Who’s Got Shelter Cats? #FoodShelterLove

This post is sponsored by Hill’s. I am being compensated for helping spread the word about Hill’s® Food, Shelter, & Love Program, but Stunning Keisha only shares information I feel is relevant to my readers. Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Inc. is not responsible for the content of this article.

June is Adopt a Shelter Cat Month. That is funny cos I always thought Adopt a Shelter Cat Month was January cos that’s when this little ex-shelter cat was sprung from a lifetime of cages and bars. I’ll never forget my time at the two shelters. The first one was supposed to be a no-kill but why did a rescue group spring me and some furrends to save us from getting PTS? They thought I was worth rehabilitating and I found myself in another shelter still waiting. On January 29th, 2006, an elderly couple came to the adoption event, paid my bail and took me home. They had seen my mug shot in the post office stunning photo on something called petfinder.com and liked what they saw.

Caturday Art: Grazing in the Grass

Today I don’t have to do a lot of blog hopping because I already submitted my entry to 52 Snapshots. I am participating in the Caturday Art Blog Hop hosted by Athena and Marie.

I decided to do something a bit different but nonetheless stunning. You know we believe that indoor cats should stay indoors because of all the dangers that lurk outside in the form of dogs, cars, crazy people who would poison cats, etc.

Fuzzy Focus Foto Frenzy

Welcome to Stunning Keisha’s ‘hood! Today we have a brand new edition of my Foto Frenzy. I know you’ve all been waiting to see some of TW’s not ready for prime time fotos and this week we don’t disappoint. All fotos are chosen by YOU, the readers, from our archive of almost 6000.

Wednesday Word—Domination

Everybuddy knows cats already own the Interwebs; what they may not all realize is we own the world too. Just like the great human Dr. King, my furrend Sparkle had a dream. Her dream was that Cat World Domination Day be celebrated as a holiday on this day annually. Sparkle may have passed on last August but her legacy, Cat World Domination Day, will live on. All cats are created equal but they are superior to humans.

Open Letter to AARP

I don’t stay this stunning by eating junk food.
Dear AARP,

TW was reading your 99 Great Ways to Save in the June 2015 issue of AARP Bulletin cos who doesn’t need to save in this economy. However, we both gasped when we reached reason 56. As a pet blogger who thinks she knows a bit about pet nutrition, I couldn’t disagree with you more. From the online comments the article has received, I’m not the only one who feels this way.

Hanging With My Pop

That’s me and my Pop! ♡ He’s a real cat Daddy aka Father. Today in the U.S. we celebrate the male figures in our lives. Heck, those male figures don’t even have to be male. 52 Snapshots of Life, the weekly photo challenge hosted by The Lazy Pit Bull is going with the theme of Father for this coming week. I’m gonna be proactive and link this Father’s Day blog when the blog hop goes up Friday. Anyone with a social media account can enter using the hashtags #52Snapshots or #TLPB, They don’t discriminate if you don’t have a blog.

Two Flags and a Tat

Last Sunday was Flag Day but I didn’t get around to putting up a post. 52 Snapshots of Life give me another chance to show my colors cos the theme for week 25 is Flag. I’m all over this! 52 Snapshots of Life is a weekly photo challenge hosted by The Lazy Pit Bull that anyone with a social media account can play using the hashtags #52Snapshots or #TLPB, They don’t discriminate if you don’t have a blog.

International Box Day Foto Frenzy

#16 is too big.

I’m up on my soap box—pretend it is a soap box—because today has been declared International Box Day by the powers that be. Today is also Friday, which means it’s a Foto Frenzy time. After checking out the fotos chosen by you, the readers, there was nary a box to be seen. That means we’ll have to cheat pick some numbers and see what comes up. Nevertheless, they are unedited except to add the watermark.

Wednesday Word—Chicken

I’m here on my prayer rug to talk about a topic near and dear to me. Food.

When TW was at Blogpaws last month, she brought home a lot of samples for me to try. She really scored at the Chicken Soup for the Soul® booth. They gave her a 5-lb bag of their Indoor with Hairball Control Formula kibble. Disclaimer: Even though we received the food for free, we received no green papers and the opinions are honest and my own. No one tells this little ghetto kitteh what to say or eat. Na mean?

Being as this is Adopt A Shelter Cat Month, I thought I’d begin this review by telling you how the company created their new pet food packaging which shows the loving, devoted relationship between humans and their pets. They partnered with Outreach to Pets in Need (OPIN), a shelter in Stamford, CT, and found 11 models who were recently rescued, looking to find their furever homes or adopted. The model on the Indoor with Hairball Control, Goblin, was adopted at six months of age after being surrendered twice. Goblin’s story is much like my own. I was finally adopted by the peeps at around six or seven months old after being returned at least once.

I’m A Long-Lean-Biting Machine

When I stretch out, my cat bed can’t hold all of me.

I’m sure you’ve all heard the adage “Size Matters.” I’m here to tell you it’s true. This morning I was sleeping next to TW in bed all stretched out. I went from one side of the pillow to the other. Instead of snapping a pic first so she wouldn’t have to sift through 5,000 file footage pics, she fumbled around and got out a tape measure. She wanted to see how long I was just for the halibut.

My Comfort Zone

Love to sink my tired body into this pillowtop mattress.

Cats can find comfort in lots of different places and positions inside and outside as I’m sure those with cats already know. My favorite comfort spot is TW’s pillowtop mattress. It’s so soft and comfy. I’ll bet she bought it with me in mind. Why am I telling you this today? You probably guessed that Comfort is this week’s photo challenge in the 52 Snapshots of Life photo game hosted by The Lazy Pit Bull. Anyone with a social media account can play using the hashtags #52Snapshots or @TLPB,

1731 & 125 Are Good Fotos … or Are They?

#125 shows ME and a stuffie.

A few weeks ago, the Trout Towne Tabbies did a much recommended (by me) post titled "1731 and 125 wuz good yeerz … ore were they?” so I decided to use those numbers for today’s lucky Friday Foto Frenzy. You’ll have to read their post to find out what the numbers stand for. For those new to this blog and the Foto Frenzy, my followers pick the numbers and I show the corresponding fotos totally unphotoshopped or edited.

Wednesday Word—Blogpaws

There was no time for an EZ during the Blogpaws’ conference.

TW has been home from the Blogpaws conference in Nashville for over a week and I think it’s time she showed you pics of some of the fun Plush CK and Mario2 had on the trip. We sat in the back seat for the long car ride and occasionally got out to stretch our paws.

Cat Throws Up! Exclusive Foto!!

I wanted to try this thing called clickbait that I’ve been hearing about. You know, you sensationalize the title of a post and the masses flock to it. Kinda like the old tabloids World Weekly News and Examiner. Come on, your peeps are lying if they say they never picked one up while they were waiting to check out at the supermarket.

Play It Again CK

Our first Saturday since TW returned and it’s already time to start hopping. I’m gonna hop on all four legs if you don’t mind. In fact, I’m going to be playing since the theme is Play on the weekly 52 Snapshots of Life photo challenge. This fun challenge is hosted by The Lazy Pit Bull and is a Blog Hop so check out the other entries. You can use any social media medium to join in, just use the hashtags #PBSG and #52Snapshots.

Fresh-Faced Foto Frenzy

#2

I’m gonna give you a treat today. This Foto Frenzy is gonna feature three images from the very first roll of film TW took of my stunningness. Yeah, it was a roll of film since we didn’t own a digital camera. You’ll notice TW was an even worse photographer with her SLR. HAH! Thanx to the cats who’s choices are pictured.

Wednesday Word—Race

One of my favorite activities is racing through my Tunnel of Pain and the Tunnel of Pain & Suffering. I’m usually going at such a speed that it’s impossible for TW to snap a photo. Why is this relevant today?

Oatmeal: Healthy or Hazardous

STOP THE PRESSES!! WE INTERRUPT OUR USUAL BLOG FOR AN IMPORTANT NEWS FLASH!

First there was Hurricane Katrina. Then there was the Japan Earthquake and tsunami. Later came the tornadoes in Alabama. Now comes the Quick Oats incident of 2011.

☂♪Oatmeal keeps falling on my head and that means the woman will be bit until she's dead.
