Blogging From A to Z: D is for …

Hola kitties! I'm participating in the Blogging A to Z Challenge! During my 10 years of blogging, I've been axed to pose with some crazy stuff so all this month I'll be sharing pics of those crazy photo sessions. No cat was harmed during the taking of these photos but a human may have been harmed. I was never put in any danger or made to do anything that would hurt me. Most of these image have never been posted before. My likeness was not photoshopped into any of the pics during this challenge. Today's letter is D.

Blogging From A to Z: D is for …

D is for diet soda. Neither of the peeps drink soda and I don't either but when these new flavors of diet Coke came out, TW had to try them. She wanted to find out why they got panned in the papers. Pop was able to score some free samples back in February 2018 and two of them are still taking up real estate in our refrigerator. TW tried them and had to agree with the critics. Blah!

Cats should not drink soda cos it contains high levels of sugar, sweeteners and caffeine. Humans shouldn't drink sweet soda either for that matter although cats are smart enough to avoid it. Caffeine has been known to cause seizures in cats. We can pose with it though.

I told TW this should have been under C but she wouldn't listen. I've actually posed with many other more appropriate items starting with D including my duckie. What do you think I'll be posing with for the letter E?

Would you like to comment?

  1. I think you had the better idea, posing with your duckie, CK.

  2. When I was much younger I used to drink diet Coke, but then realised it was all chemicals so changed to water. I always drink tap water which I run through a filter first. Our water is very good quality but the filter gets rid of any chlorine taste or smell.
Your Ducky would have been a much better choice for D!

  3. I don't even remember them coming out with flavors. I drink plain old water or coffee. Cute photo though. For E I am guessing some sort of an elephant like a stuffed one :) XO

  4. Our mom does not like coffee so drinks Diet Coke, which she knows is very bad for her and her bones, but she has to get that caffeine from somewhere. She never tried any of those flavored ones...they sounded terrible. They did make for a nice colorful photo however. 5. Mom enjoys more Diet Coke than she probably should. We heard those new flavors were for the younger peeps who want new and inventive flavor combinations.

  6. I love your photo cutie, the sodas are colorful, but kinda boring when you have CK to look at.

  7. The mom and dad are Diet Pepsi fans...so no Coke here.

  9. Fortunately, I gave up diet soda a while back so missed the entire flavored cokes. Sounds like I didn't miss much and your cat seems to agree. Weekends In Maine

  10. I don't remember ever seeing those! I'm not a soda drinker either, just the occasional Moxie during the summer. It's a New England thing :)

  11. Well, diet cola is better than a diet for kitties!

  12. Yeah, we thing your duckie would have been better, CK. Those flavors don't sound very good to our humans. But they are not big soda drinkers, anyway. We hope you, TW and Pop are staying safe and healthy. XO

  13. Cute cat ;) Pretty cans too, colorful, but I'm a tea drinker rather than soda ;D

  14. Huh, I didn't know that they came out with new flavors!
We gave up soda many, many years ago.

  15. I tried some orange vanilla coke last week and thought it was gross. Never tried any of these. Guess I'm glad I didn't!
