Every year the Cat Blogosphere does a Secret Paws that Mom Paula of Sweet Purrfections coordinates. This is our third year participating. It’s like Secret Santa; we don’t know who our package is coming from until we open it. If you don’t already have a cat blog, this is a good reason to start one. We have a very close-knit community of Friends. Yes, Friend is the week’s 52 Snapshots theme. How appropriate at this time of year.
Our mission: buy, wrap and send our packages to our Secret Paws. Mission almost accomplished. Yesterday TW went to the post office in the pouring rain and mailed these the expensive way so they will get there before Easter. Of course she has to be fashionably late. This is our first year using all kitty wrapping paper! Three different kinds! Yes, that stocking is filled with prezzies!
Thanks to Christina and The Lazy Pit Bull for hosting the 52 Snapshots of Life photo challenge this week and every week throughout 2015. For those who would like to participate, next week’s theme is Peace.
Since it’s Friday and since I’ve got your attention, I’m gonna sneak in a Foto Frenzy image. King Spitty from da San Fran city wanted me to show #2449 and his wish is gonna come true. See that spot that looks bald on my back? Well, it’s not. It’s the remnants of a rainbow. Yes, that's a rainbow on my furs! Sometimes in the morning, the sun hitting the beveled mirror produces a rainbow. TW thought it looked pawsome. She tried using the flash so it didn’t show as well as the ones I posted in this post.
Unfortunately too many friends have gone Over the Rainbow Bridge recently. The rainbow on my furs is for them. Do rainbows come into your house and sleep on you?

Love your kitty paper. We still have our Hello Kitty paper from last year. Thanks for participating in the Secret Paws.
ReplyDeleteWhat great paper(s)! *My* Human did a pretty good shopping job (well, for a Human) but her wrapping skills leave a WHOLE lot to be desired. Sigh. She did get it into the mail though, so that was a plus.
ReplyDeleteThank you for posting the picture I picked! Guess what? The number is is part of her birfday--she is OLDER than DIRT as you can prolly tell from the '49 part--ha ha ha meow ;-) I lubz the rainbow sleeping on you. XOXOXO
I want to say that that big box my human sent her Secret Paws presents in probably cost more to ship than the value of the things inside it!!
ReplyDeleteYou deserve a rest after all that hard work CK, but we know your SP will love what you sent!!
ReplyDeleteThe Kitty Wrapping Paper should make up fer any lateness.
ReplyDeleteOh Meow CK we can't wait to see who gets yous box. Weez sure they're gunna luv it. We so enjoy seein' what you all get from each other. And we luv yous rainbow. We don't have any of those peekin' in our house. Have a pawsum weekend.

I have never participated in that Secret Santa with the blog world. Every year, after seeing all the pictures, I always tell myself that I should have participated. The shopping is what holds me back - it's too hard to get out and shop during the winter (although this winter has proved me wrong). TW really did a great job of wrapping.
ReplyDeleteMom didn't mail our Secret Santa Paws until two days ago, and it is going far, far, far away! Easter, yeah that sounds about right for delivery of ours. Humans just cannot be relied upon to do things for us in a timely manner. We went to the original rainbow post, as we didn't know you then C.K. Those were such cool photos. We have leaded, beveled-glass windows in the front of our 1912 house, and we often have rainbows in the foyer. Mom has never caught any of us lying in one. Lucky catch for TW. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely gifts ! Your wrapping paper is so cute ! We bet some kitty is going to be happy... Purrs
ReplyDeleteThat is lovely wrapping paper. Eric and I always used to take part in Secret Paws, but since he had to leave us, I don't do it any more. I do miss it, but to be truthful, I have so many toys and only play with a few of my favourites. Mum took a load to our local shelter last Christmas.
ReplyDeleteSecret Paws is the highlight of the Christmas season!!! Some kitty is going to be very lucky to be getting your package ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat job wrapping, I love the paper and I bet what is inside is even better :)
ReplyDeleteWe got our Secret Paws package yesterday but the mom won't let us open it until Christmas. She's such a Scrouge.
ReplyDeleteWe love secret Santa!
ReplyDeleteYou wrap one heck of a package...

Mom mailed our packages the expensive way today too. We'll never know why she waits so long. Your rainbow is very special!
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
I bet your Secret Paws recipient will be thrilled to get all those beautiful packages! This year we didn't do Secret Paws although we DID last year (MOM!!!!) - next year we will get back into the swing of things though!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sammy
This is my first year participating in Secret Paws and I'm so excited. Mom sent my package a long time ago and we haven't heard yet if they received it. We just got ours a couple of days ago and mom won't let us open it yet. Your kitty paper is so cute.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun thing to do with your friends for the holidays! Surprises are so nice. We think TW got your package in the mail just in time to make it before Easter. :)
ReplyDeletewhoever receives your package as Secret Paws will be thrilled for sure.
