Giving Thanks

Everybody asks me what I have to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. Quite a bit, it turns out. Of course, I'm thankful to Companion Animals Placement for rescuing me from the kill shelter. I'm thankful to Ma and Pop for finding me and giving me a roof over my head and a place to hang my smousy toys—and for knowing who's the boss around here. I'm thankful to Pop for not letting Ma return me just cos I attack her all the time. Other things I'm thankful for: my cat food (even if it's not nearly enough), people food (why don't they ever have roast beef?), my sharp teeth and claws (¯me? I wouldn't bite you, Ma¯), my furriends on Twitter and now Facebook, TUNA!, the kisses that I get every day (awww) and being a cat (so I don't have to go to work and can sleep all day). Most of all, I'm thankful that my Maker chose to make me THE WORLD'S MOST STUNNING CAT!

I'm an Aunt! It's a BOY!

I'd like to congratulate my furriend Micamizoo on the birth of a beautiful little boy kitteh last night. The kitteh's name is yet to be determined but Mama and baby look so sweet and loving together. Mica is a Korat, a breed considered to be a symbol of good fortune and I'm fortunate to know her. Pop is a marbled bengal who is one lucky mancat. Love you, Honey!

How to Become a Hero

It's easier than you think to become a hero. I just placed the Widget for the SantaPaws drive on this site. This site is dedicated to helping shelter animals have a happy holiday season by making sure they, too, get gifts like you and I. Started by @YourDailyCute and partnered by @frugaldougal (picture above) and @BabyPatches and, this great idea brings joy to homeless cats and dogs without stepping out of your cozy home. It is not these anipal's fault that they find themselves in shelters. Believe me, I've been there.

The holidays, however, is not the only time you can donate to those less fortunate. Every time Ma takes me to the V E T, she brings along a bag of my under-used toys and scratching posts and such for the less fortunate anipals. Don't throw out those old sheets, blankets or towels, donate them to the shelters. They'll use them to line cages and pet carrying cases. The past year alone, we've donated about 5 sets of towels, sheets, and extra litter pans. We've also provided Thanksgiving dinner for 24 cats who have yet to find their furever homes who currently call the Liberty Shelter home. Look in your closets I'm sure you'll find something.

Please find it in your hearts to click on the link or on the blue box and become a hero.
