Blogging From A to Z: U is for …

Hola kitties! I'm participating in the Blogging A to Z Challenge! During my 10 years of blogging, I've been axed to pose with some crazy stuff. No cat was harmed during the taking of these photos but a human may have been harmed. I was never put in any danger or made to do anything that would hurt me. Most of these image have never been posted before. My likeness was not photoshopped into any of the pics during this challenge. Today's letter is U.

U is for umbrella. TW has a really nice, old (just like her) Totes cat pattern umbrella so what does she pose me with? This flowery one.

OK, so I jumped into the tub with it while she was drying it out. She took dozens of photos. Closeups, not-so-closeups, etc.

And, ok, I did use these images in a post back in 2015 but what other U objects could I have used?

BREAKING NEWS: Right before we went to press TW found a pic of me from 2014 with the cat umbrella. She had it in the miscellaneous non-cat folder. Can you believe that? Well, actually I can believe anything when it comes to TW.

What do you think I'll be posing with for the letter V?

Today we'd normal be posting our Pet Photo Fails but these are prolly the best photos we've posted all month. We did find one fail when I got tired of sitting there about 40 pics after we started. The Pet Photo Fails blog hop was created by Roby Sweet and is now graciously hosted by Mudpie and Melissa over at Melissa's Mochas, Mysteries and Meows. Please link up your photo fails on her page so we can all get a laugh out of them.

Now it's time to join the Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They're both participating in the A to Z Challenge too. They come up with the fill-ins and my answers are underlined and in italics. Any further comments are in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. Today it applies to number two. WARNING: these fill-ins are a bit political in nature so you might not wish to read until the end.

1. If I couldn't live in my country, I would live in California. Hey, I bet the POTUS doesn't know it's part of the U.S. of A. either so don't laugh. I have lots of furrends in CA like Summer, Spitty, Savannah, and Angel Buzz Lucas lived there. They have a cool governor and stuff. Almost as cool as Gov. Cuomo.

2. I wish I had kept my first "mauve thing" cat bed from my childhood. Yes, my "mauve thing" is indeed blue. Don't ax. Unfortunately it fell apart and the peeps threw it out. I hope they don't throw my igloo out cos it's getting a bit ratty.

3. I would choose life over freedom. All I see on my FB feed are COVIDIOTS who want to see the states opened up, not caring about how many lives would be lost. I only have two peeps and they're old and I kinda want to keep them. I don't want them to die of this Crony business. Yeah, the economy is tanking NOW and my peeps are affected too but Pop read me an article on Fortune.com which said social distancing will create $8 trillion in economic benefits for the U.S. (If you have to register to read the article, use a fake name and email. I did.)

Some humans don't realize that the more humans that die of crony virus, the more cats who are orphaned and thrown out into the streets or PTS because shelters and fosters are mostly full. Also fewer humans means fewer potential cat adopters and fosters. Cats will suffer if humans rush to open everything up.

4. What we think doesn't matter in the long run. That's what the peeps say. The humans in government will do what they want regardless of what their constituents want. They better listen to this little ghetto kitteh. There could be far-reaching and painful consequences.

Would you like to comment?

  1. I love the cat umbrella the way the eyes stand out.
I agree, too many places are wanting to open up too soon. I think it is a big mistake and we will all end up back at square one.
People need patience to properly get the virus under control. Most people are following the rules here, but you always get some who think they are invincible and they don't apply to them.

  4. YAY! I finally guessed correctly. Those are nice umbrellas. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I am completely with you on #3. I don't mind a loss of freedom in order to save lives. I love Governor Cuomo, I hope he ends up as president someday. Have a nice weekend! I guess a Valentine's heart for V. XO

  13. CK, I'm going to show Toby your umbrella modeling sessions. He's afraid of umbrellas and I'm hoping you can convince him they're not all that scary. He's also afraid of the sound of keys rattling. Is there a chance you can convince him those aren't so bad? And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! It sure will be nice when this virus officially takes a hike. And your peeps better not take your igloo. If they do, we're sure your teeth will teach them a lesson, CK. Purrs!
