At the beginning of 2013, I reviewed a blanket I won from Colorado Catnip Toy’s Etsy shop. Four years later, I’m still loving on the blankie, which you can also call a quilt if you’d like. In the image above, I’m laying in my Colorado Catnip bed, pointing to their blankie. Today as part of #10CK, I’m gonna give you the chance to win one of their stunning blankies.
We innerrupt this important blog post to bring you Part 6 of my Gotcha story. You can also read Part One, Two, Three, Four and Five and enter the corresponding giveaways.
Mahalo and I plotted but we couldn’t figure out how to bust that place. If only Tuna was here; he’d know. One day someone came in and pointed at me. The shelter lady told her I was feral and wasn’t available yet for adoption. I saw my way out. I began washing my furs seductively. The new lady took me home.
I tried to escape from that lady’s place over and over. I bit her and she hit me and locked me in a room. Then I stole her phone to try to call Tuna. The next day I was back in Hillsborough. The days in the slammer turned into weeks and then into months. To me it felt more like a decade. Eventually, Mahalo went to an adoption event and didn’t come back. They had events in Hoboken once a month. Finally in January I heard through the grapevine that someone had filled out papers for me and I would be going to Hoboken for the adoption day. I wondered if this was the real thing or if they’d jilt me too. I was so over this place.
The day of my big showing, I wouldn’t get into the carrier. I snapped and bit at any hands that tried to coax me out of my cage. Needless to say we arrived in Hoboken fashionably late. It began at noon and we came in around 3 pm. I noticed Ashanti was there, positioned right near the entrance. She gave me ‘tude and I cursed her under my breath. I eyed the humans in the room suspiciously. There was R., the woman who pulled me from the first jail and a couple of couples. Did either of them fill out the papers for me? Who would be paying my bail?
Read the thrilling conclusion tomorrow.
#10CK Giveaway 6
Disclaimer: Colorado Catnip Toys is sponsoring today’s giveaway. I received no compensation in return for this post or my honest opinion.
When I contacted Jana from Colorado Catnip Toys, about a giveaway she responded immediately. We chose a quilt which will match anycat or woofies furs. (Yes, small woofies can enjoy them too.) Not only is it a comfy place to lay your head but a fashion accessory. You won’t mind being photographed on this blankie.
Time for the 411 so you know that you’re getting a quality product. Jana Belcher first learned to sew from her mother. She started out making doll’s clothes but soon realized she could make toys for her cats that they would enjoy better than store-boughten ones.
All bedding is handmade from cotton fabric, organic catnip and ribbon. The blankets measure 21 x 21 inches and are machine washable. TW has washed mine lots and it still looks gorgeous. This quilt can go from the sofa to a PTU or car so cats (or dogs) that travel can have the comforts of the smells of home. Each quilt comes with a toy filled with organic catnip attached by a large button. Dog owners can easily remove the toy and button and
I’m not a cat that normally goes wild over the nip but as soon as TW took my Colorado Catnip quilt from the envelope, I started bunnykicking it.
If you have something in mind that you don’t see in her shop, just shoot her a note cos special orders are always welcome. Her Etsy shop has been open since 2006. They expanded their line to include round beds and fish-shaped mats and puffy quilts for making biscuits.
Below are two images of the Colorado Catnip Toys blanket that I’ll be giving away. It’s neutral shades go with every cat’s (or small dog’s) furs whether they be black, white, orange, tortie, calico or tabby gray.

ReplyDeleteYou sure have a lot of great items for your 10 days of giveaways.
ReplyDeleteEach of my three cats acts differently with catnip. My senior Maine Coon, Koneko, is already cuddly and just gets more cuddly. My super friendly girl, Moko, gets a bit mean (not really in a bad way). Our youngest and most energetic cat, Arata, actually gets playful and then calm. This would be great for all of them.
ReplyDeleteWe love a cozy blankie, that's for sure!

ReplyDeleteMy Clove has a fat tail and is ready to join you to hunt down the evil lady who hit you, so you both can use her as a scratching post to sharpen your claws on. Clove sympathizes as she too was mistreated by an evil human before she was rescued and took over supervision of our family. You are truly stunning sweetie- inside and out. 💜
