I usually don't frame my art until
Of course I had to show a painting of myself.
I used a Photoshop action on the painting above, then added a canvas texture.
No, I couldn't leave well enough alone. I thought WWKBD? What would the Kitties Blue do? They would add on to make my stunningness even more pawsome. I added bokeh and used the darken mode and, you know, I like it! As always you can biggify the art images by clicking on them.
Now that you've ogled my art, I wanted to give you the 411 on Helen. She's a pretty female calico who lost most of her sight to an eye infection but she can see shapes within a few feet. She's skittish in unfamiliar places but once she's comfortable she loves to be petted and scratched. She gets along with other cats, although she's so eager to make friends other cats tend to get defensive. The tough hand she was dealt doesn't bring her down; in fact, she sleeps at the top of the cat condo. In spite of her disability she gets along fine once she learns her surroundings. She deserves a forever family who accepts her and loves her.

I think the painting will look just purrfect in Helen's new furrever home, CK. You did a great job on all of your artwork and to bring notice on the shelters too. Good Luck to all the animals to find a furrever home soon :) Pawkisses for a wonderful Caturday :) <3

Yes, beautiful artwork indeed. I sure hope every one of us who needs homes gets them some day soon. I lucked out, but there are way too many who don't. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteI am always a sucker for bokeh, so I think you art is terrific! Your painting of Helen is lovely too. Poor girl, to wait so long for a home. Maybe this weekend she'll meet her special someone. :)
ReplyDeleteYour art and your models are wonderful CK and we hope many shelters get cleared out!
ReplyDeleteLove your art CK. The Kitties Blue would add on and make the picture even more gorgeous...just like you did.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful art of you and Helen. I like the bokeh effect. I hope thus beauty gets her forever home today. How sad she has been at the shelter for so long. XO

Nice art, CK! And we sure hope a lot of shelters were cleared today.
ReplyDeleteI hope Helen finds a perfect home. It saddens me that she's been in the shelter for so long. Her vision issues really shouldn't be a problem for anyone who knows that these special kitties are adaptable and make wonderful companions.
ReplyDeleteHelen looks lovely and I hope she doesn't have to wait much longer for her home. Your artwork is lovely too.
ReplyDeleteDear Ms CK, your art is wonderful! Ms Helen is furry beautiful! I am surprised that she does not have a forever home. Finding a forever home is very difficult. I thought I would spend the rest of my days in a small barren room, but now I have a townhouse (and siblings). I am very happy (except for the horrible dog!)
ReplyDeleteYes I bite HARD!!! my Mommy, who has lots of cats who have bitten, says I bite the hardest, I leave deep wounds and bruises and she has gone through a bottle of hydrogen peroxide and I am getting more aggressive. It is something we are going to have to work on.

I heard that the shelter I foster for had a terrific Saturday. Haven't heard about the Sunday numbers yet, but what a great promotion!
