Today's fotos are both from the prehistoric age. Wait, did I give you permission to type that, Woman? I don't think so! You're the prehistoric one! Anyhoo, due to the great numbering system TW has, the earlier number had the latest date. Did I lose you? I wish I could lose TW.
Look who's making a surprise appearance in #83, chosen by the Trout Towne Tabbies? It's HHGutt! I try to suppress his appearances on this blog since he thinks it's his. One time he even hijacked it! In fact he tried it twice. In March of 2009, it was routine for me to sleep pressed up against HHGutt. TW loves when I sleep with my paw covering my eyes. This day she only got two shots before I moved.
Sigh! My first cat bed! I still miss it. #118 is from June 2007. I'm all curled up and it's one of the few fotos where you can see the tabby stripes on my tail and even on my leg. There was definitely tabby in my ancestry but don't call me Tina Tabby. The only question about this foto is why is my bed on the coffee table and not Pop's bed unless it was brand new. Thanks to Mudpie for picking a great foto.
Let's head over to the Friendly Fill-Ins—a feature held once a week at this time—and see what my mission is this week. The Friendly Fill-Ins are hosted each and every week by 15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are underlined and in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. This week it relates to number one.
1. For Halloween, I want to be stunning. Oh wait, I already am stunning.
2. Pop makes me feel like royalty.
3. On a dark and stormy night, I rise up outta the pumpkin patch and visit Pop in his room.
4. If I had a witch's cauldron, I would stir up a potion for kindness and tolerance. I'm talking to you humans. You need to show more kindness toward furry creatures—especially cats—and more tolerance toward your fellow humans. Everyone has a story so stop to listen before you diss someone. Luckily for every crappy human, there's a pawsome one. I offer this story.
I've been posting on FB about a little gray and white kitty TW has been feeding in the small park near Dunkin Donuts. She met a man who lives next door to the park yesterday. He said the kitty, who he calls Pinera, was dumped in the park about two months ago. The man feeds Pinera three meals a day and has built a shelter on his porch for her and he's also bought a heater for the cold weather. They talked about getting Pinera adopted since her ear is notched and the more time she spends outdoors, the more unadoptable she'll become. He seemed to know a bit about cats. When he thought TW was going to suggest taking her to Liberty Shelter, he said he'd never take her any place where they'll kill her. TW suggested a few rescues and that he take her pic and post on NextDoor dot com since he said he has an account.
Time for some scary Halloween art. I didn't leave myself room to sign this painting. HAH! I look pretty intense. I think it's my werewolf look. What do you think?
This is my entry in the Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to provide a platform for anipal artists to showcase their latest digital, Photoshop and original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into works of art like this one.
I really hope the little gray and white kitty finds a home before it gets too cold - I'm glad someone is looking out for her, though.
ReplyDeleteI hope that the little kitty can get into a good shelter and soon be adopted.
ReplyDeleteYour art is lovely. The colour and the smoke effect is very spooky. It looks like HH Gutt is trying to push you out.
There is so much stunningness in this post! First of all, little kitty Pinera's story sounds like it could have a happy ending. We are purring and praying this is the case! Now, can we come visit your pumpkin patch you mentioned in your fill-ins? We think that's certainly the place to be this time of year. And, of course, your Halloween art is yet again purrfectly spooktacular, CK!
ReplyDeleteI certainly agree with number four. That is great that Pinera has someone taking care of her. I hope she gets adopted though.
ReplyDeleteI am wondering why the man doesn't adopt Pinera and bring her inside, he clearly cares about her.
ReplyDeleteThank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. You are definitely stunning and I agree with your #4. I enjoyed your flashback photos and I love the Halloween art. Have nice weekend! XO
Thank you for keeping your eye on Pinera! I know that you are going to follow through with that man. And I was raised by very opinionated people, who taught me to voice my ideas at all times. Now, as an adult, it's not appropriate to share my opinions everywhere like that. Listening to others is much more important.
ReplyDeleteGreat post, CK. Hope everything works well for Pinera.
ReplyDeleteI hope Pinera finds a forever home before winter sets in, but so glad she's being cared for. So happy you love your new cat tree, CK!
ReplyDeleteGreat snoozy photos CK and we enjoyed your answers, especially the potion purrfect one! Hope that sweet kitty will be okay.
ReplyDeleteCute answers, kitty. Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteBless TW and the man for looking out for Pinera! What kind of jerks ... no, I'll keep those words to myself about the people who dumped her.
ReplyDeleteps - We think you are far more stunning that HH Gutt! And he doesn't have a cat tree!
ReplyDeleteYes, we agree on #4!
ReplyDeleteGreat art!

It's sad but most of us chose to make a potion for kindness, tolerance, and peace. Obviously, we need to rule the world. I'm so happy that the kitten has two humans caring for her. I hope she finds a forever home.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds as if the man is taking good care of Pinera, we have our paws crossed that maybe she will find a home with him as he sounds really nice.
ReplyDeleteLet's see! Your Photo Frenzy is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteand your fill-ins are terrific--Especially #4! and I gotta tell you...CK your art, you are spooktacularly fabulishious!
