Hola kitties! It's time for the monthly Pet Photo Fails Blog Hop and we have many this month. My last post is photo fails; how appropriate. You would not believe how many we have! They are the yuuugest fails you've ever seen. I'm also participating in the Friendly Fill-ins and some stunning art.
We have a lot to do so let's get it started. I think I've picked the worst but each of three shoots had many to chose from. I'm joining the Pet Photo Fails Blog Hop hosted by Miss Cuddlywumps, Paisley and Webster of the Cuddlywumps Cat Chronicles blog. This blog hop takes place on the last Friday of each and every month. Everyone has an occasional photo fail so you should join in the fun.
This first shot was from a July 1 shoot. TW wanted a pic for our "I am a Patriot" post. She set everything up just right. When she loaded the pics, she discovered the camera wasn't set to Automatic; it was on Program. Ack! Four pics and one was worse than the next one. For the post I had her photoshop my paws over the dark blob in the pic, which came out well since she darkened my paws a bit. Bet you couldn't tell.
On the 9th, we received a nice summer package from Chewy. I'll admit it would have been nicer if the box contained CAT stuff rather than DOG stuff. (NOTE: if you have an account with Chewy, there's a new "My Pets" category under the account settings. Mine was defaulted to DOG as I bet they all are. Make sure to switch your's to CAT. I'm thinking that's why I received a DOG package.) TW wanted me to pose with the sunglasses. I refused. I was mad I got all DOG stuff but TW told me to be gracious; it's the thought that counts. The thought? Kiss my gray furry [censored]! I can't play with thoughts! This was after she got some pics from behind—more fails—of me sniffing the glasses. I'm outta here!
This last one was from this Wednesday. I thought I was finished with photo shoots since she bailed on the blogging thing. She stated she still needed pics for FB. She took about a billion pics—some with flash—where I'm going nutz over some silvervine powder. Once on my perch, I began eying her menacingly so she grabbed the camera hoping to capture my expression. *CHOMP* I bit down on her. Then I turned and ran. CK: 1, TW: 0.
The Friendly Fill-Ins are hosted each and every week by 15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are underlined and in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. This week it relates to number two?
1. I deserve a gold star for not biting anyone today. I must be slipping. I did bite TW yesterday.
3. The best advice I've ever been given is be yourself. Don't try to copy anybody else. Stay true to your goals and always keep it real.
4. If I had to choose a new first name, it would be Keisha. I'd do away with the Cathy. Sorry Gramma.
I first did my art using PicsArt but it really didn't look like a real painting.
Remembering that TW used to know someone who used sponges as brushes, I decided to sponge over the art a bit and then texturize it to make it look like canvas rather than paper.
It's my entry in The Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to provide a platform for anipal artists to showcase their latest digital, Photoshop and original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into works of art.

2. Right now, I am loving my cube and my new tree. You can always find me in one of those places.

Remember you can follow my Facebook page to see some stunning pics of me and keep up with our happenings. If you're not on FB like my Aunt Pauline, you can still see the posts even though you can't comment.
I didn't bite anyone either even though I had to go to da vet.
ReplyDeleteYou are quite the pretty woofie CK, but don't bark at TW today!
ReplyDeleteYour artwork came out really cool. I love the photo fails blog hop, it's fun.
ReplyDeleteYou better believe we'll be following you on Facebook, CK! You can't escape us that easily. This is such a bittersweet post, CK, but every single part of it is purrfection. Purrs to you!
ReplyDeleteLove your artwork! We got the Chewy dog box, too. But we do have a dog at least. I just checked our Chewy account and we don't have any pets listed. I think I'll add them now. Thanks for letting us know about that. We'll be seeing you on FB!
ReplyDeleteLOL love your photo fails :-)
ReplyDeleteFill-in answer #3 is a great advice! Very important to be yourself.
We don't have FB account so will be seeing your posts :-)
I love your grey fluffy butt photo fails. Don't blame you for not wanting to wear the sunglasses. I would be pretty peed off if I received all dog stuff too. Glad you changed the settings to cat, so hopefully your monthly boxes will be more appropriate!
ReplyDeleteNo bite bites yet? Are you getting a little sweetie in your years, MOL. We love the rear-end shot. Who doesn't love a cat butte. Thz for the advice on our Chewy settings, never knew that. We definitely don't want a "dog" box, ugh. It's all cat things in our household, and a little humans stuff too. Purrs
ReplyDeleteHow, on Earth, did you not bite anyone today? The day's still young, though. Great photo fails! We first learned about fails from you, and now Mom keeps hers in a special file . . . one she constantly forgets about. We did get her to mark the calendar for August, though, so we can hope she'll remember for next month. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteWe love your artwork CK! Those were also some very good foto fails!
ReplyDeleteI can always count on you for some excellent photo fails, CK! I like the first one the best, because I've taken so many photos that look just like it. Thanks for joining in! Your spongified and textured art looks great too :)
ReplyDeleteI love all your fails. They made me smile.
ReplyDeleteLove also love your fill-ins. I'm sure you'll bite someone today. It's pretty early so you have time.
Have a purrfect day and weekend. My best to your peeps. ♥
I'll be watching FB for updates, CK!
ReplyDeleteI don't blame you for being annoyed at getting all dog stuff. I like your art, 2nd is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteThank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. The day is still young, claim your gold star then bite TW. I am sad seeing the words "last post", I hope you are inspired to post sometimes. Great advice on #3. I love your photo fails and I also wondered why we got the dog package, but my niece has a dog so I gave her the bowl and toy. I love your art. Have a nice weekend! XO
ReplyDeleteWhat's the point of living if one doesn't bite?!?! Just kidding. Mostly.
ReplyDeleteThose are great! And I had no idea about the Chewy settings...thanks for letting us know!
ReplyDeleteNice to see you make "oh no's" like the rest of us. Take care CW and TW. Mom will keep an eye on FB and tell us how you doin".
ReplyDeleteYour friends,
Shoko and Tyebe
Oh, CK, very frustrating when they think you're a doggie, I think I would give them all a bitey :D Your artwork is beautiful, I like them both :) Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend :) <3
ReplyDeleteYou always look like a painting to US, CK! Howver we find it hard to believe you looked at your beloved human MENACINGLY! O MI COD...Well it all ended well in a totally fun art piece!
ReplyDeleteGreat fill ins and Oliver says he didn't make it through the day without clawiing anyone. The Male Human is cleaning blood off his jeans as I have my purrsonal assistant type this. Methinks a claw clipping party is in the works for this weekend.

That advice is good. Sort of, "To thine own self be true." We have to be comfortable with who we are and live our lives for us. Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteGreat art and pics!

Your photo fails made us smile ! Nice art ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteYour Photo fails would NOT be fails here...Mom is pretty bad at taking photos. And I must say I LOVE your fill-ins! I have not bitten Mom today but I have had wrestling matches with Kozmo and Ninja (Jo Jo is still in the sofa).
ReplyDeleteI LOVE you art!
You should take this one to one of those printing places that prints canvases!

Love you CK.
ReplyDeleteWe're loving that artwork, CK. And that last shot (where you're outta there) is awesome! :)
ReplyDeleteAny photo with you is never a failure! Gorgeous art work too!
ReplyDeleteJust wanted you to know we're thinking of you and missed your posts this week :)
ReplyDeleteBeing yourself is ALWAYS important. Love the photo effect -they look like they should be hanging in a gallery as in real paintings.
