Today is the Caturday Art Blog Hop. Stay tuned for some fine art from The Cat after #52Snapshots. |
This week’s photo challenge theme is Water. This should be an easy theme but y’all know that CK and water mix like oil and water. First the peeps broke my favorite hand-me-down water dish and then they decided it would be a good idea to add dental crap to my water. Two minus two equals zero and that’s how much water I drank for the next few years.
A very rare picture from the archives. |
They bought a fountain but I refused to go near it. It was loud and it splashed all over. Again two minus two equals zero and that’s how much water I drank from that fountain. I told TW I would drink outta a 360 fountain so she spent a lot of green papers on it. I didn’t touch it for months; at least when the peeps were around. One morning when I thought Pop was sleeping, I started slurping. He saw me. The jig was up.
Today’s snapshots come from a blog I did early last year. TW read about RoboFish on another blog and finally tracked one down for me. I think she was more entertained than I was. The powers that be kept shutting off our water for repairs. Each time TW had to fill the tub for an emergency so she stuck the RoboFish in there and I have to admit I was intrigued although I may have been more innerested in a rogue piece of toilet paper that was floating around. MOL!
Oooh, lookit the toilet paper! |
Thanks to Christina and The Lazy Pit Bull for hosting the 52 Snapshots of Life photo challenge this week and every week throughout 2015. For those who would like to participate, next week’s theme is Snuggly. (What the hell kind of word is snuggly? Is it even a word? Spellcheck sez no.)
Hooray for good art! BTW, that IS my good art in the lead image today. I made it when I used to use Paint for Cats in the ipawd. But, I digress. Back to my digital art. I’m tempted to use the one I used back in May of last year when Water was the theme. Nah! Instead of reflecting water, I’m gonna use water droplets. We were gonna do a water color of my image sitting upon a mountain of water bottle cases but decided the fresco filter looked better. The Cat gets what she wants.
What do you think the title of todays post means? I’m not going there.
Truffle used to play in the water, but avoids it like the plague now. However, we do drink from our fountains, but only the ones we like.
ReplyDeleteFor a kitty who doesn't like water, you managed to fit a lot of it in!
ReplyDeleteThat fish looks fascinating. I might jump in after it. Eric definitely would have. I like your water droplets effect.
ReplyDeleteWatch that water CK, it can be darn sneaky!
ReplyDeleteWe stay as far away from water as we can! So we're with you CK!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great effect!

Great pieces of art CK. i especially like the bottom one where the water ripples. That is cool. Sorry you don't like your fountain. I love mine, but the peeps have to put fresh water in it every day. They don't clean it every day, just take cold water from the fridge and pour some in the fountain bowl and I'm happy.
ReplyDeleteCK this post was sooo super cool! don't feel bad, Cody doesn't particularly love fountains (I have tried a few and gave up), either. He would occasionally drink out of it but he prefers Dakota's bowl! lol. I LOVE the bowl you have for CK!
ReplyDeleteWe love to play with Robo fishes in water ! You chose a very cool effect for your artwork. Purrs
ReplyDeleteOur human is the absolute pits. Never. We say, never, has she given us a fountain to snub. Purrs from the Zee/Zoey kitties.
ReplyDeleteYour artwork is SO cool...and you are one cute graffiti artist ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the picture CK. You are a cat like me I can tell. Mom bought a fountain for us too. So, when I heard you wouldn't drink outta yours either...I laughed. MOL They are darned noisy and ther eis water coming down all the time...no break. Kali liked it and drank out of it...so I was happy after 4 days mom took it back to the noisy fountain place.

C.K, both your art and TW's are terrific. We are really bummed out 'cause we all LOVE our 360 fountain but the motor has burned out. The lazy humans have not ordered another one. Maybe this post will get the female off her butt. Hope you can join us tomorrow for our Sunday Selfies Blog Hop. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteWe think that fish in the water is really cool. We would love to play with it.
ReplyDeleteAh yes robofish! We love it very much :-) I wonder how that piece of toilet paper got in the tub. Hahaha.
ReplyDeleteLove your water image. So cool!
Most kitties are not real fond of water CK - I can't say I blame you.
ReplyDeleteVery creative !
ReplyDeleteOh my, a RoboFish... going to find me one! Looks like a fun blog hop. I may join in the next theme if Mom can catch me doing the snuggly. Thanks for stopping by my Mom's blog and sharing. We do look alike! Your sister from another mother, Katie (Great blog!)
ReplyDeleteWater fun, we would be fascinated by the fishie!

I have a fountain where the water slides down a little ramp. I like it because it's quiet and it doesn't splash.
ReplyDeleteIt's so hot here we want to jump into a tub of robo-fish!

ReplyDeleteMOL, we refuse to drink out of the ceramic fountain unless it is completely full up, it drives the parents crazy. ~Socks & Scylla
ReplyDeleteNice one, CK. That ripply-effect artwork is Da Bomb!
ReplyDeleteMoosey and Zoe are kind of fascinated by water. Gracie not so much.
Our Samantha really likes water and I bet she would have fun with that Robo-fish! I often wonder if she would actually go in a tub full of water, but I haven't tried it yet...that would be a good way to see if she would. Oh, maybe I could just use a piece of toilet paper too though, huh? :)
