Happy National Tuxedo Cat Day

Happy National Tuxedo Cat Day
Tuxies are stunning!

Tomorrow is National Black Cat Day. What's up with that? Does it seem to you that there are about seven days each year honoring black cats? Dunno who declared this but I say no fair to those of us cats who have different color furs and markings. When I look through the CB weekly planner, I see lots of black cats and tabbies but few tuxies and torties.

Wednesday Word—Sean

Wednesday Word—Sean

I hear you axing why am I standing here with a poster of this cat. This is Sean, from Brooklyn, NY. Sean's owner died leaving him in a situation that's all too common. Unlike other orphaned cats, Sean's owner's estate is paying maintenance on the apartment so Sean can continue to live there until he can find a new forever home. Obviously, this is not a permanent situation.

Blogging the Change for Adoptable Cats

Paw Fest, Blog the Change

TW and Pop went to the third annual Paw Fest a few weeks ago. It was the first for them. They braved cold temperatures, winds gusting to 20 mph and drizzle to check it out. Of course they left the stunning cat at home.

Minding My Pee’s & Q's

It’s Caturday! This means I’ll be participating in the Caturday Art Blog Hop hosted by Athena and Marie, as well as continuing Blogging From A to Z Challenge. We’re up to P so mind your P’s and Q’s. Anyone know what that means? I don’t. Anyhoo, I can promise a pawsome post.

“Only” An Only Cat

Hello everybuddy and welcome to another edition of the  Blogging From A to Z Challenge. I’m your host CK and I’m an Only Cat and Only Cat is our O phrase. In the blogging community, we’re a rare breed of cat. There’s only me, Sammy, Spitty, Flynn and Truffles.

Dontcha Want A Little Nicky You Can Call Your Own?

A Nicky who’ll be with you when you’re all alone. Heh. We’re up to N in the blogging from A to Z Challenge and N is for Nicky, TW’s heart (koff, koff) cat. He slept on her legs every night and she loved him to death. She called him her “cuddle bunny” and is quick to point out that he never tried to bite her.

7 Ways A Cat Can Save Your Life #BtC4A

Our first M today is for Motivation. I’m gonna motivate you to get a cat if’n you don’t already have a few. In addition to the halfway point in the Blogging From A to Z Challenge today is a BtC4A day. All month long I’ve been Blogging the Change by spotlighting rescues and adoptable cats. When you adopt a cat from a rescue or shelter, you save three lives: the cat you adopted, another cat who can be pulled from a kill shelter or from the street to take the cage of the cat you brought home and potentially yours. Now I’m gonna give you more reasons to bring home one of my featured cats. The internet is full of stories of hero cats who went above and beyond the call of duty to save their human family.

Life is a Blessing

My Blessings. All mine!

I have to count my Blessings that I’m through almost half of the Blogging From A to Z Challenge. It’s been a real challenge in more than one way. Today I’m also participating in the 52 Snapshots of Life Photo Challenge hosted by the Lazy Pit Bull and that theme is Blessings. L can stand for Life or Lazy something I’m not.

K as in Keisha in Da House

I’m plugging on with the Blogging From A to Z Challenge. Today’s blog is brought to you by the letter K as in Keisha. An artist drawed me last weekend. Thomas Dalsgaard Clausen is working on a project called One Drawing Daily where his goal is to do one drawing a day for at least two years. What do you think of the Drawing of a Cat Called Keisha in India Ink?

Some have axed me how I got the name Keisha and I’m gonna answer that now. When the peeps adopted me, the lady from CAP where I was being jailed begged them to change my name. The peeps tried a new name out on me every week. Finally they settled on Cathy Keisha. Cathy was Gramma’s favorite name for a girl and Keisha paid homage to my ghetto roots. You know I’m a pretty kitty from the inner city as my rap goes.
