The Stunning Cat in the Straw Hat

Welcome to another Caturday Artsy Fartsy Day. You might notice I don't have my beret on today cos tomorrow is Straw Hat Day. Being a multi-tasker, I decided to combine them into one fabulous post. And if that's not enough, I'll also add a straw hat selfie, a few black and white sketches and do some electioneering. Count it: that will be three blog hops and two special days celebrated as one! Can you ax for anything more one kitteh!

First we'll have some art celebrating both Straw Hat Day and the upcoming elections. I know most of you have had your primaries already but we haven't so we still feeling the bern. This little ghetto kitteh is a rebel with sharp claws. MOL! Traditionally, election time was when politicians would put on their straw boater aka skimmer hats filled with political buttons. I have done this artsily™—note: I have coined a word and this will be trademarked—by using first a watercolor filter, then an abstract art filter.

OK, some of you aren't political or aren't even U.S. citizens—although those overseas should really care about our election this year—so for those cats I've done some Straw Hat Day non-political "selfie" art using the same filters as above. Of course this isn't a real selfie since TW took it and then Photoshopped the hat on me but who's gonna call me on it.

Finally, my black and white sketches. I like how old-timey they look.
