Canary Pie

Hola kitties! Today's post is a funny one. It's a known fact that TW loves doing crossword puzzles. It's also a proven fact that The Cat is a genius which is why she often axes for my help on her crosswords. A couple of Sundays ago she needed a kind of pie that begun with "C" and ended with "RY." I knew the answer immediately and yelled it out.

Canary Pie

What would you have guessed?

Canary Pie

I yelled CANARY PIE!

She laughed at me—the nerve of her!—and about an hour later said the kind of pie they were looking for was "cherry." How utterly boring not to mention how dumb of her to take that long to figure it out. Unless you're from Trout Towne, wouldn't you rather have canary pie than cherry pie?

Friday will be my last regularly-scheduled post and it will be part of the Pet Photo Fails Blog Hop. I think I should post till the end of the month but stay tuned. You can check out my Facebook page to find out what I'm up to.

Thank you for the nice comments on Monday's farewell post. We almost changed TW's mind—until she had to "bake" the canary pie.

Would you like to comment?

  1. I think canary pie sounds way better than cherry pie! Even my human may agree, considering that cherry pie reminds her of a really awful song from her rock journalism days.

  6. I'd prefer canary pie too. I bet it tastes like chicken. Cherry pie would make a mess of my fur.
