Feral Friday Fiesta of Fails

Hola kitties! I have the illiteration going today. It's time for another Pet Photo Fails. TW and a camera is a blooper waiting to happen. Blooper may be her middle name. I thought since we aren't doing reviews that TW and her flashy box would leave me alone. I guessed that would mean no new photos of me. At least that's what I thought.

Feral Friday Fiesta of Fails

I was wrong. There were seven days of multiple sessions when every time I looked up, there was a flashy box in my face. I sifted through each photo shoot and it was hard to pick the worst one from each set. In fact, the lead image contains pics other than those in this post. I shook my head at all the terrible dark and out-of-focus shots from this month and finally settled on four of them. I'm gonna try to keep this short so I'll just tell you in a few words why I think it's a fail. You tell me if you agree.

Feral Friday Fiesta of Fails

1. Composition. Where is my stunning face and head? There were plenty more like this. After I came in from the window whiffies, there were lots of out of focus shots on the Tree of Pain. Pastures of plenty.

2. Motion blur. Here's one of those shots I mentioned above. TW claims it's motion blur cos I moved my head. I'm alive, Woman!  I'm not buying it since none of the not alive objects are in focus neither. Plus, it's too dark.

3. Focusing on wrong subject. Apparently TW must have been trying to photograph that green crow's nest and I got in the way. Oopsie! This was a different shoot than the two above although I'm on the Tree of Pain.

4. Wrong lens setting. TW was using the super mackerel setting but not holding the camera steady and was not far away from me. At least I think that's what happened. It's not my fault. I'm just smelling IKEA shmousie. Nothing is really sharp.

5. What the —?? Contrary to popular belief, I did NOT bat the camera outta TW's grubby paw. This is her doing. She clicked the button at the wrong time just as I decided to do some grooming so I look extra stunning for this review we've yet to do. I guess you could say it was bad timing on her part.

I decided not the use the photo with the choco bunny since at first I thought the bunny was in focus and not the stunning cat. Upon further review, we're both out of focus.

These are part of the Pet Photo Fails blog hop which was created by Roby Sweet and is now graciously hosted by Mudpie and Melissa over at Melissa's Mochas, Mysteries and Meows. Please link up your photo fails so we can all get a laugh out of them.

We're gonna go head now into the Friendly Fill-Ins already in progress. HAH, It's a feature held once a week at this time. Let's meet our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are underlined and in italics with further comments in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. This week it doesn't. I'm remembering Easters past. MOL!

1. I TW got my her first cell phone in 2001 right after 9/11. It was a flip phone. After they couldn't contact each other for over 10 hours on 9/11/01, they decided cell phones were necessities. Now she doesn't have one but Pop has a smart one.

2. I wish the word NO could be removed from the English language. Then I could do anything I wanted! Am I right? Why is TW shaking her head?

3. I'll never outgrow biting. Heh heh. TW frowned when I dictated that. TW says she'll never outgrow chocolate and stuffies.

4. TW make(s) me feel old. Can you believe that old bat is always calling me old?

The following are my Feral Friday entries in the Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to provide a platform for anipal artists to showcase their latest digital, Photoshop and original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into works of art.

Feral Friday Fiesta of Fails

I wanted to show that fails make great art so I used the above pic with the IKEA shmousie and used my best scribble. I think it came nice.

BONUS ART! Since today—not tomorrow—is Hairball Awareness Day, I turned one of my past hairballs into art. Trust me, there's a hairball in this art. It's the gray in the middle between the kicker and the feather. I'm gonna give this painting to TW for Mother's Day. Aren't I thoughtful?

Hope you got a laugh out of these fails. I can't wait to see some of your's. Have a great weekend!

Would you like to comment?

  1. My human shot a load of bloopers when the KTLA crew were around yesterday morning. She is kind of embarrassed that she got so few usable photos!

  2. My momma gets TONS of bloopers too.

  3. Oh man, you sure got a great selection of fails there—yes that was definitely a sort of compliment, MOL
Anyways, I have to agree about the Ikea mousie, I mean who would not give those little guys a sniff?
Love the last one best, and the lightning quick speed you went to do your makeup.

  5. oh wow these really cracked me up!! I have so many bloopers I need to share.

  6. Why do the humans always blame the kitties for their shortcomings? C.k., You moved. C.K., you (allegedly) knocked the camera out of my hand. If you moved, then why is the background blurry too? Was there a localized earthquake in your apartment? I love seeing the bloopers, they always make me laugh. Cool art too.

  7. I love your fill-ins and yes no should be removed from the English language so you can do whatever you want.

Have a purrfect day and weekend. My best to your mom. ♥

  8. That's the beauty of artifying, CK! A blurry photo turns into something gorgeous! You should make a jigsaw puzzle out of it...just sayin'.

  9. I enjoyed your bloopers, glad you got one with Emmy's book in it too. :) Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I knew biting would be your #3. I don't like the word no either, but sometimes it is good. Do you want to go to the vet? NO- see it can be good.
I love your art too. Have a nice weekend! XO

  12. We're pretty sure that word NO doesn't really exist...at least WE never hear it. Okay...maybe Mom SAYS it but we don't hear it!

  13. Maybe if you kitties sat still ... I always hate that my best pictures in every other way usually cut off part of the cat. I just kind of embrace it :)

  14. Thanks for joining us, CK! These are great :) Mudpie just filled in her answers and her #2 is exactly the same!

  15. Great bloopers, CK! Us cats are really good at them, aren’t we? And we agree about the work NO. It should be banished from the English language for the reason you stated.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Your "bloopers" are better than most of our good shots!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Those are fun fails! I would like the word NO to be forbidden for everyone but me - MOL!

    ReplyDelete
  18. CK, All my Mom's shots are bloopers. If it was not for the occasional accident, and Photoshop we would NOT have photos on the blog...and that would be TOTALLY boring! Your (and TW)'s fillins are great! AND The ART - I am GOBSMACKED! I'm not sure which I like best, the Scribble or the Hairball.
    Can I have them both?

  19. Awesome bloopers and commentary, CK! And artifying a hairball photo? Brilliant! :)

Hugs to you, TW and Pop!

  20. Those photos do lack a certain something.
#1 isn't too bad. It shows your interest in the outdoors. Or, it makes you look like a cow walking into a stanchion. Not that I'm calling you a cow, just that the window frame looks like a head gate.

#4 turned into really good art, so that's not a fail.

  21. The bloopers made me laugh. I have some nose pics that are just 'abstract art' MOL.

Love the filters. I always say, you can transform a simple image into a work of art with a filter and yours are perfect!

  22. TW had some great fails for you to choose from! I love your hairball art. I would never have known where it was if you hadn't said.
I haven't deserted you! I have been on holiday for 2 weeks with no internet.

  23. I can see the hairball, CK, I think it's the best gift men can give of themselves...MOL :D Your bloopers are very cute, we look straight through the blooperness how cute you are and your mellow yellow artwork is looking very shiny and bright too. Pawkisses for a Happy Tuesday🐾😽💞

  24. We still don't think you could ever possibly have a true photo fail, CK. You're simply too stunning. And we're yet again late to visit, but we want to thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! But, surely you never hear the word "no", CK? We sure hope you don't!
