Exacting Some Overdo Revenge

I had the peeps worried. On Sunday, I didn't eat much breakfast and didn't touch my gut rot lunch at all. They went grocery shopping and brought home a rotisserie chick-hen. I jumped on the table and started rubbing on everyone and everything. I wanted in on the action. TW made a comment which floored me literally.

She said she wouldn't give me chick-hen cos I didn't touch my lunch. What the Hell-o Kitty? Then added she paid good money for a pouch of the gut rot and she wasn't gonna throw out the entire pouch. Pop fed me a few scraps of his chick-hen and then I came over to TW. I looked at her and dared her not to feed me. Do you know what she had the onions to do? She showed me a scrap and then dropped it into my gut rot. She ruined it. I wasn't gonna reach in there to fish the chick-hen out. I walked away.

Dinner did't go much better. I ate about half a can of FF and didn't much want my midnight snack.

Fast forward to Monday morning. After a lick or two of my FF breakfast, I left it. TW went back to bed when suddenly she heard me scream out. Once. Then twice. She jumped up in a hurry and ran into the hall where I was gurgling and retching. She knew that sound. After a minute, I straightened up and marched into Pop's room.

TW looked for the bomit but found nothing. There was a tiny bit of liquid on the rug. She panicked then she panicked Pop. What if I had a hairball caught in my tummy that wouldn't come out? What if … what if …

Pop was torn. Should he leave to go to work when I might need an urgent trip to Dr. D.? TW says he always runs out when we need him but he has no choice. Someone has to earn the green papers.

Hours later, she poured herself out of bed and went right to the computer. I hopped up on Pop's bed rather than bugging her for lunch. When I decided I felt better and wanted lunch, she followed me inside. Only then did she see I had given birth to a three-inch hairball and that's why I screamed.

I do get a lot of hairballs for a medium-haired cat who gets FURminated every other day. This summer I've produced four. In fact, I get more now then I used to before being FURminated so often. That leaves the question: does the FURminator break off my furs or leave them brittle so they break when I groom myself?

You can see why the peeps have trouble finding my hairballs. They
blend in perfectly with the rug. I added the arrow in case you
have
trouble locating my present. TW wishes I would point it out to them.

I exacted my revenge for them leaving me last week AND for not getting chick-hen. Don't you think so? We also found out that Wellness Hairball formula kibble works for me. TW had filled my kibble dish Sunday night so I'd eat something and you can see it mixed with my hairball.

On the one paw, I know some of you are scratching your heads saying that TW makes a big deal out of everything but my research has shown that most cat staff reacts the same way. How about your's?

  1. The more kitties get brushed, the more they seem to hack up hairballs sometimes. My human theorizes that it's because brushing (or Furminating) pulls up a lot of loose fur, but humans don't always get it all, so it's left for us kitties to lick off... and hack up later. I hope you're feeling better!

  2. Wow, dat's an impressive hairball. I rarely get em, but I have super short hair. Angelique gets em pretty often and she gets brushed most everyday.

  3. Whoa, that is a giant hairball. Kudos for hiding it so well on the rug.

  4. CK, I've been in the same place as your hoomin; I bought that food, now you cats eat it! However, over time, I stop caring about that stoopey can of food, and try to get some chow into my kitties! Was paying close to $2 a can, now feeding $.79 stuff from Trader Joe's. The best stuff? Nope, but getting calories into Chuck is my #1 priority right now. May even buy some BFF OMG in packets that a few bloggers have mentioned recently, just to try. Chuck eats wee bits, then walks away. He's not sitting down to eat a whole meal as he used to. So, we are with you, CK, TW and Pop!

  5. Oh I'm glad you got to give birth to that huge hairball! And it does blend in the carpet very well :-) I tend to overreact to everything, so totally understand TW making big deal out of it :-)

  6. You know exactly how to do it up right CK,

  7. Congratulations on hacking that hairball up! I wonder why you do have so many despite being furminated so often. I always panic when a cat doesn't want to eat, especially Phoebe who has kidney disease

  8. My Mommy is definitely a worry wart...but she says the cats that came before me made her that way. Angel Truffles was a hairball queen too for a short-haired cat. I've probably only had 2 in the 2 years I've lived here! --Mudpie

  9. Summer's human may have a point. When Ashton gets brushed, there's always a lot of loose hair around that the head peep doesn't manage to collect, so that means more fur for us to eat and then hairball back up. Brushing is the right thing to do, but it it might be able to backfire.

  10. I don't brush the Farm cats. With five of them someone is always haucking up a hairball. And Sherpa has a sensitive tummy so he tosses his stomach at the drop of a hat. Sometimes I get tired of cleaning up the hauck

  11. That is one impressive hairball, CK. TW should have given you some chicken. Then maybe she wouldn't be cleaning that thing up.

  13. Wow! That was quite the way to show TW who is boss. It takes quite the kitty to produce hairballs like that. I hope for her sake that TW give you some of that delicious chick-hen next time. :)

  14. Oh wow, that's one way to get revenge! I cleaned up some hairballs the other day, too. Not sure which kitty left them for me.

  15. Revenge can be fun to watch sometimes. The day after Lexy went to the vet she hocked up a big hairball on Mommy's slippers. It would have been more fun to watch her step in it. MOL
