On this Memorial Day, let us thank those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Bless them for their service to keep us free. Let us reflect on their bravery and honor them as we spend a quiet moment at the cemetery. Let us pray their deaths weren't in vain. Let us pray for everlasting peace where no other person shall have to die in the name of peace. Amen.

It's Saturday or Caturday if you prefer! I'm participating in the Caturday Art Blog Hop but I'm gonna do something different which I think will be fun. I hope you'll humor me. I'm featuring three works of art in the gallery this week. Two of them were made in Dreamscape; one in Photoshop. You have to guess which one you think is the Photoshop simple art action. It might not be as simple as it looks but then again I could be wrong.
Are you having a stunning Friday? Unfortunately we're still listening to jackhammers and pneumataic drills all day long as they tear down the old factory beneath our windows. TW's computer chair has been vibrating and she says it's so loud she can hardly think so she's not responsible for typos, etc. I say Suck it up, Woman! My hearing is more acute than yours so whatever you hear, I hear even louder. Now on to the reason you stopped by today. I guess every Friday can be called Flashback Friday but today one of our picks goes way back.
Last week I told you about Now Fresh Senior kibble I was sent by Chewy but there was something else in the box too. It was called Solid Gold but I soon found out that was not entirely truthful. The can was NOT made of gold—solid or otherwise. I will have to take my ad for gold cans down from Craig's List. The artwork on the label was very cool. However, free always tastes better so I couldn't wait for TW to open a can.

I gotta listen to the police scanner to see if TW gets arrested. |
If you've ever read this blog before, you won't find it strange that TW and I have the occasional difference of opinion. OK, we disagree a lot. TW is going on jury duty tomorrow. She has to leave very early in the morning which bums her out since her normal "business" hours are 10 am to 1 am. I'm upset cos I haven't been left alone all day in ages. I'll starve to death if I don't get my lunch at noon. Beside those differences, there's the dilemma of how she'll be spending those days away from The Cat.
Yo cats and kittehs! Welcome to my gallery. Here's the way it was supposed to be. We were just gonna do it nice and simple. We were going to turn our image into one art masterwork instead of using a hunnert different filters. It didn't turn out that way.
Hooray for Friday! Cats with humans who work outside of the house can spend the next two days getting pet, brushed and played with. It's also the day you get to decide what fotos this little ghetto kitteh posts. This blog is called Stunning Keisha but Friday is all about you, the readers. You call out the numbers and Random.org chooses which ones I publish each week so TW doesn't play favorites. She also doesn't get to use Photoshop so whatcha see if what came outta the flashy box.
When TW first opened up this month's #ChewyInfluencer box, I thought she'd mistakenly requested food for HHGutt. As I saw it, the bag read SEÑOR cat food thus it had to be for my Méxican amigo Señor HHGutt. What the heck was that about? Now we're feeding the stuffies too? But then my worst fears were realized.

I'm sure this won't surprise any of you but TW is far from a techie genius. Any mention of the letters h t m and l sends her into cold sweats. The thought of switching hosts or even self-hosted WordPress makes her break out in hives. That said, a few weeks ago some of you may have noticed we went off-line for about eight hours. Blame it on TW. I did. We were transferring my domain name over to a new registrar. OK, it wasn't entirely her fault but I'm gonna tell you what you need to do if you're ever tempted to do this to make your life easier.
Welcome to another Caturday Artsy Fartsy Day. You might notice I don't have my beret on today cos tomorrow is Straw Hat Day. Being a multi-tasker, I decided to combine them into one fabulous post. And if that's not enough, I'll also add a straw hat selfie, a few black and white sketches and do some electioneering. Count it: that will be three blog hops and two special days celebrated as one! Can you ax for anything more one kitteh!
It's Friday the 13th but it's also the second Friday of the month which means along with our usual Friday feature, I'm gonna show you some special bloopers. Today you're gonna see TW's Greatest Bloopers. She's always trying to say that I mess up all the product shoots so let's see a few that she messed up big time. First let's feature a few Foto Frenzy pics.
Yo! Welcome to this month's edition of From a Cat's Perspective™. Say hi to Savannah sitting to my right. We've gotten a great response to our first two shows and hope you enjoy what we're doing. We're talking about one of my favorite subjects this week: Free Food.
I love free food! |
There's a woman in the Dunkin Donuts near us who always gives TW a free donut or two when she buys her coffee. On those days, Pop always says "free always tastes better" and it does. Right now I'm eating some new kibble that Chewy sent me and it's nommy and … what's that Savvy?
Guess what? TW found my "beach ball" that's been missing for years! She also found one of the fake Skinneeez shmousy toys that was lost! This is big news! |
I promised you an update on my Burd-tv situation and here it is complete with
Happy Mother's Day to all Feline Moms and humans who have been adopted by cats. Today I'm celebrating Mother's Day for those special feline moms who birthed us and made sure we received a good start in life. Many cats don't know who their real mothers are while others come from breeders or are lucky enough to live under the same roof as their cat mom. Some feral cats aren't that lucky and had to be bottle- or syringe-fed by humans. No matter, unless you popped out of her, your human mom may call herself your mom but she's really The Woman. I know that seems harsh but it's something I've been meaning to say for awhile. I have to explain all the time why TW isn't my Mom. My Mom was a beautiful feline with four paws and a long tail who, if you read my Gotcha Story, left me all too soon.
Ta da!! It's TGIF! The day your peeps have been waiting for and the slowest day of the week for blog traffic. I've noticed that among all the blogs we read. We have lots of news to share as far as my Burd-tv, some lost toys that were found and other hot topics around the condo but they can wait until next week. This week's Foto Frenzy doesn't really have an outstanding lead image but I hope you'll enjoy it anyway. It was a cloudy, drizzly week so I have my lasers on.

This post actually has nothing to do with dancing and a lot to do with abuse. Abuse of The Cat. The kitteh's luck finally ran out. The calendar showed it was April and even though I hadn't gotten my usual April asthma attacks, the peeps dragged me kicking and screaming to the stabby place aka the Secaucus Animal Hospital. All sorts of mayhem took place before we even left the house which was far more inneresting than the actual visit. Lemme set the stage.
