Triangle Play Mat Review

Wednesday Word—Active. Triangle Play Mat Review

I am an active cat. Even though numerically I may be closer to a senior kitteh, I still play like a kitten. That’s why I thought the Kong® Triangle Play Mat for Cats would be a perfect toy for me. Chewy.com gave me the opportunity to give it a test drive. In the innerest of complete disclosure, Kong® isn’t our favorite brand but we believe in second chances.

"The KONG Triangle Play Mat for Cats promotes healthy exercise and fulfills your cat’s natural desire to chase, hunt and capture. This mat creates an inviting and versatile play space for indoor cats. The textured interior encourages scratching and the soft plush floor is ideal for snuggling." It features a dangling catnip mouse and it folds up for easy storage.

The blurb above should read indoor kittens since no grown cat would fit into the “tunnel.” TW thought I could use it as a tunnel since I already have more mats than I need. Even though I’m a smallish cat, I can’t even stick my head in it. (No comments from the cheap seats. I do not have a big head—literally or figuratively.) TW loves the color and said it might make a pawsome backdrop for product shoots. She tried laying it down furry side up but I kept my distance.

This product is well made and would be perfect for anyone who fosters kittens. The inside is very soft so they would absolutely have a ball playing in it and using the scratch surface. Even though it’s a fail for me, if you have kittens, I’d recommend this product.

If you have a kitten or small cat in da house, the KONG Triangle Play Mat should be on your holiday shopping list.

  1. That is pretty small. It might even be too small for a little (7 lb.) cat like me.

  7. I thought that tunnel looked a little small. At least you have something pawsome to give to a kitten rescue this holiday season! The color is beautiful. I don't think you have a big head. You have quite stunning proportions. :)

  9. It does look very small, but I am sure if it was flattened into a mat, we would make room to curl up together.

  10. yup, and that is 'xactly why Mom L did not chose to review the Kong mat. She read the dimensions and laughed out loud thinking of TKS and I getting our furry big butts, I mean heads, into it. But the color would have been great for you BFGF
