Q is for Quick Oats. I had to reach for a Q but I found one. I'm not exactly posing but this will do. TW had an accident which involved me, my kibble and quick oats. The incident happened in 2011 but I reran it a few years later. It was originally titled "Oatmeal Keeps Falling on My Head" and the post was a lot funnier than the incident. Before she even swept up the carnage, she took these pics. They would have been better if she would have showed the mess she created rather than the calm aftermath.

Oatmeal is fine for us cats to eat in moderation. Some cat foods use oatmeal as a source of vitamin B. It contains a lot of carbohydrates and very little protein so it's not ideal for our sensitive stomachs and nutritional needs. You can, however, combine oatmeal with homemade cat food cause it does offer us some benefits. It contains iron, fiber, manganese, calcium and other vitamins and is low gluten. In addition, oatmeal has anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor properties. It's not a good idea to use cinnamon or other flavored oatmeals. and, oh yeah, no oatmeal cookies for kitty.
That's all I have for you today. Too bad Q wasn't for Queen. Na mean? What do you think I'll be posing with for the letter R? Maybe it will be for Royal or Regal which I am?
I wonder what you'll have for R!
ReplyDeleteThat was quite an achievement finding something beginning with Q.
ReplyDeleteThe Hubby cooks SLOW oats every morning, and in the past he's made oat groats.
ReplyDeleteNone of these have a 'q', but they surely are tasty!
Quick oats are a staple in our house right now! Our mom says they're good to have on hand right now. Hope you're all safe and well, friends.
ReplyDeleteYou are a queen. Quick Oats will have to do though.
ReplyDeleteHave a purrfect day and week. My best to your mom. ♥
The Oatmeal Incident! LOL that's sort of like our Lamb Cake Incidents.
ReplyDeleteDarn, I wish we could have seen the oatmeal on your head, MOL!
ReplyDeleteMom agrees that oats are yummy when they're turned into cookies or granola bars. Oatmeal cereal....we'll pass. We'll pass on oat rain too.
ReplyDeleteI have a pair of shelves over the basement stairs that hold various food items. One day I grabbed the quick oats to bake something not remembering they were open. I don't need to tell you what happened from there!
ReplyDeleteQ is a toughie letter but you sure done good CK! R you ready for tomorrow?
ReplyDeleteQuick oats- I would have never guessed that one. R-radio? record player?
ReplyDeleteI am probably wrong. XO
We were expecting you with a Q-tip today, CK!
