On Monday TW was cooking "cheat" chicken cats-a-tore. What she does is take Saturday's left-over chicken cutlets and put them in tomato gravy. Then she makes rice as a side. She likes to put fresh basil in the gravy and we happen to have a plant on MY windowsill so she cut off a bunch of leaves like she always does.
Mealtime came and she started thinking that Pop ate all the basil in the gravy cos she only got a leaf and a half out of the half dozen or so she put in the gravy. Heh heh. Sorry, I can't tell this without giggling.
After the meal was finished she went into the kitchen to assess how many dishes there were. You guessed it. Half the leaves were still sitting there! She meant to add them on top of the chicken and forgot! HAH! And she accused Pop of bogarting the basil! Lucky Pop has a sense of humor about these kind of things. He knows how #senile TW is!
The image to the right is a dramatization cos no basil was ever actually on the bed.
And … speaking of #senile … I have a little story about Pop too. Nope, he's not immune to senility. Last week the peeps came home from shopping. An hour or so later Pop axed if anyone knew where he laid his reading glasses. TW axed if he had them when he came home. He swore he did. He said he took them outta his pocket and went to the sink to wash them off and then things got fuzzy. A week later and they still haven't turned up. TW and I both think he lost them while they were out shopping but since I never agree with TW over Pop, I'll keep helping him look for them.
Am I the only one here who has two #senile peeps?
I'm sure there are lots of older humans owned by cats in the blogosphere! Whether they are senile or not - I get the feeling that some kitties aren't telling!
ReplyDeleteMOL! I though you were gonna say she put catnip leaves in instead of basil!
ReplyDeleteI just misplaced my glasses and phone this morning, but I remembered where I put them after I thought about it for a minute. My t.v.remote goes missing all time though. I ask my cat Jake where it is. If he starts purring, then I know that he's sitting on it. When I pretend to not know that he's sitting on it, then he really starts purring, it's almost like he's laughing at me.
ReplyDeleteThankfully I only have one to deal with here! I feel for you having two to deal with. MOL!
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard taking care of humans.

My cats could tell lots of stories about us. My mom loses her glasses all the time. She has many back up pairs now. I hope he finds his glasses.

CK, sometimes The Hubby forgets where he's driving to, and I forget why I walked into the other room! LOL!
ReplyDeleteMy lips are sealed...but sometimes it seems that someone forgets what she is doing or where she is going, but that's from my nipped point of view...MOL😸
ReplyDeletePawkisses for a Happy Wordless Wednesday🐾😽💞
Your peeps are pretty funny! It's good that you have humans that can give you a good laugh. My kitties get to make fun of me all of the time. I lose my glasses often only to find that I am wearing them. Time for a stronger prescription, I guess. LOL
ReplyDelete-Purrs from your friends at www.PlayfulKitty.net
LOL! I thought you were going to say that TW had put your nip in the meal instead of basil.
ReplyDeleteYour peeps are a hoot! I don't think Mudpie thinks I'm senile quite yet, but her grandparents are another story! MOL
ReplyDeleteWell, CK, at least your humans keep you laughing.
ReplyDeleteMOL! We were gonna ask the same thing as Brian!
ReplyDeleteAt least she didn't forget to put in the chicken. Hope your pop finds his glasses.
ReplyDeleteThis is a subject near and dear to my heart, CK! My senior - the housekeeper, bless her flea-brained, absent-minded little heart, ran a tollbooth one time and all the bells and crap went off. She backed the car up and what I heard was she said, "Did I give you too much?" What a card. She forgets all the time. Good thing I have four legs and a brain or else I'd be misplaced in a closet somewhere. - Tom x
