Blogging From A to Z: Q is for …

Hola kitties! I'm participating in the Blogging A to Z Challenge! During my 10 years of blogging, I've been axed to pose with some crazy stuff. I'm sharing some of those sessions this month. No cat was harmed during the taking of these photos but a human may have been harmed. I was never put in any danger or made to do anything that would hurt me. Most of these image have never been posted before. My likeness was not photoshopped into any of the pics during this challenge. Today's letter is Q.

Blogging From A to Z: Q is for …

Q is for Quick Oats. I had to reach for a Q  but I found one. I'm not exactly posing but this will do. TW had an accident which involved me, my kibble and quick oats. The incident happened in 2011 but I reran it a few years later. It was originally titled "Oatmeal Keeps Falling on My Head" and the post was a lot funnier than the incident. Before she even swept up the carnage, she took these pics. They would have been better if she would have showed the mess she created rather than the calm aftermath.

Blogging From A to Z: Q is for …

Oatmeal is fine for us cats to eat in moderation. Some cat foods use oatmeal as a source of vitamin B. It contains a lot of carbohydrates and very little protein so it's not ideal for our sensitive stomachs and nutritional needs. You can, however, combine oatmeal with homemade cat food cause it does offer us some benefits. It contains iron, fiber, manganese, calcium and other vitamins and is low gluten. In addition, oatmeal has anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor properties. It's not a good idea to use cinnamon or other flavored oatmeals. and, oh yeah, no oatmeal cookies for kitty.

That's all I have for you today. Too bad Q wasn't for Queen. Na mean? What do you think I'll be posing with for the letter R? Maybe it will be for Royal or Regal which I am?

  2. The Hubby cooks SLOW oats every morning, and in the past he's made oat groats.
None of these have a 'q', but they surely are tasty!

  8. I have a pair of shelves over the basement stairs that hold various food items. One day I grabbed the quick oats to bake something not remembering they were open. I don't need to tell you what happened from there!
