Blogging From A to Z: R is for …

Hola kitties! I'm participating in the Blogging A to Z Challenge! During my 10 years of blogging, I've been axed to pose with some crazy stuff. This month I've been sharing some of these sessions. No cat was harmed during the taking of these photos but a human may have been harmed. I was never put in any danger or made to do anything that would hurt me. Most of these image have never been posted before. My likeness was not photoshopped into any of the pics during this challenge. Today's letter is R.

Blogging From A to Z: R is for …

R is for record. I'm a few days late since last Saturday was National Record Store Day but you can't rush the alphabet. The peeps have thousands of records and I've had to pose with records hunnerts of times. Besides all these big albums, they have three shelves of little 45 rpm disks that you never see. Whenever we're doing some stupid themed challenge or a music post, out comes the records. I've posed with the whole shebang (above) and individual records: rock, pop, alternative, country and oldies. HAH! Well now they're all oldies, aren't they?

I'm stepping all over the P-Furs, one of TW's fave bands. To be technical, these are record jackets or sleeves, not records. There were plenty more record jackets that I was forced to pretend to pose with. It's safe the say that all the record stores these were purchased in are now gone and the peeps haven't bought records in at least a decade. Why buy when everything is on youtube?

Now this is a record—an ancient Elbow Parsley, er, Elvis Presley record. I'll bet most of my furrends have never seen anything that looks like this. TW coulda used this for V as in vinyl. I hope we have something to use.

I think TW shoulda used my photo shoot with the raffle tickets or the rabbit. Don't you? What do you think I'll be posing with for the letter S?

  1. My human wishes she still had all her vinyl, but in the early 1990s, she was living with a junkie that sold most of them. She only managed to save maybe thirty or so. At least they are some good ones, like Devo, and George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass" (one of the junkie's friends talked him out of selling that one).

  2. TW has a very big record collection. I remember the 45s where you had to put the insert (spider I think) in the middle!

  4. I was so close- I guessed record player. We are old, we have lots of albums and 45's. They are all in the spare room upstairs in storage though. My guess for S is salad. :) XO

  7. Mum no longer has a record player but she has kept most of her vinyl records and some of her late dad's collection. Hers is mostly from the 80s and Granddad' s from the 50s and 60s. They are up in our loft now.

  12. The P-Furs -- yeah! Our humans liked them back in the day, too. And they both remember those 45s with the big hole in the middle. :)
