I'm surrounded by litter for this little story. |
Question: How many humans does it take to empty a litter box? (Answer the end of the post.)
Today was a big day at La Condo Keisha. My wacky peeps decided they were finally gonna clean out my new box. I call it my "new box" because it's the newest litter box in the condo but it's really quite old. As everybody who cleans their cat's boxes every week knows, the first step is to take all the old litter out.
Pop: Get a bag.
TW: This one is big enough. I saved it for just this reason. [Note from CK: The peeps get excited over the simplest things.]
Pop: Does it have any holes?
TW: Open it and look.
Pop: Looks fine to me.
After deciding the bag was in tip-top shape, Pop held the bag open and TW "carefully" poured the old litter into it.
TW: Make sure the bag doesn't rip while I'm pouring the litter.
Pop: Looks good to me. Now I'll pick up the bag and take it out and dump it down the chute.
I'm sure you know the punch line.
HAH!!
Answer: The same number of humans it takes to rip a thin plastic bag.
We bet you got pleasure out of theese one, huh CK? (Thanks for the purrs!)
ReplyDeleteSince we live in a house, my human takes the box with the used litter directly to the trash can and pours it all in! She has it SO easy - I may never know how dumb she really is!
ReplyDeleteKeisha you just can't get the staff these days. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
The words petard and hoist come to mind, but I have no idea why!!??
ReplyDelete;)
Peeps are SO untidy, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteOh my, so typical. I guess my staff have learned something though, they always use new plastic bags straight from the roll for this purpose.
ReplyDeleteHaha. Mommy uses TWO bags for this purpose (with 7 of us, there's a LOT of litter).
ReplyDeleteMOL that happens a lot around here!!! Silly humans. How many times do they have to do things before they learn?
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
You can tell me - you slipped a claw in when they weren't looking, didn't you?
ReplyDeleteHahaha, that happens :-)
ReplyDeleteYikes CK, that takes talent!!!
ReplyDeleteOh no! Happens to me too!
ReplyDeleteOops, that's looks familiar :-)
ReplyDeleteCK that happens when DAD does the litterboxes not Mom....so we think DAD is doing it on purpose so only Mom can clean the boxes.
ReplyDeletewell. we total lee messed thiz up coz we said 83....
ReplyDeleteWhoops ... hee hee!
ReplyDeleteCK are you SURE you didn't slip a paw into that bag when someone's head was turned? *giggles*
Purrs!
Selina
Saw THAT one coming! MOL!!!
ReplyDelete...at least you don't have Waffles around who likes to rip open the fresh bag of litter before Glogirly even gets to it. Yup, litter and bag remnants ALL over the floor. HBO AND Showtime words.
; ) Katie
oooooooops! MOL!
ReplyDeleteKeisha you stunner you. GREAT litter strainer.
ReplyDeleteMOL maybe next time double bagging is in order?
ReplyDeleteMOL! That sure looks familiar. :)
ReplyDeleteOh CK how do you put up with it...Have you considered advertising for new staff?
ReplyDeleteYou have to admit that things around the condo might be a bit boring were it not for such human hijinks, CK!
ReplyDeleteBwahahaha. That's funny, CK! Mostly because it's happened to our humans before, too. Now they usually double up the bag before they start pouring...
ReplyDeleteThat totally happened to me once... and now I double bag ;D Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteha ha - sounds like something M & D would do.
ReplyDeleteI have finally learned to never second guess a plastic bag. No more problems here.
ReplyDeleteI can't begin to tell you the number of times my Mom has done that :) Love, Cody
ReplyDeleteOh CK. I gave Ann of Boolatry credit. That was her fine work. xoxoxoxox
ReplyDeleteWe hate it when that happens. Mom is the kind that double bags just in case of holes or tears. Our dad is the kind who doesn't even look at the bag prior to scooping or emptying. It makes Mom really crazy, but she doesn't say anything. She's afraid he'll never do any scooping or emptying ever again. How hard were your laughing C.K.? Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteBwaa!!! Haa!!! Haa!!!
ReplyDeleteMommy even tooked our box outside to does the scooping today, but mes fooled her...
Mes has taken to peeing on the OUTSIDE of the box and digs the litter OUT of the box all over the floor, so when they MOVE the box, there is a big pile of stinky clay!!!
Kisses
Nellie
Heh heh heh. Good one! I mean, you mighta fooled the others, but *I* know you clawed that little hole in the bag yourself!
ReplyDeleteMy floofy 'tocks were too much for ya, huh?
CK, I'm still at the dentist...can you spring me? And bring some vine...
ReplyDeleteI think you'll be better off cleaning the litter box yourself.
ReplyDeleteHA! Well, I'm sad (and embarrassed somewhat) to say that this same scenario is acted out in MY house too. I've come to the conclusion that ALL plastic bags are made with little holes in them at the bag factory....they all seem to have them....just big enough for litter to pour out. I'm sure the plastic bag manufacturers get a BIG charge out of knowing what happens in the homes of cat owners 'round the world as a result.
ReplyDeleteKitty hugs, Sammy
Now imagine that with only one human! Now that's a sight to behold!
ReplyDeleteHey, CK, if you liked those 'tocks, you'll love the tum!
ReplyDeleteMOL! I bet you must have learned some colorful human words then!
ReplyDeleteI didn´t see that one coming !
ReplyDeleteJust kidding :)
