Happy Passover Fotos, Facts and Fun

Yo kitties! How you doin'? I'm excited for this weekend. I have two of the four teams in the NCAA Final Four! I'm a playa. The semifinals are tomorrow and the final on Monday. Today starts Passover and Sunday is Easter. Of course we're really excited cos the baseball season started yesterday. Pop worked at home and we all watched together. Lots going on and I have lots going on here too so let's get started.

Happy Passover Fotos, Facts and Fun

I'm blaming Kitties Blue for making me show this highly embarrassing foto #1892 from August 2011.
Happy Passover Fotos, Facts and Fun

It's a one-off so there's not much story behind it. I'm in TW's room which is an unusual place for me to be in the middle of the day. I be flipping her off with my tongue in this one. Either that or I just bit her. It's not like she has any other food in there for me. I don't like how hard she laughed when this foto came up.

Happy Passover Fotos, Facts and Fun

Foto #6892 from April 2016 was chosen by Manxmnews. As you can see, I'm posing for a sponsored post. Bavarian Cat Toys sent me an entire box of smelly valerian toys. I wasn't too fond of the fox but really took to the owl. In fact, the owl was the only one I really played and had fun with. The rest kinda disappeared into thin air. I know TW still has them somewhere but I haven't seen them in years. She has some nerve rationing my toys! I should be the boss of my toys.

The Friendly Fill-Ins are hosted each and every week by 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader. They make up the fill-ins and I make up the answers. My answers are in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. This week it relates to numbers one and two. Posing with me and the oversized plush PEEP® is our oldest Easter decoration. I think Gramma got it one of the first years after she married Grampa back in like the 1940s.

1. For Easter (or Passover), I stay home and chillax like the peeps do. Cooking for two humans plus one hungry cat who loves ham is a chore but the peeps wouldn't leave me on a holiday. I'm family.

2. My favorite Easter (or Passover) treat is ham. I love ham and we only have it for Easter and New Years Day. TW has always loved getting an Easter basket filled with candy but we haven't been doing that the past few years.

3. Lately, the song is stuck in my head is one of the ones TW used in the Monday Mewsic post. Actually she's been singing and humming both "Boulder to Birmingham" and "Talk to Me of Mendocino" nonstop. The agony! My poor bleeding ears.

4. The A-Z Blogging Challenge is not something I'm innerested in revisiting. We tried it once and got through the letter Q I think. It's hard for us to post every single day especially during baseball season.

It's time for the art portion of our show post. This week I'm using my early entries in The Caturday Art blog hop, hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum, to send holiday wishes. Make like a bunny tomorrow and hop over to see the other digital, Photoshop and hand-drawn art on Caturday.

Remember that old Village People song "Matzo Man"? Well I've turned myself into a Matzo cat to wish all my Jewish furrends a very Happy Passover. TW actually likes matzos cos she's not forced to eat them. Chag Sameach! May your Passover be rich with meaning and full of joy.

I did a little Easter art too although I'll be back on Sunday to extend Easter wishes to all.

Would you like to comment?

  1. Hey CK! I LOVE your photos! The Mouth open one is the best! I've never tried Valerian. Somebody sent Nellie some and Mom was allergic to it, so I don't think I'll get any soon. Your Friday fill-ins ROCK! I too am a ham-aholc and I can't wait for Sunday!
    Your art, as always ROCKS!

  3. CK that was so sweet of you to include Passover! Hoping you have a most pawesome Easter! You know the Tigers were rained out yesterday (their opening day), which was probably a GOOD thing because they are gonna suck big time lol. My Indians open at home next week. 4. Love all the photos! And what's up with hiding the toys...they should always be available 24/7. No holding back! Mom wants seafood for Easter. She's the best! Purrs

  5. I used to eat matzo and low-fat cheese as meals when I was dieting a long time ago...seems pretty silly now!

  9. You look great in a matzo cracker. I don't let my cats play with valerian toys because I can't stand the smell. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, I always enjoy your answers. I hope you get a lot of ham for Easter :) Believe me, I am sure TW sings better than me so your ears are lucky. XO

  14. I *love* matzos!!! Mudpie likes ham too, amazingly enough. TW doesn't have food in her bedroom, CK? I keep a bag of treats in my room for when Mudpie wakes up early and I want to keep her quiet ;)

  16. Hahaha. I grew up loving Matzos ... but then again, I'm not Jewish either! I usually follow the tournament closely - but it kind of slipped my mind this year. Do you have a favorite CK?

  17. MOL! We like that pic of you flicking your tongue, CK! Good luck with the final 4. We stopped watching the tourney when MSU got knocked out.

  19. CK, we love that photo we selected.(That # was chosen as that's the year Mom's grandpa was born.) Tongue photos always show lots of purrsonality, and we think you look terrific. We really like our selection. You cracked us up with "Matzo Man." Our mom never had matzo balls until she started dating our dad. She does not like them at all. The relatives who used to serve those and things like creamed herring have all passed away. Mom is sad they are gone, but grateful she doesn't have to try to eat much less look at that food. She will eat all the challah she can get her paws on, however. If you are posting this Sunday, please join our Sunday Selfies blog hop. It would be a privilege to have you there.
