You’re Not Gonna Believe What I Just Saw!

Whoa! Did you see that? I did cos I’m the Cat on Patrol.

I never know what I'll see when I look out our windows at night. I love to look out for three reasons.
  1. I can hide from TW.
  2. I can rattle the blinds and annoy the peeps.
  3. I can see for miles and miles.
Yo! I know you’re out there!
The other night there was a collision on the tunnel helix. A bus and truck were involved and there were no serious injuries. I didn’t see the accident but saw the ambulances racing along the helix. It was exciting. One time I heard the shattering glass and crunching metal when a car overturned. Another time, I actually saw a truck burning and a million fire engines around it! I can also see my neighbors on their terraces and in their windows. Heh heh.

When Nicky was still here a guy got blown on the street below us. The explosion shook the condo and the peeps’ nerves. Nicky jumped two feet straight up. They saw a wall of flames when they looked out the window. TW yelled at Pop to call 911. Turns out some guy got into his car with a leaking propane tank and lit a cigarette. BOOOM! Nicky said the most horrific part was they heard the guy’s bloodcurdling screams before he met his maker. It wasn’t at all funny.

Do you know the FBI is watching me? Yeah, cos we’re so close to NYC they want to make sure I’m not hatching some evil plot. I can assure them I’m only a cat and only humans can be evil.

I never know what I’ll see but it’s all good cos TW can’t find me. I don’t have to worry about the flashy box.

What the Hell-o Kitty are you looking at, Woman!

What’s the most inneresting thing you’ve seen from your window?

Would you like to comment?

  1. You see a LOT more exciting things than I do, CK! We live in a house on a hillside and I don't even have a good view of the freeway. We do get some interesting critters at night - my human can't see them, but I do!

  2. I am speechless CK!! The most I see, inside or out, is The Staff getting dressed in the morning and to be honest that's getting a bit too scary for me these days!

  3. There's sure a lot going on outside your window. We didn't realize you could see the tunnel helix from your window. There must be a lot going on there day and night to watch.

  4. I'll bet you really have a good view CK and it's hard to tell what you might see!

    ReplyDelete
  5. Wow, that sounds like scary stuff, CK! All I see is birds and deer - and an occasional community cat.

    ReplyDelete
  6. wow you see a lot. I only see people walking by the house, squirrels, rabbits and birds. You might think its exciting but it isn't. Only exciting thing that happens is when that man comes to our porch and touches our mailbox. One of these days Scooby will eat through that glass and eat him alive (only if he has teeth left)

  7. CK, you see MUCH more interesting things from your window than I ever do. Wow - can you see the Lincon Tunnel helix from your condo? That is so awesome. At least Mom says so, I don't know what she means by it.

Here I see a hummer, and she sees me too - stares at me. And some chippies and squirrels and more birdies and some unvishus deers. Pretty dull stuff compares to your crashes and explosions and sirens and all.

  8. Wow - you can see a lot of action from your window!

  9. CK, you would like looking out our window! There are ambulances here at least once a day to take someone to the hospital (our building has all elderly and/or disabled people in it). We've seen a big car crash and we see lots of funny people walking by every weekend when they are walking to their cars or the bus from the bars.

We are so glad that nobody was seriously hurt in the accident you saw. That must have been scary for the people in it, though.

  10. That must be a great spot to see the world from! It sounds like you live in a really busy area. I live in the back of a huge apartment complex. All we can see out our bedroom window is the parking lot and some trees. The trees do seem pretty suspicious though.

  11. I hide behind the curtains too! Before the Human figured it out, it was foolproof.

Oh, and it wasn't The Human that said, Oh, s%$! at the start of the little movie. The Human said the thing about 40 days and 40 nights while someone else was babbling on. Not that the Human doesn't *say* Oh s%$! all the time, of course.

  12. Gosh, you have an exciting view. All I see are a couple of squirrels, chipmunks, and some kids going by on bikes!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Whoa, you win at window excitement! We just like to rattle the blinds to annoy the peeps.

    ReplyDelete
  14. We see these little lights at night. We live next to a wooded area and it's fireflies. THEY illuminate it's cool! My goodness we sure don't have the excitement you see out of your window.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I guess you do see a lot. That must have been awful for the peeps to hear the man screaming that got blown up. You are correct, only humans do evil things.

    ReplyDelete
  16. In the back we see birds and bunnies. Sometimes we have an intruder kitty and then we have to chase him off. Out front there's pretty good bird tv, but mostly we get to see cars, kids playing, people walking dogs. Nothing exciting like you see.

  17. That's a lot of action ! You have a great watching spot ! Purrs

  20. C.K., you need to develop a way to keep those blinds from separating. We cannot imagine seeing and hearing all those accidents. Mom doesn't like sudden noises and gets all nervous. Thanks so much for joining our blog hop again this week. Please join us tomorrow for our 3rd blogoversary. We are giving away lots of prizes. 26. Whoa, you've seen a lot from that window! It must have been really scary to see the propane leak accident. We are not facing street, but there are fire station nearby. So sometimes we hear ambulances.
You are right, and cats never do evil things!

  27. Wow! your window is better than our window! Though when wes was in Calgary the window snooping was excellent. Midway, NOTHING happens here!

  28. Wow, CK. Never a dull moment in your neighborhood.

  29. We don't get that much excitement here because our windows face the back of the building. We get to watch the dog next door and people having a BBQ. And of course there are the squirrels. Hey! Mommy "took the tunnel" last night... did you see her drive by?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Your window to the world is WAY more exciting than ours, CK!

  31. We look out at a suburban park and see lots of kids and peeps walking, riding bikes, running, on skateboards, and even once a human who had no home and bathed only once a year who tried to live in the park in a tent until the police and park officials tossed him out. It was a good thing because he had what our human calls naughty, gross 'toys' he liked to play with in the tent! When there are children nearby everyday! She says he was not good, rude, and pooped in the grass like woofies even when there is a human litter box available in the park! What a crazy existence these humans have!
We love your hidey spot, TW needs to learn a bit of restraint with the flashy box or you will have to punish her.

  33. You've sure got a LOT going on outside your window, CK!
We mostly have birds, squirrels, the occasional neighbor dog and out the back window we have a train track. The train is pretty loud, but we're all used to it now. Except when the horn blows. That makes all of us jump!
