My nip plant in happier times. |
Recently some of my furrends have been complaining on how their humans haven’t been keeping up their nip plants. Then they proceed to show photos of happy, healthy nip plants that make the plant in the above photo look pathetic.
If you guys wanna see what my pathetic nip plant looks like today, I’m gonna show you. It ain’t pretty. In fact, some of you may get physically sick. It’s not for the weak of heart.
Is this not a crime against nature? Is this not a crime against The Cat? Kittehs of the jury, shouldn’t some human be held accountable for this poor sickly nip plant.
Although, if you look closely, you’ll see some new shoots starting to come out. I’ve seen these before but TW always has a way to kill them. I’m not holding my breath that anything is gonna come of this.
Should The Cat be optimistic about this turn of events? I’m not so sure. OR, should The Cat ax—not so politely—for a new nip plant?
Consider yourself lucky - I don't even got a nip plant. I gotta eat ferns instead.
ReplyDeleteMy outdoor nip plant looks pretty pathetic this year too. :-(
ReplyDeleteNip Plant????
ReplyDeleteI'm not familiar with the concept.
Glogirly can't even grow plastic plants.
Those little leaves look nommable to me! Get crackin' & snackin', Girly!
ReplyDeleteBOL BOL CK it does look kind of pathetic. Think your peeps need some green fingers. Have a marvellous Monday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
I thought nip came in those stupid dumb nana things which we are supposed to bunny kick so the humans go "Awww!" You mean it grows in mud?
ReplyDeleteGive that nip an honorable end of life : nom those little leaves, have fun, and ask your mom for a new healthy nip plant ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteMy nip plant looks very pathetic, too. But my motivation to keep it lush gets low when my boys show no interest in it..haha.
ReplyDeleteI see new shotts coming out. I hope they get to grow and make you happy :-)
There's no need for a nip plant around here because Truffles isn't nutty about nip :)
ReplyDeleteBut even if she was there would be a problem...I have dried flowers around the house because they're already dead ;)
Well CK, that plant looks like it's struggling alright BUT I say "where there's green, there's hope".....little shoots coming up is a sign that the plant is refusing to go quickly and without a fight. I'll be cheering for it!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sammy
We don't even have a nip plant. Mommy doesn't trust Princeton around dirt. MOL!
ReplyDeleteOoops. We have to say that even OUR sad looking nip plant looks a little better than that. ;) Might be time to get a new nip plant. Heehee.
ReplyDeleteThis is why we have the male person. He grows things. I kill them...
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about everyones nip!!
ReplyDeleteღ husky hugz ღ frum our pack at Love is being owned by a husky!
Mario here: Gasp! That is inhumane! but at least TW got you one of those pathetic little green thingies! he he - my peeps have a garden outside and still haven't gotten me any real nip - just something called cat mint (which is okay, but the real thing would be better.)
ReplyDeleteYour nip plant is in better shape than mine CK since we don't have one at all!
ReplyDeleteck...we say eat that fresh leaf N ask for mor ...ore... dry that fresh leaf then.... sell it...itz lee gul ta due sew now !! ☺☺☺☺☺

Looks like TW has one of them brown thumbs. That plant has had it. These eight members of the jury say a new, healthy plant is in order. XO, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteyou need a new nip plant. My Mom did the same thing a few years ago and that was the end of it!
ReplyDeleteOh... those young tender leaves are the delicious ones, Tommie says go snack on 'em before they're dead.
ReplyDeletexxoo
Oh wow, CK. That is pitiful. You definitely need a new nip plant.
ReplyDeleteWe're lucky...the mom has done pretty good with ours this year, though she doesn't give us nearly as much fresh nip as she should.
We don't even have ferns. We are plant-underprivileged.
ReplyDeleteYou know, honestly, if the Human had got herself tossed in the slammer for her movie-making, who'd be feeding ME I ask you????
ReplyDeleteWhat? Nip comes from a plant? WE just get some dried stuff (which we love), but we had no idea where it comes from...
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Moosey, Gracie and Zoe
NEW PLANT!!
ReplyDeleteLike the flag stuck in there is supposed to make this all better?
We thinks you should demand a new nip plant! And we should demand a nip plant from our Mom, too, cause we has none, MOL!
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky! Kitties over here can't have any plants. Not even a fake eucalyptus plant after Alice tried to munch on it.
ReplyDeleteYep, that plant is lookin' a bit sad...purrhaps a new one is in order...
ReplyDeleteIf your TW is anyway neer how bad my mom-person handle plants I wouldn´t hold my breath either *mol*
