Blogging From A to Z: X is for …

Hola kitties! I'm participating in the Blogging A to Z Challenge! I've been sharing some of the crazy stuff I've been axed to pose with during my 10 years of blogging. This is the most recent thing I posed with. No cat was harmed during the taking of these photos but a human may have been harmed. I was never put in any danger or made to do anything that would hurt me. Most of these image have never been posted before. My likeness was not photoshopped into any of the pics during this challenge. Today's letter is X.

Blogging From A to Z: X is for …

X is for x-ray. Right before Verona Virus changed everybuddy's life, Pop had a little accident and broke a bone in his hand. The 4th metacarpus or something. He had to go for x-rays and wore a brace on that hand for weeks. OK, I'll tell you. He tried to let someone pass on the sidewalk and fell over a planter. It got him out of a lot of housework. On the other paw, it made it almost impossible to wash his hands a hunnert times a day properly as was recommended by the CDC and everybuddy else.

In a few of these pics, I'm actually studying the x-rays. This is the only photo shoot that was taken expressly for this challenge. If TW not been so lazy we might have gotten another post outta these.

Thank Bast Pop no longer wears the brace. Being high-risk, he never went back to the doctor since that would have required a bus trip into Manhattan to sit in a waiting room filled with possibly infected people. That was back when no one wore a mask. We thought it was safer if he didn't since he could infect us all. Yes, humans can infect cats. I have asthma which is a pre-existing condition.

I can see the finish line! What do you think I'll be posing with for the letter Y?

Would you like to comment?

  1. X-ray was the first thing I thought of yesterday, but I thought you would never have one of them around so changed to xylophone.
I am glad your Pop's hand is all healed now.
It was very wise not to go back to the doctor. I was very worried when I had to go to the hospital last month for an MRI scan. I breathed a huge sigh of relief after 2 weeks that I had not picked up the virus there and had no symptoms.

  2. I broke my 4th metacarpal too, as well as my 5th two years ago.
Thank goodness neither of us had to have surgery to repair them (I did get pinned, however).
Looking at xrays is fascinating; I'm not in the health field by any means, so I don't get to see them often...and wished I hadn't two years ago either.

  3. I'm glad that Pop's hand is better. How much do you charge for a consulting fee? I just need a note for my work so I can sit down when I am on the register. 😹

  6. I guess Pops learned that being a gentleman can be hazardous to his health. Glad the break didn't require another trip to the doctors. There are way too many germy hoomons in them hospitals. Purrs!

  9. Ouch. Hopefully your pop's broken hand didn't prevent him from petting you. Better yet, petting you would be great therapy. I'm glad he didn't have to visit the doctor again and risk being exposed to nasty germs.

  10. So glad your Pop didn't have to go back to the doctor. You have to wonder how many people aren't going when they really should be out of fear.
