In the hood, where I come from, they didn't have good food like Royal Canin. I had to live off anything I found on the streets. I didn't know about pet nutrition; I only knew survival. That could be disastrous to your health if you have to live like that for any length of time. Fortunately, if you're reading this, you have a forever home with a staff looking to spoil you and your fursibs. Meow to them about what you're about to learn from Professor Keisha. Even though Royal Canin makes many different formulas, depending on factors such as your cat's breed, age, whether they're spending all their time indoors, as well as special health concerns, I'm going to talk specifically about Indoor Adult 27, Indoor Light, Indoor Intense hairball, Special and Kitten formulas. More specifically, you'll learn how they pertain to your feline's health.
Pay attention to the blackboard and I'll explain the features that makes these Royal Canin formulas so unique.
Did you get all that? Hope you were taking notes. If you weren't, Royal Canin is doing some in-store meet and greets in the New York metro area where you can talk with their representations and pick up a sample bag of their specialized cat and dog food. Dog formulas they're giving out include Mini Puppy, Mini Adult, Yorkshire Terrier Puppy, Yorkshire Terrier Adult, Chihuahua Puppy and Chihuahua Adult.
Give a listen to Professor Keisha and I'll give you the 411 where to get the free samples and meet RC representatives. 32 stores will be giving away free samples, but only the four listed below will have a Royal Canin representative there to answer your questions. There's a special website where you can enter your zip code and find the store nearest to your location. Even if you don't live near any of the participating stores, the site will create a coupon for $3 off that can be printed that will list the stores that sell Royal Canin close to your zip code.
You can get free Royal Canin samples at the following days, times and locations. TW may even put in an appearance with Plush CK, schedule permitting.

GIVEAWAY TIME! Now for the rest of my readers, I have the authority, with the blessings of the folks at Royal Canin to give away approximately 20 lbs of RC cat formula. You can choose from any of the formulas mentioned above. They could be for your use or if you want to donate it to a shelter. This is for U.S. residents only but those outside the U.S. can enter and donate the food to a 501c3 shelter in the U.S. Use the Rafflecopter to enter. Make sure I have your e-mail address so I can get in touch with you if you win.

Pawsome giveaway, CK! We're fans of Royal Canin, though if we win we'll probably share the loot with our shelter. So please enter us! ...don't worry, we'll do the rafflecopter thingy. I'm not letting Waffles drive that thing though. He doesn't have a pilot's license.
ReplyDelete~Katie
We can't go to a store as they are too far away and I don't drive. Pricilla won't let me hook her up to a cart.....
ReplyDeleteBut with four farm cats to feed you know how it is.
How lovely that those outside the US can still have a chance of winning but then donate the prize rather than just not being involved. Count me in.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting giveaway. We're in the process of switching to canned from kibble, but we would donate a prize to a local rescue. Off to rafflecopter.
ReplyDeleteWe aren't from the US but we would love to enter so we can donate to a shelter if we win.
ReplyDeleteVery generous giveaway! If we won, we would donate it to the shelter we came from.
ReplyDeleteI do hear that they make some darn yummy food CK!
ReplyDeleteWow! Great giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteI have been eating Royal Cannon for the past year and got along very well on it. Then vet lady put he on a d.i.e.t. so now I'm off it. M says don't enter me in contest cuz who knows what food I'll end up on.
ReplyDeleteWe've been eating Royal Canin since we were kittens. We're currently eating the Royal Canin Persian food and really like it.
ReplyDeleteAlways love a giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway. We love the Royal Cannon food. Our email is margaretmsan at gmail dot com.
ReplyDeleteThat is great giveaway! I love that friedns outside U.S. can win the giveaway for the shelter!
ReplyDeleteWe'd sure like to enter. We've never tried Royal Canin.
ReplyDeleteMommy says the Light would be good for me. ~Scylla

ReplyDeleteThanks for this great post CK. We had never heard of this brand of food prior to your post. Mom was going to ask about the Adult 27 and what the manufacture considered adult, but then she noticed the other formulas, not including kitten, are for cats 1 to 10 years old, so she is figuring the Adult 27 is for kitties over the age of ten. Please enter us in this great giveaway. Have a furry good weekend. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Misty May, Mauricio, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
ReplyDeleteWe eat Royal Canin foods...but one of the veterinary diets. (the hypoallergenic one) If we win, we would donate the 20lbs to our local shelter. Thanks for doing this, CK!

ReplyDeleteI don't think I can attend any events, but I'd love to try that Royal Canin that makes less stinky poops ;)
ReplyDeleteThat rafflecopter thingy frightens the human to death!!! She won't go near it!! We do have Royal Canin here in the UK, but have never tried it!!! xox
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy!
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway. Question? Who did your graphics with the chalkboard? THey are really good!
Cody actually DOES eat Royal Canin but he is on their Veterinary Rabbit formula. Darn.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the lesson Professor Keisha! I like Royal Canin food and we used to sell it at the vet clinics I worked at. The prescription formulas though. I guess I'll go ahead and enter the giveaway, but Honey D has been missing... My mom can use the food for her cats or I'll donate it if Honey doesn't get the chance to try it out.
ReplyDeleteI would like to enter if I may CK, I know you can't send it overseas so if we win - would you donate ours as a gift to @ ChrisGroove1 on Twitte - his Mum is a wonderful lady who we love very much.
ReplyDeleteMarjorie and Harvey Button
Royal Canin is my FAVORITE kibble even though the wet fudz is just so-so and lots of times I won't eat them which makes the human mad because she says she might as well be scraping $5-bills into the garbage. Pfft. My favorite is the kitten kibble which I don't get very often since the Human says I am nine years old and it can't possibly be good for me. I like the "Selective" flavor that comes in the white bag with the pink label. It's delicious. NOT as delicious as the kitten food, but almost. Ooooh, I hope I win!!!!
ReplyDeleteRoyal Canin is good stuffs. I (Carmine) eat a prescription diet for my FLUTD, and I hated the Hill's c/d wet food, but I really like the Royal Canin s/o wet one!
ReplyDeleteIf we win, we'd like to get the Indoor Adult formula, and we'll donate it to a cat shelter we love since we all have to eat Carmine's prescription kibbles. :)
Great giveaway! I won't be visiting in-store because I don't have one around me.

ReplyDeleteWe'd love to enter!
ReplyDeleteAimee loves Royal Canin. We're not near any of the stores but we'd love to win and we would share with a shelter.
ReplyDeleteI would like the Special 33 for my Tigger.
ReplyDeleteI would probably donate any food that I win to our local shelter cats. They need all they can get. Great information on a great food.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, there are no in-store events in my area. My cat would love to try Royal Canin food though.
