Hello everybuddy and welcome to another edition of the Blogging From A to Z Challenge. I’m your host CK and I’m an Only Cat and Only Cat is our O phrase. In the blogging community, we’re a rare breed of cat. There’s only me, Sammy, Spitty, Flynn and Truffles.
Being an Only Cat means I don’t have any fursibs to entertain me so I have to rely on TW and my imagination. Anything and everything can be a play thing.
I dare you to reach in and take my asparagus! |
Unfortunately for me, said asparagus stalk dried up so TW threw it out. She’s promised me another one or maybe a stray green bean that she finds in one of the bodegas but so far she hasn’t produced the produce.
I’ll bet you cats in multicat households don’t have to resort to playing with fruits and vegetables, do you?
Each day during the Blogging From A to Z Challenge, I’m featuring an adoptable cat. Do you volunteer at a shelter and want one or more of your cats featured? Contact me by email or on FB or Twitter.
You may remember Oscar from Brian’s Home. I figured it couldn’t hurt to share it here. Therefore, O is for Oscar. He is a most handsome Mancat and he’s urgently waiting in Greenville, SC.

Oscar is an extremely laid back boy and is a loves-everyone kind of fellow. His owners have a toddler who has contracted an immune deficiency disorder and doctors orders are to get rid of everything with four legs, which includes their two dogs, one without eyes. Oscar is one and a half years old, up to date on shots, only lived inside, tested negative and is neutered. He is great around dogs and the little boy pulls his ears and tail and this laid back mancat does not seem to mind in the least.
If you can help dear Oscar, please contact Brian at brian (at) brianshomeblog (dot) com.

I would probably eat asparagus if I had the chance. I've already eaten cantaloupe and broccoli, so I am a fruits and veggies kind of kitty!
ReplyDeleteMe too is a O cat and yep me too plays with vegetables now and then. My favorite is cocktail tomatoes they roll very good :)
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Yuck hate any foodable that is green but nice idea CK, play with it. Have a fabulous Friday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Being an only cat in the blogging world is quite rare, isn't it? Mommy tells me that I most likely won't be an only cat forever, though, so don't get used to it!!! --Truffles
ReplyDeleteOscar has a very sad story...purring he finds his forever home very soon.
Oh CK what we'd give to be only cats! You are so lucky you don't have to put up with brothers and sisters. Oscar is so cute!
ReplyDeleteCK, my Grandpa Bobo was an "only" cat and so am I!! Well, I have Dakota (Grandpa Bobo had no one), but I would hardly call you deprived!! MOL! You have tons of toys and two pawrents who love you to pieces! Love, Cody
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy being an "only"......don't have to fight for attention, treats, food, toys - its MINE ALL MINE. My Mom would like to have more kitties but I've already voted NO and I'm 15 so she listens to me!
ReplyDeleteAsparagus huh? I may give it a try.
Hugs, Sammy
Moosey would probably eat the asparagus. His favorite snack is lettuce. Go figure!
ReplyDeleteUs Only cats have to stick together ck. I don't mind being an only cat, but it would be fun to have someone ese to play with now and then.
ReplyDeleteYou are stunning CK, but not only stunning, super stunning. Thanks for sharing handsome Oscar, he appreciates it and so do we!!!
ReplyDeleteWe're not only cats, but we love to play with green beans ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteI am eventually getting used to being an only cat but it was better when my brother was here. I don't play with veggies, I go and catch a mousie to play with. My mum says it is the first time she has had just one kitty since her very first cat. Before my humans adopted me and Eric she had 11 kitties, and Kitty Yumbum was the last of them and we came to keep her company because she was lonely.
ReplyDeleteI'm not an only cat but i kind of live like one. My brothers pick on me so I avoid them. I don't like confrontation. I'm mama's girl and I hang with her. Mom doesn't give us vegetables but they sound fun to play with.
ReplyDeleteY'know I hate to say it, but sometimes I wish I was an only cat. ~Wally
ReplyDeleteIt breaks my heart to read about cats that lose homes to kids, I decided after I got my first cat that there would be no children so that would never happen. I hope Oscar gets a forever home soon. I saw the Facebook post about your Mom and I hope she feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteyou sure have some wonderful cats you are show casing BFGF. And I also wish I was an only cat again sometimes. That asparagus sounds interesting, but TKS would like it!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! We sure are surprised though that you like asparagus - it's quite a distinct taste. Our guys love pumpkin and Charlie has a thing about nectarines - he can sniff out me eating one from some distance away!
ReplyDeleteoh Oscar you are so lovely and look at those bicolored eyes!!
ReplyDeleteWow, glad you had so much fun with that asparagus, how cute! Oscar is so handsome, wishing and purring for a very special forever home for him.
