Cleanup in the Cat Tree Aisle

Hola kitties. No, The Cat didn't make a mess. Wonder why there are never any pics when the peeps make a mess. There just never are. Sure there's a lot of HBO words thrown around not to mention towels and the like but the flashy box never comes out. I was traumatized to say the least. Lemme set the stage.

When Pop is working from home, he likes to take charge even though TW knows when I want to get fed, etc. She knows the score. Pop told her I was hungry even though I was on the Tower of Power and nowhere near my food dish.  She finally relented and poured my Autumn Bounty chicken and put it on the ToP. I was on the very top floor which she can't reach so she put it down on the lower ledge.

If I was on this level, she could have given me the food but I was higher.
Before I could jump down to eat it, Pop took charge. He grabbed it to put it up where I was. Instead he rammed the dish into the top of the ToP's condo and the contents of the dish splattered all over the place but mostly it dripped down the tree to the platform. There was chicken and pumpkin soup all over my ToP.

I was still sitting up top cos I didn't know what to do. Should I come down and lick it off the carpeted tree? I was frozen in place.

Before I could move, the cleanup in the cat tree aisle began. Pop grabbed paper towels; TW grabbed environmentally correct cloth towels. I managed to jump down without getting my feet too wet and dirty cos I could see TW was about ready to explode. I could see her mind racing. "Why couldn't you leave it alone!" "You're a big help!" etc. I have to give her credit for holding her tongue for once. She said "at least it isn't stinky fish." She said it could have happened to anyone but we know it could only happen to Pop.

TW tried to clean up first with wet towels and then with the rug cleaner. Meanwhile The Cat still hadn't gotten fed. I was hungry.

When she finally thought to feed me, she gave me another pouch of the same chicken. I was traumatized from seeing all that wasted food and I couldn't even sniff it.

She sez she did a good enough job and I don't need another tree. I say I deserve a new tree. She sez they could order new parts for the tree since it's an Armakat tree. I still say I deserve a new tree. As you can see, it's ruined. What do you say?

CK, if the tree comes apart, then any part that was dripped upon needs to be removed and properly steam cleaned with organic, cat-friendly enzymatic cleaner. Then, carefully dried and fluffed, before returning it for your usage.
Or, just get a new one...

That is simply tragic in so many ways! You should definitely get a new tree.

Kind of reminds me of the day I dumped an entire Starbucks strawberry Frappuccino on the couch...

Dang, CK. That good food got wasted AND your tree got jacked up. That's a bad day, for sure!

Of course you deserve another tree after the upset of not just seeing your food wasted, but covering your lovely clean tree.

Oh yeah! You need a new tree. What an amazing accident by your pop. Usually we get blamed for messes in our household. We knew the p's (parents) made them too. And now we have proof! Thanks for sharing this evidence. Love ya! Now go and pick out your new tree, MOL. Purrs
