Geisha Keisha in the Zen Garden #giveaway
I don’t have a litter box; I have a Zen garden. Yep, Weruva’s new natural cat litter made from Hinoki wood and green tea has transformed my box into a Zen garden. TW loves how this litter smells. She also loves green tea. Lemme give you the 411 before I tell you what The Cat thinks.

Weruva is one of our favorite brands. They provide my lunch everyday. As soon as we found out they were adding cat litter to their line of cat products, we vowed to try it.
One of the most popular discussion topics in Facebook cat forums is the litter box. What kind of litter do you use? Do you use clay litter? What’s a good alternative to clay litter? We’ve tried quite a few of the alternatives and haven’t really been satisfied with any of them. We were most dissatisfied with the way they clumped—or, more accurately didn’t clump.
Weruva Natural Quick Clumping Cat Litter is made with Hinoki Wood (part of the Cypress family) and Green Tea, two responsibly sourced and sustainable materials. TW loves it’s natural green tea aroma. She loves her some green tea but she better not start eating my litter. Hinoki Wood and Green Tea work together to naturally suppress the growth of bacteria and odor in your litter box. There’s no perfume, air fresheners, toxic detergents or artificial scents to harm The Cat. It’s also clay and grain free.
TW decided to transition me to the new litter. She sprinkled a layer on top of my old litter so we really can’t tell you if it’s low dust or tracking but we will in a future post. They’re little beige pellets that don’t look anything like any other litter I’ve ever used. TW says they remind her of Grape Nuts cereal. After a week, the green tea smell is still all she smells when she opens the box.
I haven’t used the box in Pop’s bathroom much since I now have that huge litter box in the hall but within the first few hours after the new litter was innerduced, I test drove it. From the fact that the top layer of litter was intact, TW guesses I got in and out rather quickly after I did my widdle. I’ve used it several time since. I’m not one to like experimenting with new stuff so TW was impressed that this new litter meets my rigid standards.
The new Weruva litter comes in two sizes. Weruva says the 6.7-lb bag should last anywhere from a month to 10 days depending if you have one, two or three cats and the 11.7-lb bag, 50 to 17 days. They recommend putting 2-4 inches of litter in the box. TW puts lotsa litter in the box and I appreciate it since I love to dig.
How would you like to try this litter and see for yourself? Chewy has set aside a bag of Weruva Natural Quick Clumping Cat Litter for one Stunning Keisha reader. I use the clay litter and yep I know it´s not so environmental friendly , but on the other hand you don´t have to put that much of it in the bin :)
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Nice review CK, we've not tried that one but we'll ponder on it!

I wonder if my human would like this litter. We are not picky, but my human sure is particular! It's eco-friendly, but to please her it needs to clump and scoop as easily as World's Best. One other natural-material-based litter she tried practically glued itself to the litter box and she did not like that!
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of green tea, too. I bet Thunder would agree!
ReplyDeleteYou are a beautiful Geisha, Keisha! My mum has tried me with various litters, but I will only use clay clumping litter. My favourite is the earth in the greenhouse! Even when the door is shut to keep me out, I can still squeeze my way in through one of the vents.
ReplyDeleteI think this litter does sound pretty cool CK. I bet it smells nice too. Our old litter was scented, and while it smelled OK it was a bit strong to me. I bet this stuff is soft!
ReplyDeleteInteresting. Not sure it would go over here, as we've been using unscented litter for ages.
ReplyDeleteI would enter this for the shelter where I got my kitty cat. They need it more than I do.

We received a bag of this from Weruva. It took a few weeks for us to use it, but Brulee appears to like it!
ReplyDeleteWe'll hafta check this litter out. We usually don't do well with litters made from strange stuff.
ReplyDeleteDarling darling darling! The Human has been so unhelpful and now here I am talking about toilet issues! We use World's Finest, and while there may not be any connection at all, in the two years I have been using it I have not had any recurrence of the Dreadful Anal Abscess problem I was getting every six months or so. That's really why, connection or not, the Human is not willing to try out other litters, though this one sounds quite delightful. I like to dig and fling! I have not ever used an enclosed baffroom facility, but given my very suspicious nature about enclosed boxes and such, that is probably not on the agenda either. The Human would like it though, as my litter-flinging is very irritating to her. I say, TOO BAD!
ReplyDeleteLove you! XOXOXOXOOXXOOX
This litter sounds pawsome - Mom says we'd love to give it a try! As with Spitty-the_kitty I'm a litter flinger (Hi, my name is Lily, I'm a litter flinger) so maybe this litter won't annoy Mom when she steps on it? MOL!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great blog post CK! ((HUGS)) oxOxo
The litter sounds interesting. I sure would like to win this and give it a try. Thanks for the giveaway. Love the graphics of the Geisha, Miss Keisha.

ReplyDeleteWe just might give this one a try. Great review and luvluvluv the Zen Garden theme
ReplyDeleteYou are a beautiful geisha Keisha! This sounds interesting. I wonder if the Farm cats would like it.
ReplyDeleteGreat review CK. Too bad Chewy doesn't allow Canadian residents to get certificates to get this product as a gift. We do have a Pet Smart here. I am not an adventurer and like my clay litter. Mom doesn't care for the clumping stuff as the toilet is right by my tinkle box so she can throw the solids down the toilet. Mom would like to try it though. You make it sound so good.
