Run Free Dear Furrends

Chica                                             Au                                             Brutus

As you know, I'm part of two online anipal communities: The Twitter Anipals and the Cat Blogosphere. This is both a blessing and a curse. The blessing being that both communities are loving and supportive. I—and others—can always count on their support and kind words when we need them. Each will go out of their way to help a friend in need or to mourn with a friend, which brings me to the curse part. Last weekend, I lost furrends in each community. Beautiful 22-year-old Chica of Cats of Wildcat Woods and handsome Au of Katz Tales of the CB went to the Rainbow Bridge; as did Twitter anipal captain of sekurity Brutus the Dane. Brutus was just featured in my post about the TV show Who Let the Dogs Out. He was also bass player for the Shibbering Cheetos virtual rock band. Our condolences to Moms Ellen, Cheryl and Heather and the rest of their families. Run free dear furrends. I know Brutus will safety escort Chica and Au cos he was that kind of gentleman.

I am sorry to hear about your friends CK. My mommy used to breed Great Danes so I grew up around them and love them. She also bred dachshunds.

My mother was weird.

I met Brutus nose to nose at #blogpaws. For a big doggy, he was furry gentle. I liked him right away. I'm so sad for Heather that Brutus had to go OTRB. I'm gonna miss him.

It seems we lose furriends in batches, and it's so sad. The head peep gets leaky eyes to know that so many families will be missing their furry friends tonight. Now she will want to HUG us. The indignity! Many headbumps and purrs to all of the families who are facing these losses.

Hi CK! I might take you up on your offer to visit. The Human's down with a 102+ temp and feeling miserable. When she's like this, she's all but useless.

We love the CB and how supportive everyone is to each other. We always get sad when a kitty friend leaves for the Rainbow Bridge. We sent hugs and purrs to those who have lost their sweet companions.

There's so much joy in being a pet blogger and meeting such wonderful friends. But the sadness and tears come to visit, too. It is our real world, full of love and caring.

You tagged it right CK; a blessing and a curse to be a part of these two paw blog/twitter communities. We spend many days crying over lost furriends. While I did not know Brutus, he is a handsome Dane. I did know his Twitter handle and that he was Sekurity. dropping a humble head to chest...purrrrs
