Hold the Onions
Luncheon meat is something that never makes an appearance in La Casa Keisha. I wouldn't mind it if it did but the peeps think we're healthier without it. In that same vein, TW never brings lunch home. She's rather eat out by herself than bring something home that she thinks I might enjoy. Taking both of those factors into consideration, I was surprised and delighted when TW brought lunch home the other day. This was no ordinary lunch; this was a legendary BLIMPIE! TW's lunch usually consists of either yogurt or a bagel with fake butter. This was spectacular. It was turkey luncheon meat! I immediately jumped on the table to partake. Unfortunately, the sandwich was covered with onion and oil and vinegar and little round black things that kept falling out, but at least it didn't have cheese. TW found a section with some meat that didn't have that stuff on it for me. A great time was had by all with the exception that TW smelled like a freaking onion all day. Yuck! I didn't even want to get close enough to bite her.

Oh, we loooooove lunch meat! Any time there's a sandwich around, Newton has to poke his big orange nose up to see if he can steal some. It sounds like TW may have found a way to both make you happy with a treat and keep your biteys away. CK, does TW finally have your number?

ReplyDeleteWell!! Isn't that something! The onion breath from TW notwithstanding, what an incredible day for you!! Our human brings home this kind of sometimes, but very rarely do we find anything on it that we enjoy because she typically gets a veggie sub. Sometimes she will bring home roasted chicken from the deli and we refuse to eat it, which is kind of scary when you think about it... what are they putting into that chicken that would cause a kitty to put its nose up at it?

Ck you are lucky Mom does not think I should eat any human food as she does not want tummy aches so she never shares even with onions it looks yummy.

What a pawsome treat! I think you HAVE misjudged TW. ...though the onions were an unfortunate oversight.

That was pretty nice of TW to bring that home for herself, uh YOU. But honestly, CK, don't you find it just the eensiest bit suspicious that suddenly she came home with that? I mean, what's going on, really? Are they going to adopt some permanent Balsam and send your ToP back??
