I am a fussy cat, a picky eater and set in my ways. It's so hard for TW to get me to try a new cat food. Even kibble and I was raised on kibble at the shelter. That was my diet—a quarter cup in the morning and a quarter cup at night. For these reasons you'd think TW would be happy that I love the tiny 2-lb bag of Fussie Cat Market Fresh Grain-Free Cat Food that Chewy sent us. (It also comes in more reasonable 4- and 8-lb bags.)
I can't seem to please her so I made a list of the pros and cons of my eating Fussie Cat Market Fresh Salmon & Chicken recipe.
Pros:
- It's healthy with fresh ingredients.
- I've been drinking from my fountain since I started eating it.
- Salmon is the first ingredient.
- It's got a bunch of nutrients and doesn't contain that synthetic vitamen K.
Cons:
- None that I can think of except the bag is too small. She needs to buy a much bigger one.
So there you have it. Plus all the benefits in the image below.
TW said it would be fine if I ate my wet food too. She's noticed that my pees are smaller since I've been on this mostly kibble diet, which makes her frown. I guess it's good that she doesn't want me to get kidney disease, isn't it?
Fussie Cat dry cat food also comes in chicken & turkey and fresh salmon recipes and the brand also makes wet cat food, which I've yet to try. Maybe Chewy will send some my way soon.
Moral: kibble is good as long as you also eat wet food and drink plenty of water.

This is the best cat food EVER!!!!
Mudpie is pawsitively obsessed with this food too! Although she's good about drinking water.
ReplyDeleteHumans! You can't please them either way, can you?
ReplyDeleteIt duz look tasty - just remember to drink your water!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you liked it CK! We do eat some Fussie Cat wet food and it's pretty good too.
ReplyDeleteYummy, sounds good. Mom would feed us all canned food but some of us are extremely pickie and won't eat it. We do get raw Balanced Blends cuz old man Mr. Chivers eats it. This sounds like a good alternative in addition to wet. Thanks for test tasting the food for us! Purrs
ReplyDeleteDrinking more from your fountain sounds like a good start. But I understand her concern about not eating your wet food. Glad you like this, though!
ReplyDeleteI guess you have to give TW credit for having your back, CK. That being said, I hate moist food and refuse to eat it. My mom doesn't like that, but I tell her too bad. Purrs, Eddy
ReplyDeleteThis sounds yummy, C.K. Wish we didn't eat a prescription diet. Maybe TW will replace the little bit of kibble you currently get with this. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
ReplyDeleteI love that your critic is that the bag is too small :)
ReplyDeleteFussie Cat cat food, is it kitty crack? My cat Jake would probably love this food, but he's not too fussy.
ReplyDeleteFussy Foods am grain free? Dats goods cause I haz to eat grain free. I am good water drinker though. Now Keisha you needs to eat some wets foods too dats goods fur you. Would you eats wet foods if some fussy foods was put with it? -Angel the Fetch Kitty.
ReplyDeleteCK, I'm glad you found another kibble food that you really like. I've been on one brand of kibble for a long time, 'cause I've turned my nose up others Mom has brought home for me. I bet your momma will be happier though if she can get you on the moist version of the Fussie Cat Market. I have kidney disease, but I sure hope you don't get it. Hugs! -Valentine (& Mom) of Noir Kitty Mews
ReplyDeleteHmm, thanks for the review, CK, but only The O Cats eat kibble, and that's when it's too cold for wet food. I dig through the litter boxes looking at everybody's peeballs, and I mix water into their meals too! Years of dealing with Chuck's intestinal and bladder issues makes me nervous, knowhatImean?
ReplyDeleteck....troo lee....with de eggz ceptshunz oh daiz; we haza looooong histree of kibble chowin heer in de land oh trout....knock wood, it haz served uz well, tho we due lovez R waterz ~~~~~~ ♥♥♥☺☺ N grain free iz good.....ya willna eat sew much ~~~~~~

ReplyDeleteYou should try the canned Fussie Cat food. It’s yummy too!
ReplyDeleteNice review. I am glad it was a hit. :)
ReplyDeleteCK, my woman sticks us with a needle every 36-48 hours and fills us with fluids. Kidney disease. We won't eat wet food. Get it?
ReplyDeleteWe are a rescue so not her fault, just sayin'.
I haven't eaten kibble in a long time, but I do enjoy it. Maybe you'll go back to your wet food when the novelty of this food wears off.
ReplyDeleteOur kitty Sophie needs a new food. We may have to check this out.
