Teach Your Stuffies Well

I’m ready to do some Saturday blog hopping. Who’s ready to come along for the ride? Let’s start with this week’s 52 Snapshots of Life theme: Teach. This is a weekly photo challenge hosted by The Lazy Pit Bull where anyone can participate as long as you’re on social media by using the hashtag #52Snapshots. Easy, peasy.

I dug this photo out of the archives. I had done a sponsored post about curious cats so I was trying to show a bunch of curious cats learning from their teacher—ME—hence the "classroom.” I was teaching them how laughable humans’ misconceptions of cats are. As you can see, we had a, um, “foreign exchange student” in the class. I wonder if he learned anything since he didn’t speak much cat.

Now let’s hop over to Athena and Marie’s Caturday Art Blog Hop. Things are always hopping over there. Lots of creative cats and even some woofies.

Since tomorrow is Mother’s Day and my cat Mom—my only real Mom—is OTRB, TW thought she’d take a selfie of us kissing. I’ll give you a minute to gag. We used one of the Digital Drawing actions at 70% opacity. You can see me trying to pull away from her. Of course my furs are all smooth and not choppy like the drawings.

Then we used the Perfect Effects plugin in Photoshop. We also added a frame using Perfect Effects. TW doesn’t like the final image cause of how it makes her skin look. It also gives me a blemish on my chin and lip that I don’t have but I like how extra crappy she looks since she doesn’t even belong on my blog on Mother’s Day. She’s "The Woman" cos she isn’t my mother but, yeah, I kiss her anyway when I think she has chick-hen breath.

That reminds me that this is also my submission as I hop on to the Sunday Selfies blog hop at The Cat on My Head. Well, not on MY head but you know what I mean. Hope you Mom cats get some nice treats tomorrow. What would you like your human to give you for Mother’s Day?
