Happy Earth Day! I don't know about you but the peeps claim they have a very small carbon footprint. I've seen Pop's feet and they don't look small to me. They say it's cos they don't drive a car and either walk or take mass transportation. They also bring sacks to the supermarket instead of axing for bags and recycle paper, bottle and cans. Can you believe they even wash my cat food cans and recycle them. I guess that means my carbon footprint is small too. You didn't visit me today to hear about their footprints though; you came for the Friday Foto Frenzy and I won't disappoint.

This foto was part of a shoot done in 2010 on the kitchen table using only the incandescent bulb as lighting. TW loves the sepia effect that was produced. She had taken a few snaps when I decided to start washing. If you look closely, you can see my little pink tongue. Christy Paws is a very artistic cat and she suggested #852. I'm sure she will enjoy it.

My woofie furrend Carma Poodale picked #3813, which took place during a raucous game of foam rockets. Suddenly I spied something outside the window. Looka how intensely I'm staring at it. I wonder if our neighbor was sunbathing on her terrace. Nah. It had to be the burds or the bugs.

I love that the Trout Towne Tabbies picked this foto! As you can see in #2111, I'm hiding out among a bunch of (recycled) boxes but do you know where I was?? This is a rare sight indeed! I'm in the walk-in closet in Pop's room. You've never seen fotos of me in here. It's not rare that I go in there—in fact, Pop leaves the door ajar for me at all times—it's rare that TW can take a foto of me hiding at the tippy top. This was the only foto she took that day too. Those boxes contain some of the peeps holiday decorations. No DVD recorders in here. TW actually shot a video of me smelling around the boxes and giving a guided tour but it never made the blog since all the boxes in it had our house number showing in big markered letters. The concierges do that. Perhaps someday I'll show you some stills from it since we can edit those.

Do you have private crawl spaces where you can hide out in peace?

Does your peep wash out and recycle your cat food cans? Don't forget to reuse and recycle.

  1. My momma and Crockett's momma wash da cans and recycle em. Angelique's momma are lazy and throws em away. So does Crockett's daddy.

  2. I'm afraid my human has pretty big carbon footprints, with our big house and the car she needs to get around our sprawling city. I will say she uses the Metro Rail whenever she can, though.

  3. Great pictures, CK. I think 3813 is my favorite - love your big round eye in that one. Yes, we recycle everything we can (including the wet food cans). Happy Earth Day!

  4. No recycling out here in the boonies unless you count the goats eating weeds, then pooping and us using the poop for fertilizer.

  5. We try to have small carbon footprints, too, CK. And we also clean and recycle kitty food cans at our house! I love these pictures, CK. The intensity of your gaze in 3813 is stunning. And I love the rare sighting in 2111! Purrs!

  6. My peeps do much the same as yours so their footprint is not too large either. Our recycling bin is usually over flowing whereas the trash bin they don't even take to the curb weekly. Love your pictures. Oh, I didn't do a new post, so don't waste your time coming over to see me. Maybe in a couple of days or so.

  15. Our humans are recyclers for sure, CK. They also tend to use things until they stop working. Oh, and Dad takes mass transit to and fro work every day.

Great foto frenzy! We love that hidey space one the best. :)

  16. Happy Earth Day, CK! Yep, the mom recycles all of our cans...and she recycles most anything that the recycle guys will pick up. The one thing she recycles is our Chewy boxes and we wish she would just let us keep them all.

  17. Hello my sweet darling girl XOXOXO Are you still speaking to me? You have NO IDEA what I have endured these last couple of weeks. It has been so terrible I cannot even speak about the neglect without a Xanax or six. Looking at you beauteous little face is very soothing to my agitated soul. Smooch.

  19. I love that I picked such an artistic photo! Mom always washed the cans and recycled them when we had the foster kitties. She tries but I know she could do better with the footprints.

  20. Every can is washed and recycled, including our food cans. Our humans have been recycling long before it was popular. Mom will even pick things out of the trash that Dad has mistakenly put there; though, the item is recyclable. She's got a little OCD thing going on.
