Blogging From A to Z: V is for …

Hola kitties! I'm participating in the Blogging A to Z Challenge! During my 10 years of blogging, I've been axed to pose with some crazy stuff. For this challenge, I'm sharing some of those pics. No cat was harmed during the taking of these photos but a human may have been maimed. I was never put in any danger or made to do anything that would hurt me. Most of these image have never been posted before. My likeness was not photoshopped into any of the pics during this challenge. Today's letter is V.

Blogging From A to Z: V is for …

V is for vacuum. Otherwise known as the evil v.c. I wasn't so much posing with it as I was checking it out. TW decided to go with the flow and start snapping away.

Blogging From A to Z: V is for …

We've had about three different vacuums in the condo since I've been here. Pop uses our canister but TW always wanted an upright so he bought this model. Recently—I'd say over the past few months—I've started hissing at it whenever TW takes it out. It might be a couple of feet away from me but I hiss anyhoo even if it's not turned on. It's my public enemy number one. I won't back away; I just hiss so it knows who's boss.

What do you think I'll be posing with for the letter W?

Blogging From A to Z: V is for …

I promised something different this week for my art. I tried this two different ways. First I created some digital art.

Blogging From A to Z: V is for …

Then I got out my oil paints and painted over the digital art. As Grampa would say, I gussied it up. Which do you like the best? I made a puzzle out of one of them.

These will be my entries in the pawsome weekly Caturday Art Blog Hop. Thanks to Athena and Marie for hosting. Even if you don't have my artistic talent, you can participate by using an online editor or template.

  1. I thought you might choose vacuum for V!
I like both versions but slightly prefer the texture in the second one.

  2. I HATE vacuums. They're way too loud.

  3. We hate vacuums, even if Claire did her best to find the most silent vacuum she could. We're not as brave as you, we run away when we see it. Since a few months, Pixie is getting braver, though : she dares to stay in the same room while Claire is vacuuming. Purrs

  4. We like both versions, though the one with more texture is a little better. Just a little. As for the vacuum- I've gotten used to our old Sears that dad's had for about a hundred years. What I don't like, though, is when the smoke detector goes off (most often by the toaster, believe it or not). It makes me run and hide under the bed. Stay safe and have a great weekend!

  5. Good idea to keep that vac in line- they tend to eat cat toys. I love your art, especially the oil painting one. Thank you for the puzzle, my mom thanks you too as I have her addicted now. I guess waffles for W. XO

  6. We enjoyed the wonderful pieces of artwork that you shared. The vacuum around here has one cat hide until it's over and the other just sits there and watches when it's on. Thanks for sharing. Have a great rest of your weekend.

  7. CK you are funny that you hiss at the vacuum! I just stare at it and then I leave the room. Well, if it were me and I was posting the letter "W", I would mention my Wellness cat food. I eat wet Wellness and dry Nutrish (oh and I eat wet Tiki Cat too!) Love, Cody

  8. Cool artwork. We don't like the Sucky Monster.

    Thanks for the puzzle!

  9. Both artworks look great!

I stare at the vacuum cleaner but if it gets too close I make sure I get of its way!

  10. Mudpie runs and hides from our vac! Not sure how she thinks she's going to get sucked up inside...MOL

  11. We would run the other way if we saw the rug sucking monster come out.

  12. Both of your artworks are great, CK. As for the vacuum, Ava is not a fan, but Gracie does not give a care about it. I guess when you're almost 20, you don't sweat stuff.

  13. This human doesn't much like the vacuum either. MOL

  15. If the housekeeper pulls out the vacuum, Bridget and I get as far away from it as we can and that means the attic! W? I don't know? Maybe window and spy on other kitties? - Tom x

  16. Both artworks are beautiful, CK and a puzzle too...woohoo...I don't like vacuums either, but a few days ago, I had to chose to come in, while the vacuum was on, or to stay out, where the lawn mover was on...easy choise, I got in...MOL😸Clean Pawkisses for a Happy Monday.
