This first foto is actually a rerun but most of my readers and commenters are at the Cat Writers' conference so they'll never be the wiser. They're partying and not reading blogs. When the humans are away, the cats can
#1120 from June 2010 was taken on a dark and stormless night. I was looking for night birds out the window in TW's room. I may have even woken up in the middle of the night cos I heard action outside. Perhaps the CK Tour bus was passing by and I wanted to wave to my fans. They come from all over the world to try and catch a glimpse of their idol—Me. Yo, peeps, thanks for coming by! Of course, TW had to get up too and try to spoil my fun. BTW, I don't bother the cord from the big orange rock. I don't want that puppy falling on me. Thanks to Eastside Cats and the PO'M for choosing it.
TW didn't want me to publish #1016 from March 2010 which was chosen by the Florida Furkids cos it shows how messy the top of her dresser was and is even though she had to clear a lot of room for the Venta Airwasher. But I look absolutely stunning so I'm showing it. It'll be fine if you just concentrate on me and nothing but me. She can't even blame working on my blog. We weren't posting too much at the time. I used to jump on the dresser all the time so I could then jump on the armoire to look out the window. I can see everything going on outside from such a high perch.
We gonna go head now to the Friendly Fill-Ins, a feature held weekly at this time. Let's meet our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are underlined and in italics with further comments in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. Today it relates loosely to number four.
1. Fur is my fashion statement of the decade. Only cats and animals who are born with it should wear fur. I'm so excited that NYC is voting on a bill to ban the sale of fur in all five boroughs. I hope it passes so that more little minks, ermines, etc. don't have to get electrocuted, gassed or skinned alive so rich people could think they're fashionable.
2. My favorite character on Big Bang Theory is the one who saves cats. I don't watch the show but TW has read about the women with the funny name being a voice for cats.
3. I could set a world record for speed. The peeps can't believe how fast I can run through the condo "at my advanced age." Yeah, there's that age thing again.
4. Jumping into a tub with water in it is the craziest thing I've ever done (and I've done some crazy, er, stuff). Lucky for me there was just a bit of water in there so I didn't drown. I do play with some inneresting things like a spear of asparagus. TW seems to find a lot of what I do hilariously funny if not crazy.
I was looking through some boxes of TW's ancient pics and I came across an image of a cat who looked like my twin. I couldn't believe it! I scanned it and tried to fix it up but it is what it is. It's all grainy and ravaged with age so you might have to squint to see. I made it so you could click and biggify it to see it better. Isn't it freaky how much this cat resembles me. Lemme ax TW if she remembers the cats name.
HAH! I tricked you! It's me made in Snapseed to look like those 200 year old pics TW has from her peeps. Dunno why that app is so popular. You really can't do much with it like LunaPic and some of the others. Maybe it's just the free version that stinks. We used a grunge filter, frame and one or two other filters.
I'm participating in the Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum for anipal artists to showcase their latest digital, Photoshop and original art. Can't draw a straight line? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into works of art.
That first picture of you peaking out from the blinds is really cute.
ReplyDeleteLove the pics CK and I also landed in a tub of water once!
ReplyDeleteLove your fill-ins. Kitties do these way better than humans. Just saying.
ReplyDeleteHave a purrfect day and weekend. My best to your peeps. ♥
You did fool me with the old looking photo. And I thought you were plugged in to recharge in the one by the window. I want to take the tour to go by your home. Thank you for these great fill-in answers. The lady that played Amy is a cat lover. I am glad you can still speed around the condo. We will definitely be wearing orange tomorrow for Crockett. His death is such a tragedy, I feel so bad for his family. And now I just found out Grumpy Cat died, such an awful week. XO
ReplyDeleteCK; we noe crockett's gonna lovez thiz post ewe did in hiz honor ♥♥♥ ya look stunning in all yur fotoz; even at 200 yeerz old ya bee gorgeouz !! rock on brooklyn, bronx, manhatten, queens & staten island ~ ♥♥♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteGreat post...so much going on and you sure did fool us with that photo. Nice to honor Crockett too.
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
You certainly had me tricked with that photo! Very cool! And I hope that bill passes!
ReplyDeleteI like the photo of your eye peeping out between the blinds. The old style photo looks very authentic.
ReplyDeleteWe figured not many will be reading with the conference going on too! Tell TW not to worry about her dresser - mine was just as messy until I cleared everything off to make room for Conway LOL
ReplyDeleteMayim Bialik is the cat person. She played Amy. You really fooled us with that last photo, CK. We sure were wondering what kitty looked exactly like you. We are remembering Crockett today. Cooper Murphy is “orangified” more than usual. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
ReplyDeleteLove the pics, even the Snapseed one!
ReplyDeleteThanks for remembering Crockett and going orange today. Even if it are the Mets' color!
ReplyDeleteYou looked stunning in all the pictures and tell TW that when you are in a picture people don't notice ANYTHING else. Good thing Mommy realized a long time ago that if she only showed pictures where the house looked nice and neat we would NEVER have any pictures to share.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, CK. The one of you peeking out from the shades is fun!
ReplyDeleteWe hope that no-fur law passes in New York City!
We think your orange graphic is purrfect for Angle Crockett. And we also think that any photo starring you is purrfect. Your fill-ins are also purrfect. Everything about you is purrfect, isn't it, CK?
