Blogging From A to Z: Z is for …

Hola kitties! I'm participating in  I've finished the Blogging A to Z Challenge! During my 10 years of blogging, I've been axed to pose with some crazy shit. Over the past month I've shared some of those pics. No cat was harmed during the taking of these photos but a human may have been harmed. I was never put in any danger or made to do anything that would hurt me. Most of these image have never been posted before. My likeness was not photoshopped into any of the pics you've seen during this challenge. Today's letter is Z.

Blogging From A to Z: Z is for …

Z is for—TAA DAA!— zucchini.  Some folks would call these squash—cos that's what they are—but that wouldn't fit the letter Z so we won't. TW took some pics where I was looking over the giant zucchinis Aunt Theresa gave them from her garden but she didn't know where to find them. As always happens, she was looking for another pic for this challenge and there they were! They're not great like most of the A to Z pics but it is what it is when TW is your photographer.

Blogging From A to Z: Z is for …

Contrary to popular belief, cats are NOT scared of zucchini but you shouldn't try to spook your cat like that just cos you saw some moron do it on youtube. All parts of a zucchini or squash plant can be safely eaten by cats unless they've been sprayed with pesticides. While researching this, I found that while zucchini doesn't provide the nutrients we need, it can help bulk up an overweight cat's food without adding calories to help weight loss. Losing weight can be instrumental when a cat has diabetes.

I hope you enjoyed following along and hope you have some favorite posts from the past month. Did you guess any of them? I'd like to say it was fun participating, but no, that would be a lie. TW has ignored me for the past month—actually longer since we started working on it a few months ago. It has been fun posting every day though. Thanks to those who have followed along on the journal. Don't get used to this cos in May, we will be back to posting once a week on Friday.

As you can imagine, we are thankful this month and the A to Z Challenge is over! I'm joining the Thankful Thursday blog hop over at Brian's Home. What are you thankful for?

  2. I would probably like zucchini, but my human loathes it and won't touch it! So I'll never know unless somebody sneaks me some.

Concats on accomplishing all 26 days!

We enjoy baba ganoush, which uses grilled zucchini, but I'll admit that it's an acquired taste.

  10. We had to come see what you had for Z! Never would have guessed zucchini, and we sure didn't know cats could eat it. I can't imagine our fussy Sam would have touched it though, but she might have surprised us - at least once anyway. :)

  11. Cute photos. We already have zucchini, my hubby started growing one on the enclosed porch back in February and we had our first one for Easter-much smaller than those pictured. Congrats on completing The A-Z challenge- you should celebrate with some Chinese food. XO
