Mail Call!

Hola kitties! I had another post planned but I had to postpone it so I can tell you about a funny thing that happened Sunday in the condo. It must have been funny cos TW was crying and wheezing she was laughing so hard. I hope this isn't one of those "you had to be there" type stories.

Mail Call!

The middle of last week the peeps ordered a new sucky machine. TW's wanted an upright one for a year so they finally found one at a price they couldn't pass up. I'm not gonna mention a brand cos I'm not getting green papers from them. On Wednesday the order was placed. Come Saturday, TW got an email that she had a box waiting downstairs for her. They had just come from the supermarket so they drew straws to see who would go back down.

Apparently Pop lost even though I didn't see no straws. He said he'd pick it up Sunday morning. TW couldn't wait for her new toy so she kept bugging him.

Sunday a.m. The Cat axed Pop when he was going to pick up MY package cos he told me to remind him. Pop joked with TW about maybe needing her help carrying it upstairs BUT The Cat know something was up. I knew he wouldn't need help.

Mail Call!

Pop came back upstairs. This was the package that arrived with lots of fanfare.

Then the jokes started.

Pop: I think I hurt my back picking up that heavy package. I finally lifted it on my shoulder.

TW: It's a good thing you didn't take the cart and tell the concierge to "lay it on you."

Pop: When he handed me the box, I said "Is that it? You don't have anything else?"

We can imagine the look on Pop's face when the guy handed him the tiny little package. I'll bet he was ready to kill TW who conned him into thinking it was the vacuum. They're still laughing about it and they're still waiting for the vacuum which was only mailed on Friday.

Oh, and The Cat was right. The package was for me. It was the Fancy Feast Appetizer sample I ordered. Good things come in small packages. "Small pleasures. Pure joy."

  3. Yup, you were right. I guess you had to be there! Yeah, what was in that tiny little package is definitely better than a new vacuum. Great story!

  4. Boy, if only sucky machines came in packages that small, maybe they wouldn't be so scary! Naw, they still would be.

  6. What a super surprise for you, CK. Who would ever order a sucky thing that is so loud. Obviously someone like your mom. Our vacuum is built into the wall. So it lives in the walss. It sure is a quiet boarder when inside the walls.
