Let's begin at the beginning.
Guess who is taking a nap in foto #518 from September 2009? Your stunning hostess with the mostest. Please don't tell me TW really typed that! I was taking a nap with my first nip duckie, sent by one of my Twitter admirers. I said I didn't have one and suddenly I had one. I'm placed right between the two cat pillows TW's aunt gave her. Dunno if TW was planning on sitting right there on the sofa but those pillow sayings are so true. Thanks to my Tuna Wuna R'son Kitty for picking this one.
The clowder over at Three Chatty Cats & the Jr. Associates opted to see #1185 from September 2010. TW had just gotten back from one of her local shopping excursions where she disappears for days. [Ed note: Try an hour or two, CK.] I'm snoopervising to see if she bought me anything. Bah! Dishwashing liquid and glue? Don't tell me she was slumming in the dollar stores again. At least she brought generic bags with her so our neighbors in these luxury condos wouldn't know we was poor. How many tablecloths does she have on anyway? No, don't look! Look at me instead! As if I'd scratch the table.
The Friendly Fill-Ins are hosted each and every week by 15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are underlined and in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. This week it kinda relates to number one?
1. I tried silvervine and I liked it. Spitty innerduced me to the evil vine many, many years ago. My first silvervine pillow (above) came all the way from Malaysia. You may have heard that silvervine leads to other, more powerful highs but that's not true. Wheeeeee! *runs in circles around the room* Nope, this kitteh is in complete control.
2. Am I the only one who doesn't like bacon? Most kitties seem to go wild for it. TW offered it to me once or twice and I wouldn't even sniff it. She doesn't really eat it either but once in a while will have a bite of it if it comes with something she orders.
3. Brian and his dad are my heroes. The Frum family saves so many kitties. They feed many of them on their porch, trap them and get them all TNR'ed at their own expense. His entire fur family were either adopted from a shelter or trapped on their porch. Those guys are special. Actually everyone who feeds feral cats, fosters and does the TNR thing are heroes in my book with a special shoutout to Savannah's Mom L and Dad P who do all of the above to help the kitties.
4. If I could eat only one food for the rest of my life, it would be kibble. Just about any kind of grain-free kibble with the exception of Science Diet and Royal Canin is alright by me. I know I'm burning britches saying this but I don't think I'd want to shill for something I wouldn't eat. I did in the past but then again they were more about shelter cats and disaster preparedness. OK, I never ate Science Diet but don't think I did a campaign where I had to.
For my art this week, I used my favorite wild strokes in oil paints to a blurry foto where I'm
It's my entry in The Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to provide a platform for anipal artists to showcase their latest digital, Photoshop and original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into works of art.
Next week I'm going to have an important announcement about Stunning Keisha so stay tuned.
Brian's and Savannah's humans are HEROES! They do amazing work helping kitties in their area.
ReplyDeleteYou're looking as stunning as ever, CK! This here human adores those pillows TW got from her aunt. Thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins, CK! Your answers are always the best of the best. The kitties around here tried silvervine for the first time ever just this past December, and they love it. Toby, a fellow tuxie, especially goes wild for it. You know, none of the kitties around here will eat bacon either, CK. In fact, even this here human doesn't like the taste of bacon. A distant relative once told this human that it was "un-American" to dislike bacon. Anyway, your answer to #3 is absolute purrfection. Oh, and Eddy agrees that dry kibble is the only food you need in life. Purrs, and happy Friday, CK!
ReplyDeleteNational Nap Day - what a wonderful day. We should all take a nap!
ReplyDeleteI love what is said on the pillows from TW's aunt :-)
That's a cute generic bag in the photo we picked. And that is a lot of tablecloths! My cats have never tried bacon. I know Sophie and Woodrow would like it - they eat pretty much anything and everything. Happy napping.
ReplyDeleteCK, we don't have bacon in the house, so we have no idea if any of the cats like it or not! However, Da Boyz will try anything; Manny was licking my salad greens yesterday...
ReplyDeleteI like both photos. DO you still have the nip duckie? Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. My answer for #3 was similar, I admire anyone who helps cats. Silvervine is the best, all my cats would agree. I love your art. Have a nice weekend! XO
ReplyDeleteLove the photos CK and thanks so much for the MeowOut, we all think you're pretty darn special too. Hey, guess what? I don't care for bacon either.
ReplyDeleteWe have the same thing going on over here...two table cloths on the dinning table. What's up with that? And mom doesn't like bacon either. No science diet or royal crap over here either, all those fillers, yuck! Love the art choice this week. It's super cool. It's a must display piece! Purrs
ReplyDeleteYou excel at being your stunning self, CK. No ifs ands and buts - just stunning.
ReplyDeleteHey, don't knock dollar stores until you've tried them! LOL Mudpie has never had bacon either. I rarely ever cook it, just bacon bits on salad. She totally agrees with you on the kibble!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that last photo for sure...beautiful thick oil painting and gorgeous colors.
ReplyDeleteBrian and Madi are MY heroes too.
We love your artwork....you should make some of yours into puzzles....they're fun to do. Who wouldn't want to do a CK puzzle?
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
CK, here’s the truth. We’ve never had bacon. We’ve had ham...and none of us really cared for it.
ReplyDeleteWhat does TNR mean?
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine not taking care of kitties when they come our way. Some folks would ignore them, but how can anyone look in those sweet little faces and turn them away, uncared for?
Have a blessed weekend. :)
Trap, Neuter, Return
DeleteWe love bacon!
ReplyDeleteand
We love Brian and his family!!!
Awesome art, CK! And I love your pics too. I don't eat pigs, so our cats have never tried bacon. I know I think it's kinda icky! :)
ReplyDeleteNap times are the best!
ReplyDeleteMum has always hated bacon even when she used to eat meat (she is vegan now)and I've never had it. I think Granny gave me some once but I turned my nose up at it and walked away. I only like chicken :)
Purrs xx
Athena
We're with you on the bacon ... in fact most hooman foods we don't like. Great fotos CK!
ReplyDeletePurrfect choises of your flashbacks, CK and great artwork too. I'm not a bacon cat either, I prefurr tuna🐟 and I'm always nipped, but Sylvervine gets me into space😸 Pawkisses for a Happy Week ahead🐾😙😻
ReplyDeleteGreat answers. Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteGosh! CK< This week's photo frenzy is stupendous! The pillows ROCK! Spitty introduced Queen Penelope to silvervine...she was kind of mneah... about it, but Kozmo (who is a nip head) is a Silvervine lover too (and he likes Valerian and honey suckle) I kind of like catnip, but have not yet sniffed silvervine.
ReplyDeleteCK your art ROCKS! And Brian, his folks and Savhannah's pawrents are our heroes too!

Nap Day. Now THAT is a special day, indeed. :)
ReplyDeleteYour artwork is da bomb this week, CK!
CK, I think that is my fav painting I've seen EVER! REALLY! I luv the burr-ush strokes and the colors and I luv, of course, that the subject is YOU!
ReplyDeleteI'm not fond of bacon either, so I bet our furr-iends Travis, Angelique and Crockett over at Lone Star Cats think you and I are totally weird! Winks. -Valentine (& Mom) of Noir Kitty Mews
