Happy New Year, CK-Style

Happy New Year, CK-Style

It’s the time of the year when soon everybuddy will be axing if I made any New Year Revolutions. My answer is HAH! When you’re stunning and perfect—or perfectly stunning—there’s nothing to improve upon. I may have some revolutions for the peeps coming next week.

Blue Christmas Surprise From Chewy #ad

Blue Christmas Surprise From Chewy #ad

Christmas is as far away now as it ever will be so it’s time to start sharing reviews of some of the loot I found gift wrapped under Fraser. I can’t wait to tell you about my Secret Paws’ package from Spitty that I finally got to open, but let’s take care of sponsored “gifts” first.

Disclaimer: As a member of the Chewy.com Blogger Outreach Program, I received this product in exchange for my fair and honest review. No money exchanged hands (or paws). Chewy is not responsible for the contents of this post. I only share products that I believe in.

The 52th Snapshot of Peace

This is week 52 of the 52 Snapshots of Life photo challenge. I’ve enjoyed participating in this challenge during 2015. What could be more peace(ful) than looking out the window at all my fans and sniffing the great outdoors?

TW’s Coloring Skills

TW’s Coloring Skills

Greetings, furrends! How was you Christmas? Did you catch my DJ shift at the big Twitter #CatmasEve pawty?

My Christmas was hot. TW made Pop turn off the juice for the a/c last month cos it usually is cold in December. Instead it’s been over 70—almost 80 in the condo even with the windows open—and I roasted cos cats can’t sweat. Sure, TW could roll up her sleeves but I can’t roll up my furs.

Merry Christmas, Baby

I wish it could be Christmas every day but not if this is TW’s idea of a Christmas image. Kittehs, look what she did to me! GASP! Then she made yet another image for Tabby Cat Club. Oh, the humiliation! Go to Tabby Cat Club for another humiliating photo.

Cat Claws Subscription Box: The Gift That Keeps On Giving. Win One Here!

Cat Claws Subscription Box: The Gift That Keeps On Giving. Win One Here! #sponsored

Christmas came two weeks early at La Condo Keisha when my December Cat Claws subscription box arrived. I couldn’t wait to open it and neither could TW. Unlike my Secret Paws package that still sits lonely and unopened under the tree, she ripped into our subscription box. OMC! Was it worth it!

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary subscription box from Cat Claws in exchange for my fair and honest review. No money exchanged hands (or paws). Cat Claws is not responsible for the contents of this post. I only share products that I believe in.

Before I get to the spoiler and the giveaway—did I mention I’m having another giveaway?—I’ll refresh your memory about what Cat Claws™ is all about. They were founded in the mid 1980s by Bill and Gale Seliskar after Bill, who owned a corrugated box company, noticed their cats loved to scratch on samples he would bring home. Now you know the origin of the corrugated cardboard scratchers that so many of you love. Bet you didn’t know that. We did cos our Autumn loved those scratchers. TW would buy them in shipments of 10 a few times a year.

Rain, Rain Go Away!

Rain, Rain Go Away!

This is December and to date there’s only been one or two snow flurries. To make up for that, we’ve had rain, threat of rain or clousy* skies practically every day for months weeks. Everyone at La Condo Keisha hates it. Pop hates it cos no one in this area knows how to drive in the rain. His commute takes forever when one or more tubes of the Tunnel are closed due to accidents. TW hates it cos she doesn’t like walking in the rain to run her errands. I hate it cos it puts both peeps in foul moods.

Have Yourself an Artsy Little Christmas

Have Yourself an Artsy Little Christmas

Happy Caturday!! Are you ready for the unveiling of my 2015 Christmas card? I’d hoped to have them mailed out and in everycat’s paw by today but TW is lucky if she’s gonna help me until after Christmas. She hasn’t mailed any of her cards neither; in fact, she hasn’t even received them. HAH! Mr. Zazzle is taking his dear old time.

Let me take this opportunity to thank everyone for the lovely cards they’ve sent—both e-cards and snail mail cards. I’ve loved them all and have gotten waaaayyyy more than the peeps. My furrends are the best looking furrends any cat can have and I have to smile to see your smiling faces on your cards. That’s not to say we don’t love the other cards too. Each will be hung on the front door with love.

Secret Paws Among Friends

Secret Paws Among Friends

Every year the Cat Blogosphere does a Secret Paws that Mom Paula of Sweet Purrfections coordinates. This is our third year participating. It’s like Secret Santa; we don’t know who our package is coming from until we open it. If you don’t already have a cat blog, this is a good reason to start one. We have a very close-knit community of Friends. Yes, Friend is the week’s 52 Snapshots theme. How appropriate at this time of year.

Psst, Wanna Win A Catit Oasis Kit?

You’ve come to the right place!

Psst, Wanna Win A Catit Oasis 2.0 Kit?

You wouldn’t believe what the peeps carted into the condo a few weeks ago! It took both of them to get all the boxes from downstairs. They looked like they were moving someone into the condo but it was stuff that this little ghetto kitteh got to review.

I am being compensated to help spread the word the word about Natural Balance available at PetSmart, but Stunning Keisha only shares information I feel is relevant to my readers. Natural Balance and PetSmart are not responsible for the content of this article.

I am the most picky eater known to cat or human. I’m so picky that TW gives me a few green papers and sends me to PetSmart to pick what I like. She trusts that I’m gonna make some healthy choices and now that PetSmart® carries Natural Balance® products, she’s sure of it.

Pop’s Favorite Christmas Toy

Happy Caturday! Now that we have our tree, things are beginning to look a lot like Christmas in La Condo Keisha. The peeps brought Fraser home last weekend. The peeps and Uncle Vince went and picked him up from the train station, The Cat was left alone most of the day. It’s now Day Five and Fraser is still nekkid.

6 Reasons Your Cat Needs #PetGrass #ad

6 Reasons Your Cat Needs #PetGrass #ad

I’m an indoor kitty although in the image above TW has Photoshopped me peeking through some high grass. I know some kitties are allowed to roam outside. This is not something I condone since there are many dangers out there. I’ve been told by some indoor/outdoor kitties that the reason they like to go outside is because the grass is greener on the other side of the door. OK, but there are still dangers if you’re not chowing down on grass your human planted that you know isn't full of pesticides and other poisons. Add to that the fact that due to the drought in California and the chilly temperatures in the northern states, the grass is all brown. Keisha, you ax, where can I find green grass to settle my tummy?

Wednesday Word—Neighbor

Wednesday Word—Neighbor

Yo furrends, join me as we participate in Week 50 of the 52 Snapshots of Life photo challenge. Our mission is to show photos taken by us to depict the word Neighbor. I thought I’d show you some of my feline neighbors. They’re both members of The Alleys, my street gang. I call them my posse so their names have been changed to protect the innocent. You can hover over the pics to find out their duties for the Alleys.

The peeps done me wrong! They were out all day Sunday so I don’t even have a blog post to put up. I’ll bet you missed my wit and wisdom on social media, didn’t you?

What the Heck is Bokeh

What the Heck is Bokeh

Bokeh is this week’s 52 Snapshots’ challenge and, yeah, I had to look it up. The original definition I read described it as blur and if that is right, then TW achieves bokeh in all her photos. Unfortunately for her,  bokeh is attractive blur, not what she takes. I’ll admit that faux bokeh is not one of our favorite effects, however we’ve used it as an overlay in Photoshop (see above) and will no doubt use it again.

Foto and Shopping Frenzy

Welcome to another Friday Frenzy and have I got some great fotos—and narrative—for you! I also have something very special at the end of the post. Foto Frenzy is an almost weekly feature showing you raw foto footage of The Cat. No filters, cropping and the only actions are my own caught on film. Let’s roll!

Phoebe of 15 and Meowing picked foto #2473, which certainly shows me in action. I’m playing with the dangly gold coated string. TW is playing with me while Pop is taking the foto. This is rare cos TW usually does both and I come all motion blurry. Yep, Pop takes better fotos than TW. It’s out in the open now. You can tell I’m talkin' some trash too! I’ve used several fotos from this action shoot on the blog.

Wednesday Word—CatLadyBox

Wednesday Word—CatLadyBox

When TW received the November CatLadyBox, I was all like “ho-hum.” She’d gotten the first one to review a few months ago, and to tell the truth neither of us were overwhelmed. She did love the t-shirt and has worn it many times. Efforts to get me to pose with the box and it’s contents failed. When TW was a teen/young adult, she used to get subscription makeup boxes—two different ones if you can believe she wore makeup—and she so looked forward to getting them. They cost well under $20 and contained almost $100 worth of samples every month. I guess she had impossibly high expectations for the CatLadyBox.

What is that on the table? I never saw that can before. Whoa! that looks like my pal Waffles Too from Glogirly on the can. It must be a holiday! Wonder if he had any of the turkey …

Snow Art Drawn While You Wait

Snow Art Drawn While You Wait

Hope you finished all your Black Friday shopping—wait, I still haven’t given you my Christmas list so you couldn’t have. Today I’m participating in the Caturday Art Blog Hop. I got my Venus Paradise coloring pencils out to do a very special sketch for y'all.

Feeling Thankful

Feeling Thankful

Can you believe this little ghetto kitteh has to work on Thanksgiving? It’s true. This week’s 52 Snapshots word is Thankful and what better day to give thanks but Thanksgiving.

This Thanksgiving, we are feeling very blessed and thankful. Even though the peeps have been having a trying year health-wise, we're thankful for this roof over our heads protecting us from the elements and Pop’s job that keeps food on our table and in my dish. We’re thankful for each day we wake up to.

Wednesday Word—Active. Triangle Play Mat Review

Disclaimer: I received product in exchange for my fair and honest review. No money exchanged hands (or paws). Chewy.com is not responsible for the contents of this post. The opinions expressed herein are my own.

I am an active cat. Even though numerically I may be closer to a senior kitteh, I still play like a kitten. That’s why I thought the Kong® Triangle Play Mat for Cats would be a perfect toy for me. Chewy.com gave me the opportunity to give it a test drive. In the innerest of complete disclosure, Kong® isn’t our favorite brand but we believe in second chances.

Battle of Wits

Battle of Wits

If you saw my post Saturday, you’d know I love kibble. I’m passionate about it. In jail the shelter I was fed kibble exclusively. On the other hand, TW has never liked to serve her cats kibble even before she knew how bad it was for us. We compromise. I get a quarter of a cup of kibble twice a week so I can nosh at night after my wet food gets picked up.

Passion is No Ordinary Word

This cat is passionate about many things but number one would have to be tattooing my peeps aka biting them. Week 47’s theme in the 52 Snapshots photo challenge is Passion.

Passion is No Ordinary Word

Another thing I am passionate about is kibble. I’ll eat just about any brand of kibble. Of course, TW won’t give it to me except when I have to do a product review. Otherwise I get a spoonful twice a week. I’ll write more about my love affair with kibble next week. Let’s just say I’m so passionate about kibble that I’ll jump on the counter and get it myself.

Frenzy With Furrends

Frenzy With Furrends

This past week, my pals at Blogpaws® have been talking quite a bit about how to create perfect fotos on our blogs. I try to make sure mine are crisp and professional looking. We spend all week praying to the God of Photoshop: cropping, cloning, stippling (don’t ax), blurring, sharpening, checking tonal and color quality for each foto. But on Friday, I like to let my furs down and publish some unedited fotos that you guys choose. We all know that not every image comes perfect even though they appear that way.

#PetGrass … a Whole New Ballgame For Your Cat #ad

#PetGrass … a Whole New Ballgame For Your Cat #ad

One of the reasons TW loves to go to Yankee Stadium during the summer is to admire the look and smell of the gorgeous lush green field. Because the world revolves around me, she wonders WWCKD. What Would CK Do if she was allowed to run around on that nicely manicured grass? Would she get zoomies or would she stop and graze on the grass?

With a Little Help From The Cat

For your reading pleasure, I’m posting a real live convo TW and I had several weeks ago. I know there are kittens who may see this, so I’m editing out my TW’s bad language. You’d think she grew up on the street.

TW: CK, I just took those sheets out of the dryer. What …
CK: Is that why they’re so nice and warm. Thank you. I’m not gonna ax you why they’re not folded and put away. I think we both know the answer.

Tunnel Vision Art

Tunnel Vision Art

As always I’m participating in the Caturday Art Blog Hop and as always, we’re playing around with Photoshop actions cos they can do so much to a plain image. Can you believe TW wanted to hijack my art post by posting some cat picture she colored in some online program. That ain’t art, Woman!

A Frenzy to Find Fotos

A Frenzy to Find Fotos

This week we have a different spin on Foto Frenzy. When TW began working on the post, she couldn’t find her list anywhere. Being the lazy s.o.b. she is, she refused to go back over the last few weeks to compile the list again. Instead we begged enlisted my Facebook furrends’ help. They came through in a big way and I thank them from the bottom of my flinty little heart.

Wednesday Word—Thanks

Today is Veteran’s Day in the U.S. of A. When was the last time you said “Thank you” to one of our veterans?

My New Box—Two Conflicting Opinions

My new box—two conflicting opinions

TW always sez that people are quick to write reviews or complain to companies when an item doesn’t meet their expectations but slow to comment when an item exceeds them. This review falls into the first category—in her opinion.

Fall On Me (if u dare)

Fall on Me (if u dare)
Fall is the time of year when a ghetto cat’s fancy turns from baseball to b-ball.

They say when cats fall, they always land on their feet. I’m here to tell you, that’s not the whole story. The truth is cats never fall. Read it and weep. That time Faith “fell” out of Gramma’s second story window? I’m sure she knew what she was doing. (No cat was hurt.) At least that’s what I’d like to believe. I’d like to believe that cats aren’t as clumsy as, say, my Pop.

Talk to the Paw Foto Frenzy

Welcome to another Friday at La Casa Keisha. C’mon in. The nip is fine and the toys are flowing. Wait, did I get that right? I have a great crop of fotos to share with you today. They have to be great cos two of them were picked by more than one cat. More than one CK fans can’t be wrong.

Dona Nobis Pacem

Dona Nobis Pacem

I’m honored once again to be a peace blogger. For this, my fifth year participating in BlogBlast for Peace, my Peace Globe is dedicated to the great men and women who have dedicated their lives to the cause of peace. I’m including quotes by a few of them. This is in no way inclusive so don’t get insulted if your favorite peace quote isn’t included. BlogBlast for Peace was started in 2006 by Mimi Lenox. She wanted to know what would happen if all bloggers everywhere signed their name across an Earth globe and posted about peace on the SAME DAY with the title Dona Nobis Pacem.

U Got Me What 4 National Cat Day?

U Got Me What 4 National Cat Day?

Last Thursday cats all over the universe celebrated National Cat Day with treats, good noms and new toys. What did this kitteh get? Squat, that’s what.

I axed for Chinese takeout for dinner. Did the peeps honor my request? No. They got a chicken parm sammich. Yuck. Human gut rot! Totally inedible for this cat. I axed for new toys, a new scratching post or a new cat tree cos goodness knows I don’t have enough. What do you suppose showed up on our doorstep?

Scary Yet Stunning

Scary Yet Stunning

Happy Halloween everybuddy! This week’s appropriate photo challenge theme is Scary. As you know, I’ve been doing scary all week, starting with my Gramma’s Ghost story. Originally, I thought about using an image of TW, but that would be too scary so I settled on some unsettling images of myself.

Even though I’m stunning, I can look scary too. The image above was taken Wednesday night with my new iPawd Mini. TW used the mirror feature in PhotoBooth. She usually doesn’t use the features but this was too good to pass up. Knowing TW, you haven’t seen the last of this feature. She’s all about sabotaging my stunning image. Still it’s scary yet stunning.

Fright Night Foto Frenzy

Fright Night Foto Frenzy

HOOOOOWWWWWWWLLLLLL! Cue the spooky music! Tonight is Fright Night aka Mischief Night when all delinquent cats—why is everyone looking at me?—go out spraying egging houses and other fun frightful things. Now that the intro is done, have I got a bunch of frightful fotos this week. MOL! I picked these three fotos at random and there isn’t a single one to use as a lead.

I’ve written about Wellness Trufood before but thanks to Chewy.com, I got to taste it! They filled my trick or treat bag full of the pumpkiny goodness. I’m not one for chicken or turkey but I chowed down on the Wellness TruFood Tasty Pairings with Chicken, Pumpkin and Turkey grain-free noms—until I found out it was good for me. It then became gut-rot.

Gramma’s Ghost

Gramma’s Ghost

Whoa! Have I got a Halloween ghost story for you today! Wish I could say I read it in a book but this is a true story about ghosts. Hope it doesn’t scare your peep too much.

My Pop has a police scanner. He listens before he turns in for the night or when he hears sirens outside. The other night he went to bed and turned on his scanner. Then he called out to TW that a call had come in from their old house.

Haunted CK Rises From the Crypt

I’m saving this week’s 52 Snapshots theme of pumpkin for later in the week but I thought I’d show some early Halloween art. All you guys have been showing off the scary frames for the past month. I’m gonna save the bestest for next Saturday! Bwa ha ha!

My art for this week has nothing Photoshopped you’ll be happy to know. The frame is Pixiz and the lightning filter was also done online.

My Peeps Are Lushes Foto Frenzy

My peeps are lushes foto frenzy

So there; I said it. Welcome to a brand new Foto Frenzy. Pop and I disagreed on which foto to use as lead but I won out. Heh heh. I think by now everyone knows the rules of this feature. No photoshopping, no cropping and you take a chance by picking the fotos.

Wednesday Word—Tocktober

Stunning Keisha
I’m hear to talk to you about Tocks.

Every October, the Cat Blogosphere celebrates Tocktober to honor Angel Derby. I didn’t really know Angel Derby but I salute his memory.

Cat Claws Has a Surprise Giveaway For You

Cat Claws™ subscription box review & giveaway

Disclaimer: I received a complimentary subscription box from Cat Claws in exchange for my fair and honest review. No money exchanged hands (or paws). Cat Claws is not responsible for the contents of this post. I only share products that I believe in.

I am super, super, super excited to welcome Cat Claws™ as a new sponsor of this blog! Why am I so super times three excited? Because TW has been a customer of theirs since 1992, that’s why. Aunt Pauline first innerduced her to this fantabulous mail order company when she sent Autumn a Nipper toy—which we renamed Pauline—for Christmas. We became fans. Our first cat trees were bought from them including the pink one I still love. They come fully assembled which is a plus where my peeps are concerned. There’s so many things to love about the Cat Claws brand, including my peppermint sticks (above) that are still faves of mine.

Welcome to Keisha’s World

Welcome to Keisha’s World
There’s a whole ‘nuther world outside this window but it’s not Keisha’s World.

This week’s 52 Snapshots’ theme is World. Which way shall I take this? I’ll welcome you to Keisha’s World where everything I post is part of my world, meaning that any pic in the archives is part of MY world. Kapeesh?

My world revolves around running through my tunnels and playing with foam rockets. It’s a blogging world where I have giveaways, share my favorite fotos and tell you about cool products. Mostly it’s a world full of biting the peeps and keeping true to my feral roots.

In the Year 2525 & Other Fotos

Stunning Keisha foto frenzy

Welcome to an abbreviated version of Friday Foto Frenzy; abbreviated cos we ran a post yesterday and cos TW sliced half her thumb off this morning. At least that’s what she’d have you believe. Her thumb—of course it’s her dominant hand, the left one—had a little run in with the business part of the pill splitter. There was lots of blood and for once I wasn’t blamed for it. As I dictate this post, it’s heavily wrapped but still throbbing and hurting. Suck it up, Woman! You didn’t visit me to read about her finger though so let’s get frenzied!

Blogging the Change for Adoptable Cats

Paw Fest, Blog the Change

TW and Pop went to the third annual Paw Fest a few weeks ago. It was the first for them. They braved cold temperatures, winds gusting to 20 mph and drizzle to check it out. Of course they left the stunning cat at home.

Wednesday Word—Idol

Cat at window with laser eyes
I’m gonna wait here till they come back! Maybe they’ll see my lasers.

TW has been having a lot of trouble falling asleep. She was lying awake at 2:30 a.m. when she heard a loudspeaker or some kind of speaker phone outside of the building. Usually the only time we hear those is when the town needs to inform the residents to boil their water or some emergency. It went on for awhile so she finally staggered went to the window.

The Hungry Little CK in A Pumpkin Patch

Weruva Pumpkin Patch Up! review

I’m happy to announce we have a brand new sponsor: Chewy.com. We are late to the pawty cos we’re non-conformists but we recently placed our first order with them. The customer service and everything else was outstanding. They make you want to order from them.

My first review is for Weruva Pumpkin Patch Up! Supplement. This is totally a natural for me since I love Weruva’s food with pumpkin soup except this isn’t pumpkin soup, it’s puree. Heh. Lemme give you the 411 on this product and then tell you how you can win a box to try it from Chewy.com.
