Boxes and Bags are the Best

This post is brought to you by the letter cos I’m participating in the Blogging From A to Z Challenge! Cats have lots of fun in boxes and bags. Last week, TW had a paper bag that wouldn’t open so she ripped it open and gave it to me. The bag has been dying a slow, painful death ever since. One entire side is ripped open and now it’s more like a sheet of kraft paper. Here’s how the bag looked when she first gave it to me.

I’ll get that straw and deaden it!

During this Challenge I’ll be spotlighting adoptable cats from A to Z. If you have any fosters, rescues or cats that need to be rehomed and you want them featured here, drop me an email or message the Stunning Keisha page on FB. Our featured letter A cat, Annika, was adopted. Can we work our magic again?

B as in Blackie. She is our adoptable cat of the day. Meet this pretty ladycat who has two strikes against her—her color and her age—but don’t tell her that.

"Hello ladies and gentlemen, thank you for noticing my strikingly beautiful photo. Isn't it just lovely? Let me tell you about myself. I am a mature, petite, solid black, long haired beauty who came here to Great Plains when my owner couldn't take care of me any more. So very sad to find myself here at my age. So many people are looking for a youngster, but let me tell you, us middle aged kitties make purrrfect companions. We know all about being a friend to our humans, we are affectionate and loving. I have expert lap warming skills and my fur is so very soft. I can help you relax after a long hard day. I do enjoy people of all ages, even children. I love to sit in the lap of some of the young volunteers and help them along with their reading. What more could you ask for in a kitty? Beauty and brains, I have them both. Please come down to Great Plains and ask to meet Blackie. I will be watching for you my friend."

Blackie is waiting at the Great Plains SPCA in Independence, MO. For more information on this gorgeous 10+ year old black panfur, call 816-621-7722.

  5. Truffles totally agrees...there is nothing like a box or a bag. She even loves plastic bags (which she only gets under strict supervision!)

What fantastic news about Annika...purring that beautiful Blackie is just as lucky :)

  6. How wonderful Annika found home! Blackie is such a beautiful kitty. It's very sad that her former human couldn't take care of her any more. She deserves loving forever home and I hope it's just around the corner.

  18. Would you believe I've only recently discovered the joy of boxes? I'm still on the fence with bags. But Waffles totally makes up for it. I just need to figure out how to seal those bags and boxes!
