Getting Ready for Secret Paws

Ho ho ho and mistletoe—and presents to little kitties! Some of you reading this might think that a bunch of blogging cats would be in competition with each other. Nothing could be further from the truth. Our humans get together at blogging conferences and are Facebook friends. They are constantly talking behind our backs. We help each other with blogging or personal problems. Years ago the Cat Blogosphere started the tradition of exchanging Secret Paws gifts which brings us even closer together.

Secret Paws is, of course, secret. We sign up not knowing who we'll be sending to or receiving from. TW started shopping for our Secret Paws gifts months ago—before we even knew who we'd be sending to. That was a very bad move on her part. Sometimes coordinator Mom Paula of Sweet Purrfections pairs us with a cat blog we're not familiar with and sometimes a cat or family of cats so special those generic gifts won't do. That was the case a few year's back when I was paired with my BFF Savvy as well as our match this year.

When we got the email with our match, I grabbed TW's credit card and started making some new purchases. Most of what we had wouldn't do. Here I come—Amazon! Etsy! Animal Rescue Site!  Since I follow that cat blog, I needed something special.

TW just might be the worst gift wrapper in the world. She looks like she does it in her sleep. Heh heh. I apologize in advance for that to the cat or cats who receive our package. I also might have deliberately left some stuff out of the package. You didn't hear that, TW. Monday we trusted this all important package to the USPS. I think I may be the only cat to ever utter that phrase or to trust anything to the USPS.

There's a lot of good stuff in that stocking. Trust me.

BTW, I already received my Secret Paws' package and can't wait to open it. I know who it's from but I'm not saying. You'll have to wait until I open it. Heh heh.
