Festive Flashback Friday

Fotos roasting on an open fire. Keisha nipping at your nose. Or something like that. I like that nipping part. Coindidink that todays Flashback Friday Foto Frenzy features two Christmas fotos? Actually no. I've been saving them all year—not that they're so great but they were picked by you, my loyal readers and they're from Christmases past.

Festive Flashback Friday

Pop is photobombing me in #1355, which was chosen by Shoko and Kali from Canadian Cats. This was from Christmas 2010. I'm snoopervising Pop as he puts the lights on Fraser. Poor Fraser met a cruel fate that year. I still shudder when I read about it. Hey, why is TW laughing? That was no laughing matter! I like to remember him the way he is here. Fresh and green and alive. Hey Pop, don'tcha think that spot has enough lights. The front needs more attention and lights.

Festive Flashback Friday

Foto #2010 is an abomimation! There is so much clutter, it hurts my eyes. Much like the foto above, you have to look to even find me. TW wasn't sure we should run #2010 from Christmas 2011 and selected by Maxwell, brother of Faraday and Allie, Together they blog as A Tonk's Tail. TW may have sat on this one for a year or two—that is, if she could find room on the couch. Anyhoo, to divert your eyes a bit, our garland is all lit up AND we have some snow globes on display. This was before we read about how dangerous they were to kitties. Enough about me and now on to something more important—even MORE about me!

Festive Flashback Friday

The Friendly Fill-Ins are hosted each and every week by 15andmeowing and McGuffy's Reader. They make up the fill-ins and I make up the answers. TW may answer the fill-ins differently and sometimes Today I share a couple of TW's answers along with my own.

1. I can't TW couldn't wait to see Aunt Pauline open my our gift to him/her. TW had been shopping at the Bryant Park Christmas fair with Aunt Pauline, who was looking for a particular ornament for her critters Christmas tree. All the vendors had unusual ornaments but none had the one she was looking for—a meerkat. She told TW they didn't exist but TW took that as a challenge. She knew exactly where she would find one—Etsy. They have everything. Sure enough they had a few different ones so she picked the one she thought was nicest. The look on Aunt Pauline's face when she opened it warmed TW's heart. We are so thrilled that we were able to make Aunt Pauline so happy.

2. I have had the same Tunnel of Pain for about eight years. TW bought it from my furrend Baby Patches' online shop Nip and Bones. All the Twitter anipals loved their tunnels so TW determined I should have one. Pop thought she was wasting her money cos I would never use it. It would be a waste of space. TW opened the tunnel on Christmas morning and I wasted no time zooming through it. I love tunnels so much I now have one set up in our hall. As TW says, "all roads lead through my tunnels." *Of course TW picked the wrong tunnel for the graphic above.

3. I would not mind if Santa were to bring me and all my cat furrends good health through the coming year. There's been too many cats being welcomed to the Rainbow Bridge the past few years and even more being diagnosed with stuff that doesn't sound good. On a selfish note, I wish Santa would bring me and the peeps a safer place to live where we wouldn't be awakened every Sunday morning by firemen roaming our hallway. Last week it wasn't carbon monoxide. They were called to investigate an odor of smoke. We figured it was prolly someone burning incense. Enough already!

4. On Christmas Eve, I always DJ at the Catmus Eve Twitter pawty which benefits Black Cat Rescue. It's a great way for people who have no place to spend Catmus Eve to get together with furrends without having to leave the house. I think I might be DJing early this year—10pm rather than 11. You can find out more bout Catmus Eve here. The peeps' Christmas Eve tradition ended a few years ago. They loved to go out and look at all the decorated houses in da 'hood. Some neighbors were extremely creative, others not so much and still others were scrooges. I shouldn't say that since many people celebrate other holidays and have their own traditions which don't include light-up decorations all over the front of their house.

Sorry, I've gone on so long with the fill-in answers but I have to send concatulations to Edie C. who won the PetFusion 3-sided cat scratching post from Chewy. Edie is such a good friend to many of the cat blogs.

Stay tuned cos you don't want to miss tomorrow's post when I share my 2017 Christmas e-card.
