Eleventy billion years ago, I received the Sunshine Blogger Award here and here and here when the badge, format and rules were different. This "award" is meant to shed light on those fellow bloggers whose positivity and creativity you admire. It has come outta the crypt and reared it's ugly little head again in time for Halloween. I've been nominated for the 2016 version by the Four-Legged Furballs. Mr. Google should note that I used no-follow links in this paragraph. Seeing how everyone should admire my creativity and positivity, I can't believe every kitten hasn't nominated me so I thank them for this prestigious award!
There are rules for this but I don't follow no stinkin' rules. They never seem to apply to me anyway. Now for those "rules." I thanked the blog that nominated me and added a no-follow link to their blog. (See above.) I might answer the 11 questions sent by the person who nominated me. I won't be nominating 11 other bloggers, adding their links and asking them 11 new questions cos it's too much work and I don't want to offend anyone. That saves me the trouble of notifying the bloggers I have nominated. If I had I would have had to warn them to pass along the sunshine to 11 other unsuspecting furrends! If they didn't within 48 hours of receiving my comment, their fur would turn green and fall out. Not to mention, I'd stop following them. HAH!
- I have three stuffies; two of which are named after TW's dead cats. TW has lived with five cats, including myself, but not all at the same time. She tried to live with another one who didn't want to be in the house. Also she entertained the notion of adopting a sisfur for me at one time.
- We mostly blog for humor but I think we really like the Caturday Art Blog Hop. The Pet Blogger Bloopers Round-up, which is next week, is a close second.
- I don't got a favorite book and TW doesn't read books anymore since I have her reading blogs. Her fave books growing up were "Jenny Lind and Her Listening Cat" and "Charlotte's Web," both of which she still has copies. As an adult, when she did read, she used to like books like "Sybil" and "Three Faces of Eve."
- I'd like a name more closely associated with my roots like Tamika although that might not sound as good with my middle name Keisha so I'll have to rethink that.
- Both TW and I are definitely night owls.
- Christmas, of course. TW doesn't always like Christmas since she doesn't have the money she used to for presents. She gets to see family and the condo is decorated festively.
- My dream job is stay-at-home cat although I really liked when I was making money as a blogger. I'd like to review food, cat furniture and toys for money. TW loved working in publishing; she just didn't like the idiots she was working for at the end or the commute. She didn't even mind the subject matter but would have really loved to work for a sports or music 'zine.
- I don't have any and I like it that way. I was adopted with another cat but I returned her and that cat TW brought in here lasted a couple of hours before I tried to kill her.
- Greenies SmartBites and Temptations even though TW feels the need to sing songs by the Temptations whenever she gives them to me. TW loves good chocolate but her fave junk candy is Milky Way Midnights. She used to like KitKats but she's boycotting Hershey's. Something about them not letting real Cadbury into this country.
- Gut rot. Actually it would have to be that stuff with the coconut milk that TW tried to feed me. I wouldn't go near it except to lick it for the review. Pop hates anything in a milky sauce too.
- Why would I call my Pop soda?? I don't get the question. TW tells me it's definitely soda or seltzer cos that's what they drink.
Those are my answers and I thank Four-Legged FurBalls for axing me. As a bonus, cos the nominating stops here, I don't have to think of 11 more questions. I'm just too smart for my own good. And, yeah, TW is holding up the wrong kind of Greenies in the image above cos it's so hard to get good help these days.
This is in no way intended to offend Four-Legged Furballs; it's to poke fun at these awards which are kinda like chain letters except that they don't end with threats.
Wow, you actually answered all the questions - I'm pretty amazed, CK! Sometimes these awards are really an awful lot of work.
ReplyDeleteConcats on your Sunshine Award AND on your answers, CK. It's always nice to know our furriends a little bit better. We had a MOL on your rules session...we can so relate to that. When we started our blog, Granny was very disappointed and very sad that about no-one responded to our blog, when she was spreading her -deserved awards-...MOL... Now she knows better, but it took some time... Pawkisses for a Happy Day :) <3
ReplyDeleteMy assistant's dream is to be a stay at home cat, too!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on you award! I love your answer for question # 11 :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of CK info there. Glad to know all of it
ReplyDeleteCK, I'm glad you took the time to answer the questions because it's always so fun to learn more about fellow bloggers and cats!
ReplyDeleteGlogirly wants to be a stay at home cat too. But I don't want her getting any ideas when it comes to my litter box. ;)
ReplyDeleteLove your answers, CK! ...er, Tamika!

ReplyDeleteShoko and Kali
Well no new news with your answers but then BFGFs ought to know all that stuff about each other, right? And we don't do awards anymore cuz they just consumed a ton of time.
ReplyDeleteYou ALWAYS crack me up!!!!! Loved this (as I KNEW I would), I am still laughing at the "two stuffies that are named after dead cats", only YOU could say that and crack me up!! Publishing UGH!!!!! We both deserve a medal lasting all those years, don't we? You KNOW I greatly admire you too!! xoxoxoxo catchatwithcarenandcody
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your answers, but then I should do because it is nice to find out more about you. My mum always breathes a sigh of relief when she reads an award post and we haven't been nominated.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you answered the questions anyway ... I love to learn more about my favorite friends :) You are one of a kind CK ... and I mean that as a compliment.
ReplyDeleteGood answers you two and congrats on the award! You always bring sunshine into our lives!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your award, you deserve it :) And I like that you changed the rules.

Congrats on the award...again...CK. We liked reading your answers. We think we got the award too. It may take us a long time before we can muster up some answers.
ReplyDeleteYeah for the award! =)
ReplyDeleteTHANK COD you did not send them to me! These awards are just so fraught with good will and guilt--I can't handle all that. I *did* answer 11 questions that Nellie put on her blog but I answered them in the comments section of her blog, ha ha ha! I'm sleepin' on one blue pillow right now, listening to what is surely the Giants' last game. Just sayin'. In case, you know, you weren't busy or anything....
ReplyDelete"Your human must like pics of your backside. MOL!"
ReplyDeleteWell, it *is* Tocktober. Okay--I abandoned the Blue Pillow and am waiting on the Bed!
Know CK I hadn't thought of it but you're right those award are like chain letters! We think you did a fine job with your answers!!!

Great job adjusting all the answers to a cat's POV! Sadly, I fear Mudpie would kill a sibling as well :(
ReplyDeleteThose are some awesome answers, CK, especially the one about your Pop! :D
ReplyDeleteSeriously, though, congrats on your award. We loved learning more about you!
This is why you make us smile, CK. You're a clever, no-rules kind of girl, and we like it! Great answers, by the way, and we really did enjoy learning more about you. Purrs to you!
