TW's Surprise

Hola kitties. Per usual, I'm gonna go hopping around the blogosphere today—fotos, flashbacks, fill-ins, art enough to please everyone. You down with that? TW got a surprise when we picked our Foto Frenzy numbers.

TW's Surprise

TW—per usual and with my permission—let Random dot org pick a number. #1120 came up. She searched and searched to see which of you guys wanted to see it. Surprise! Apparently either no one actually picked it or TW's record-keeping leaves a lot to be desired. Since it's such a great shot, we decided to use it anyhoo. Let me know if you chose it so I can give you a shout out. Maybe someone picked an 11/20 birthday or something.

TW's Surprise

#1120 from June 2010 was taken on a dark and stormless night. I was looking for night birds out the window in TW's room. I may have even woken up in the middle of the night cos I heard action outside. Perhaps the CK Tour bus was passing by and I wanted to wave to my fans. They come from all over to try and catch a glimpse of their idol—Me. Yo, peeps, thanks for coming by! Of course, TW had to get up too and try to spoil my fun. BTW, I don't bother the cord from the big orange rock. I don't want that puppy falling on me.

TW's Surprise

Eastside Cats chose #412 taken around June 2007 which finds me asleep on the futon sofa. I'd forgotten what it looked like underneath all the papers and clutter TW has piled on it some dozen years later. Don't laugh but the peeps bought it in case someone wanted to sleep over. As if. The cover of the futon is that cool native pattern you see on the pillow. Aunt Pauline gave TW the butterfly throw that I'm laying on. I loved that pink feather wand toy so much I used to drag it around the condo all night crying. TW finally ditched it. When she finally found it, moths had devoured it. Either that or it biodegraded. Such a shame. Oh, that gray somewhat blurry creature in the center is The Cat.

TW's Surprise

The Friendly Fill-Ins are hosted each and every week by 15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the answers. My answers are underlined and in italics. Each week my image relates to one of the fill-ins. This week it kinda relates to number one since it's hot and summery.

1. When it is hot, I sleep all day and don't eat much. I'm not a cat who enjoys hot weather at all. I dunno how Nicky and the cats who came before me coped in the old house without ac. TW has a conundrum. If she keeps the ac at 74, I'm too hot; if she drops it to 72, I'm more comfortable but the ac dries me out and then my asthma attacks me.

2. I am looking forward to Pop going back to work so it cools off just a bit this month.

3. The theme song of my life would be "Wild Thing." I could go for something like "You Are So Beautiful," but I still have that wild aka feral streak in me.

4. There is no such thing as a bad cat. There are only bad humans.

TW's Surprise

For my art this week, I made a Photoshop painting. I used the smudge stick and then the texturizer. I finished by pawtographing it. What do you think? Yea or nay? I think it's gonna look super in my gallery. It's my entry in The Caturday Art blog hop which is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to provide a platform for anipal artists to showcase their latest digital, Photoshop and original art. No talent? No problemo. There are hundreds of one-click apps for desktop or mobile devices that will turn your photos into works of art.

CK, we love that peek-a-boo shot of you in the blinds! Your gazing eye is simply stunning. And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! Mother Nature really needs to get her act together, because this heat is not appreciated. Also, I now have "Wild Thing" stuck in my head, and I'm totally okay with that. We hope you have a cool and cozy Friday!

We SO agree with Number 4! The photo of you peeking out from behind the blinds is very cute.

We have those same vertical blinds! Years ago, my landlady offered to switch them out for the horizontal ones and I told her that would be a bad idea (Bear's chewed the ends of the horizontal blinds off so he has an easy entrance and exit to the window). Let's just say, we'll never get our deposit back as it is!

1120 is a fabulous shot! The heat this week has been a nightmare. Mudpie practically set up an apartment in the basement. Today is cooler and she's SO much happier.

Has your human thought about blowing a fan across a bowl of water to help keep you from getting too dried out. Kind of like a modified Swamp Cooler. Great answers. Have a blessed week.

Great photos, CK! I had no idea there was a tour bus that went specifically to your place. Cool! Paisley used to have a feather toy that she dragged around all the time. I threw it away when all the fun stuff had fallen out and it was just a stick. Love your fill-ins and art too.! :)
