What’s a Pawty Without Food? #10CK

Yesterday on #10CK, I told you about a new whisker-friendly cat food bowl; today I’m gonna help you fill it up. I’m celebrating my 10th Gotcha Day with some pawsome giveaways, provided by some pawsome sponsors.  My 10th Gotcha Day is January 29 so make sure to keep those cards and gifts coming.

May 11, 2013, will forever be known as the day this little ghetto kitteh first tried Taste of the Wild  kibble. I’d won a magnet from Mariodacat at #Chilipawty. In jest, I told him I already had a Mario magnet so he sent me a pawsome care package. In the package, he included a sample package of Taste of the Wild Rocky Mountain kibble. In 2005, I wasn’t even dreaming that someday I’d be eating healthy “hippie” food. We now join Part 5 of my Gotcha story.

I was in the car with another towel over me and I was once again screaming the songs of my people. The woman kept trying to reassure us that we were safe. She said she was taking us cats to a place called Hillsborough that seemed to be a coupla hunnert miles away. We drove and drove and I wailed and wailed.

When we finally got there, I thought I recognized some familiar faces but I wasn’t sure. It seemed like months since I’d seen any of the Alleys. Mahalo finally spoke up. “I is glad youse safe. We didn’t know where youse disappeared too.” “Where’s Tuna?” I managed to rasp though my voice was hoarse from screaming all through the long ride.

“Heh heh,” Mahalo laughed. “Did youse really tink bars could hold Tuna? He busted outta that place. As soon as they opened his carrier at the evil-smelling place, he was gone like a shot. Hoinia picked him up and drove him back to da hood.”

“But what about you?” I axed. “I’ll be singing falsetto now,” Mahalo said. “don’t worry about this place. Dey feed you pretty good and pretty regularly. At night they let us outta da cages so we should start tinking of an escape route."

A different woman came in and looked at me. “You’re a pretty little kitten. We’ll call you Kittee,” she announced. “After you eat and calm down, we’ll get some photos to put online. How does that sound?” I didn’t know what photos were so I hissed at her.

That was October, 2005. My mug shot went up on the interwebs. Was anyone really gonna see it and spring me?

#10CK Giveaway #5

Disclaimer: Chewy.com is sponsoring today’s giveaway. I received no compensation in return for this post.

I’ll admit that TW rarely buys me kibble. I don’t eat that much so I mostly eat food that I’ve won or from campaigns I participate in. I do eat most of the foods I blog about. There’s one big exception which I won’t discuss here and now. Frankly free food tastes the best. I’ll eat one until I get another campaign and then the strays get the older food.  I rarely finish a bag of kibble. The only kibble TW has actually sprang for is Taste of the Wild Rocky Mountain formula. Let me mention again I don’t get much kibble, contrary to what you may see on this blog. I usually pose with kibble cos TW knows I’ll eat it and not walk away. On the other paw, I’m very picky about wet foods.

Right now, the feral cats are enjoying both Taste of the Wild kibble and wet food. I’ll bet it’s the first healthy food they’ve ever eaten. Now you can try it too. Chewy.com has generously agreed as part of #10CK to send a 5-lb bag of Taste of the Wild Rocky Mountain dry cat food with real roasted venison and smoked salmon to one of my readers. This was the first grain-free food I’d ever tried. In addition, it contains probiotics, antioxidants and omega fatty acids cos you know how CK likes shiny, healthy furs.
