I Am Not a Skunk is the second children's book (ages 3-8) written by Ellen J. Pilch and published by Mirror Publishing. Ellen is staff and writer of one of our favorite blogs, 15 and Meowing, in which Emmy plays a starring role. The book is illustrated by Nicolas Peruzzo. This story is a fictionalized version of how Emmy found herself living in her forever castle with Ellen and family.
TW read it to me the day she received the book and then she let me look at the adorable pictures. Being a tuxie myself, I was quite perturbed that someone could mistake Emmy for a skunk but Uncle David did. Sara and Auntie came up with a plan to convince him Emmy was a cat and not a skunk. Did it work? I'm not gonna tell you.
I Am Not a Skunk is available in Kindle form or in paperback on Amazon. You can also order it on Barnes & Nobles. It will appeal to both young and older cat-loving humans.
BREAKING! Miss Ellen is hosting a giveaway on Amazon for my readers which will be open for a week. Good luck to those entering.
Disclaimer: I received a free (autographed!!) copy of the book with no strings attached. There are NO affiliate links in this post.
It sounds like another lovely book from Miss Ellen. I love the cover illustration of Emmy sniffing her armpit!

ReplyDeleteThat looks like an adorable book! Funny story, one time when my human was taking me for a walk (without her glasses on) she saw what she thought was a stray cat ...we walked towards it to see if it needed help and guess what, it wasn't a cat, it was a skunk. We then backed slowly away and luckily didn't get sprayed.
