Chewy.com, of course. TW doesn't want me to eat kibble so I ordered a bag of a new—to me, at least—kibble from Dr. Elsey. Yeah, the same Dr. Elsey who makes the cool litter that's dust-free and doesn't track. Most of my furrends with asthma use Dr. Elsey's litter and recommend it. I innerviewed Dr. Elsey about his litter on my talk show a few years ago. I thought I could get him back on to talk about this kibble but he's booked.
Let me answer the doorbell and see who dares disturb CK. Oh, it's my takeout!! SCORE! I chose the salmon rather than the chicken and they got the order correct—unlike the baker who made TW's birthday cake last week and mucked up the whole order. I couldn't wait to open the bag. I dug into the picture of the salmon on the label. It didn't taste good at all but what was inside smelled nommy.
I'm sure you read the graphic but what does it mean? Dr. Elsey's cleanprotein™ is a high protein kibble—93% of the protein in the salmon is animal-based and 95% in the chicken—for all life cycles. It contains natural ingredients with added vitamins, minerals and other trace nutrients to support a healthy immune system. Not to mention it's grain free. All proteins and 90% of the total ingredients are sourced in the U.S.
If your cat is prone to urinary tract issues, cleanprotein™ would be a good diet for these cats as the high animal based protein provides a natural urine PH of between 6 and 6.4 in cats. That is the ideal PH range to prevent crystal formation. If a cat has Calcium Oxalate stones it is wise to increase water intake by feeding can food. Dr. Elsey’s delivers only 4% energy from carbohydrates which makes it excellent for diabetic cats.
Whoa! The pieces are teeny tiny—just like I like them. If you're going to feed your cat kibble, this is the kind to get.
This food is delish! Now I wish I hadn't stiffed the delivery cat. MOL!
I bet it's delicious... we don't eat kibble here, though.
ReplyDeleteSounds Great! Mom has heard about this but wanted to checkout reviews first before ordering takeout for us. We so appreciate your honesty and love your reviews. We know your peeps treat you like royalty. Purrs

ReplyDeleteGreat review ! Those kibbles sound tasty ! We don't eat kibble, we only get 4 or 5 as treats from time to time. Purrs
ReplyDeleteSounds great! We'll have to look into ordering takeout over here!
ReplyDeleteThat looks yummy! I'm so glad TW is letting you enjoy kibble :)
ReplyDeleteGreat review. I love the photo of you trying to eat the meat off the bag :) I will have to get some of this for my kitties, they like the Dr. Elsey's canned food.XO
ReplyDeleteSounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteMmmm, this sounds promising, CK! You know, the human around here hasn't even gotten our July review foods out of the box yet. She's fired, if you ask us kitties here.
ReplyDeleteWe’re glad it was a hit with you, CK!
ReplyDeleteSmall kibbles? Good for ya? And available via takeout?! That sounds pretty awesome to us, CK!
ReplyDeleteHello, my beautiful girl. It sends shivers down my spine to see you nuzzling into your bowl like that....The Human wishes I would eat more wet food too, but I do like my kibbles. I eat Royal Canin kibbles, but these do sound nommy. And I like little kibbles too. I might make her order me some. XOXOXO
ReplyDeleteWe don't get much kibble either but that one we do get and it's okay for diabetic kitties like Sister Zoe. It is pretty yummy!
ReplyDeleteI knew it wouldn't take long before you got settled in at your new place. Wow, you are a lucky kitty if you get special takeout deliveries once a week! I wish I could eat salmon noms, but Mom says I'm allergic to it. Ho hum - she's no fun. Winky winks. -Valentine (& Mom) of Noir Kitty Mews
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like super Take-out to us!!
