You Can’t Be Too Rich, Too Floofy or …

… have too many Skinneeez shmousy toys! #10CK continues with another pawsome giveaway. I’ll be giving away over $175 worth of prizes before the end of the month to celebrate my 10th Gotcha Day on January 29. All items are CK-tested favorites of mine.

You Can’t Be Too Rich, Too Floofy or … #sponsored #giveaway

Our story continues.

The tabby was Tuna R’son Kitty and that’s how this kitteh became a member of the notorious Alleys feline street gang. We thought our only challenges were to keep our distance from the po po and to free our territory of the rival gang, the Toms. No cats wanted to mess wid us. We was bad.

We’d hustle on the streets for some eats. Enrique—don’t call him Henry—was good at liberating meat from the corner bodega. When we needed a few bucks, we’d sell some bad nip that could kill you. Our specialty was burning out the Toms wherever they hid. They feared Tuna.

So we wuz patrolling; looking out for Toms and some food. Normally we’d knock over a delivery guy for some Chinese food but they’d all been warned not to deliver in our hood. I wanted some fried mice badly.

“Hey, Tuna, looka! Someone left us some noms!” It wasn’t fried mice but I was hungry. It wasn’t unusual for some good Samaritan to feed the local strays. With Jamal looking out to make sure this wasn’t an ambush, we started to chow down. Then we heard Jamal growl and saw him run. “Yo, Tuna, are we moving?” We were.

to be continued Saturday

#10CK GIVEAWAY 2

Disclaimer: I was provided with the item to give away but that didn’t influence anything about this post. I got nothing for myself.

At the beginning of the post was a teaser about Skinneeez shmousies and now thanks to Chewy.com, one of my readers is gonna win one.

You Can’t Be Too Rich, Too Floofy or … #sponsored #giveaway

One of the first toys I got that wasn’t a hand-me-down was a Skinneeez shmousy and we became inseparable. I would fling it up in the air and toss it around all the time. In fact to this very day before Pop goes to work, he’ll toss it up in the air and I’ll catch it, bat it around and then wait for him to throw it again. That shmousy has taken so much abuse. It’s tried to hide from me but Pop always finds him. At one time, TW tried to buy me some knockoffs but I knew the difference.

The Ethical Pet Skinneeez Mouse with Catnip Toy is stuffing free and comes in brown or grey.

One Stunning Keisha reader will win a Skinneeez shmousy toy courtesy Chewy. You can enter for yourself or for a U.S. shelter. All you have to do is fill out the Rafflecopter. No purchase necessary. Giveaway is open to 18 and over U.S. residents only. Void where prohibited. Giveaway will run from January 21, 2016 and will end January 28, 2016, at 11:59pm ET. One winner will be randomly selected by Rafflecopter and notified via email. The winner will have 48 hours to claim their prize; failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the prize. To allow as many as possible to win during #10CK, prizes will be limited to one per address. Capiche? Good luck!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Don’t forget you could also win Weruva Natural Litter made with Hinoki Wood and Green Tea and either The Gift of Magic or The Bastet Trilogy. Thanks for all my sponsors for making #10CK happen.

  1. Your story is exciting but very scary. I am glad I didn't have to survive on the streets. Me and Eric were born in a barn with young bulls, but we had to be taken to our home quickly because a marauding tom used to kill any baby kitties he came across.

  2. Laila sure can relate to living on the streets as a tiny baby kitteh.

  4. Our Rufus was a street kitty but he wasn't very good at foraging and fighting. CK, glad you ended up with a cushy home. Can't wait to hear how you were gotcha-ed.

  9. oh my goodness! Your story is gettin' scary! But... Wait just a cotton pickin' second.. SATURDAY?!?! What you mean we gotta wait til Saturday to hear more???? Yer killin' me, smalls.... No fair!
We are so getting in on this contest! One of Cashmere's favorite toys, and I don't know why.. is a flattened mousie. It looks like it has no stuffing, but it used to be puffy.. She loves to toss it around! So this sounds like something she'd like to try!
You know what occurred to me, Leo and the girls were born feral too, but they were rural ferals, not urban like you, I'm betting that has a lot to do with the personalities and the difference in the toughness factor, ya think? lol

  17. I really like your story CK. I too come from the streets and vaguely remember the street gangs. My momma didn't belong to a gang, she was a loner. She didn't want us to be influenced by a gang so she got us what we needed. The gang lifestyle sounds hard.

Thank goodness you are no longer in this lifestyle.
